I get the point you're trying to make but that wouldn't make the other Exeggutor "Kanto" Exeggutor considering it's avaliable in Sinnoh, Unova, Johto, and Kalos.
But seeing as tree Exeggutor is exclusive to Alola it would still be named as such despite it being the true form due to its exclusivity.
Wouldn't be surprised if there are real world examples with birds or something.

Anyone else loving the fuck out of all the LORE that comes with the Alolan forms?

The pokedex should really collect and sum up all info you find about various Pokemon while you travel around and speak to people and be an everexpanding encyclopedia. That would be cool.
