Immunities do not, they're changed to "Not very effective"
No clue if double weakness exists.
The effectiveness of weakness and resitance is turned down though. NVE does 0.8 instead of 0.5 and SE does 1.25 instead of 2.

There's no reason to ever get emotionally invested in the anime ever again. This was it, this was the moment for Ash to finally do it. It doesn't matter if Ash rolls into Alola with Charizard, Sceptile, and Infernape at his side, there's no reason to believe Ash will ever win a league. It was fine for him to lose in Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn because he just didn't have the experience. At least in Sinnoh it took some legendary bullshit to stop Ash, and even then it let us know that it was possible, that it took DEM to stop Ash. Then Unova cam and tested our faith by being complete dog shit, and we were rewarded with the most competent Ash the world has ever seen. Everything was built up perfectly, never beating Alain, training to overcome his limits with Greninja, the "Ultimate" team, it was perfect. Then Ash's team jobbed harder than ever and we watched 20 years of build up fall apart in 10 minutes.
It's not even anger, it's just disappointment. Most people have been with Ash for almost two decades now and this was their reward. As far as Ash has come, as hard as he and Pikachu have worked, it was all for nothing.
