Never heard of it, but it looks like an interesting concept.
Most rmxp games can't go full screen well because the algorithm that finds the screen size has very few constraints.
I suggest just going 2x or 3x from the options menu, because one of those will fill most of your screen.

With character customization I feel like they put less emphasis on the design of the main characters. Yeah you can make Calem/Serena the best, but as a default they are no Hilbert or Hilda.
