I was just playing the virtual console release of Pokemon Red version and my Pikachu tried to evolve after a battle (no thunderstone involved).
Is this some weird glitch?
I was fighting the rival at Pokemon Tower and Pikachu turned level 32 if that matters.

Call me noob but i could end pmd 2 without dying one single time. In case of psmd its desperating.
Difficulty lvl is very irregular, ridiculously easy somes and unreally hard others.
Leveling up is pretty slow at thw point u can end story mode being less than lvl 30.
Your partners are retarded and their artifitial knteligence is useleis.
You cant evolve because gamefreak dont want to do more sprites of the faces (angry/surprised/sad...) so much moves of the pokemon cant be learnt because u r alwaya in first stage.
Enemies are really strong and yveltal final battle is ridiculous. His laser can sweep all your team in oneshot....
Pmd is great but it is bad designed in many ways. Speed stat is useless (while it could be used to increase the critical % like it did in 1st gen)...

Speed stat is used for either accuracy or evasion in Super.
The game is more true to its roguelike roots; strategic item usage is a must.

DESU my only basis for ever mentioning sound type is that there are plenty of existing mons that could be retyped to it. I have NO idea how they could come up with reasons for its effectiveness and resistance against any other typings. Any time I try to think of it I can only conclude that it would be haphazard as fuck.

Besides Rowlet this is the only Gen VII Pokemon I like its design, but: How this is a pure Rock-type instead of Normal/Rock? Will this be viable with Keen Eye and Vital Spirit?
I'm fearing that its evolution will stay on PU like almost all the Rock-types. At least Keen Eye is very usable in Battle (name).

Same way you don't see Pikachu or Growlithe as part Normal type for being very animalistic.
Rockruff is my favorite of all the Gen 7 mons we've seen so far. I hope whatever it evolves into looks good too.
It can be a good OU/UU mon as long as it's fast. Look at Terrakion, Aerodactyl, and Mega Diancie. Scarf Tyranitar, while being bulk on top of speed, applies to an extent too.
