We previously "fixed" zangoose, luxray, vespiqueen, audino, samurott, banette, carnivine, lapras, flareon and rampardos
How would you fix the scarecrow cactus?

I'd bulk him up. I actually like that you can play prediction head games with him, between Sucker Punch, Focus Punch and Drain Punch.
Alternately (and probably more effectively) give him better speed so he can get subs up before getting statused, and/or run a SubPunch set.
I like Cacturne a lot, he's just so damn slow and fragile.

I have the same problem. Takes away the fun of the game. I'm 25 with a job. I can understand a few people who play every single day all day hitting around 29, 30 based on the number of XP one can possibly do in a day starting from release date. But to see people at 32, 33, 34, 37 consistently just screams hacking.

So what kind of design themes are being used for pokemon these days? I've been out of the franchise for a long time, and I'm getting back into it once Sun and Moon are out. I remember reading that fire starters were based on the chinese zodiac, and the grasso nes on dinosaurs, though maybe thats been debunked with the new owl grass starter, and the water ones on warriors or weapons. Any other design influences that have been confirmed?
