I don't think I've seen many people talk about them but I think they're actual pretty interesting
IIRC, the Chinese leak mentioned that the Z crystals can allow some Pokémon to change their form like Ash Greninja. crystal that powers up its signature move, as well as possibly giving the legendary itself some stat or ability boost.
We know that Mega Evolution is incompatible with Z moves (since they require different items), which makes sense for balancing purposes. But what if Game Freak wanted to combine the ideas behind the two mechanics? Namely by powering up signature moves without making them as overpowered as the one-shot Z moves, while also giving the Pokemon either a minor stat boost or an ability change? What do you'll think??

That's exactly what they are. You see them turn into the Radiant Sun/Full Moon phases for their signature moves, and then go back immediately after the animation is over. It's purely cosmetic, like the Tao Trio or Xerneas.

Considering Alolan Marowak evolves from regular Cubone, here are the good stuff it keeps:

I'm inclined to believe they won't make it too good based on this movepool alone. From the trailer, it could use a Ghost-type bone move, but still unclear on physical or special lean. Regardless of whatever it is, it'll be good with all this coverage assuming it does get speed.

OK so I usually wait til the latest gen hits before I play the current one, so sith sun/moon around the corner, I can finally break down and play XY/Oras. Why do I do this instead of playing the newest games right away? Because I'm. Filthy cheater. I have a particular team that I've used over the years that I always start with, god bless ActionReply for letting me do so. But I've yet to use a cheat device on a 3ds game. Ive been looking into it and it seems way more overly conplicated than it should be, than it used to be. So I looked into the whole "injecting" thread, buy they limit you to only requesting 3 pokes (per thread), and can't give pokes "illegal" moves (two of my pokes have moves they otherwise shoulder learn, buy I still sleep at night because they're not anything OP and I don't battle competitively anyways)
Anyone have experience using a cheat device on XY? Is there a catch any Pokemon, Modify Moves, Modify Nature, max IVs codes? Don't want to drop $20 extra dollars on something only to find out it won't do what I ask of it.

Go get PKHeX. The reason why you can't request pokes with illegal moves is because they have to trade it to you over the internet and there is a hack checker on trades. PKHeX can do everything you're asking for. Are you familiar with PokeGen? It's kind of like that.

If it doesn't get Water Absorb/Storm Drain/Dry Skin, I'll be pretty let down.
I'll also be let down if Popplio's final form doesn't get Dazzling as an HA. Whether the evo has a Water/Fighting or Water/Fairy typing, it still hard-walls Gale Wings Talonflame, and Dazzling seems like it fits flavorwise.
Also I feel like Tyranitar and Aerodactyl (especially Mega) are going to benefit if Rockruff really does get a Rock-type biting move.

Rayquaza would not be able to mega evolve in Sun and Moon while just knowing the move Dragon Ascent.
It's Stone (not calling it mega stone) would be accessible only in post game. It's not called Rayquazite or Meteorite.
