What happend to the love? Battling feels so cold and mechanical. Why can Pokemon be more like the anime or manga. I don't want my Pokemon to win because it's stats were better. I want them to win because they believed in me, and I believed in them. Natures, IVs and smogen was a mistake. Implament an affection meter, one that can't be cheezed or tampered with, and takes hours to build and days to max out. That should turn the competitive world on its head

Anybody ever play it? I was in love with the game and the cards growing up.

What did you think of it? I think it still had some great mechanics and fun designs. The world was also great.

The card game was phenomenal and had great gameplay which the GBC game emulated really well.

Hey /vp/, I have a very serious problem. I’m fucking crying because of how stupid I am.

Okay, so my girlfriend was supposed to come over to my house today because I was going to go take her to a movie. She lives about 20 minutes away, and the movie we were supposed to see started at 4:15, which was in about 40 minutes. I figured “cool, I’ll just play Pokemon while I wait”.

So I’m playing Pokemon, and having a pretty damn good time. Anyway, she finally does show up, except she’s crying as she walks into my room. Instead of doing the right thing by comforting her, I half-focus on my game and her. She starts telling me her cat died, and just as she was getting into it, I get into a random encounter in my game.

A shiny pidgey. Holy shit. (For those of you who don’t know/care, shiny Pokemon have less than a 1/1,000 chance of appearing; 1/8192 to be exact.). I stare into my screen in amazement, yelling “holy shit, YES”, interrupting her mid-story. She sobs more, and she starts to yell “You don’t even fucking care! YOU JUST WANT TO PLAY YOUR FUCKING GAME!” I’m still looking at my screen, still focusing on catching my shiny Pidgey, when she walks over, and tosses the game against the wall. I run over and pick up my DS hoping that nothing has changed on screen, and quickly noticed that she broke it. My system and my shiny Pidgey, gone forever.

I start screaming every obscenity I know, and started flailing my arms around. I didn’t know she was behind me, and apparently I backhanded her in the face while I was being a dumbass and swinging my fists around. She yells out “FUCK YOU”, and runs out of my house in tears.

What have I done? I’ve fucked up so badly, and I need to know how to approach her. I don’t want a game of Pokemon to be responsible for ruining my best relationship ever. Help me, /vp/.

When/will we get non-humanlike final evolutions of the starters again? They started with the "all starters becoming humanoid" thing in Generation V, and they went even further in Generation VI. Based on the leaks, Generation VII won't be any different.

<Player will not see older Pokemon at all in the main story "Isshu" is fully remote from previous areas
<TMs are unlimited use
<Game has many messages: Truth vs. Ideals, Past and Future, Nature and Technology
<New Pokemon Reshiramu-"Dragon of truth" and Zekuromu-"Dragon of ideal"
<Pokemon are fully animated in battle. Camera dynamic swoops in action
<Dive HM from Hoenn returns
<New Evil Gang "Plasma" They want trainers to liberate Pokemon from battling
<New Town "Hiun City" The biggest location in Pokemon, features dynamic camera unity of 3d and 2d
<Player will automatically use new repel when old repel expire
<New Battle: Triple Battle--player fights opponent with 3 Pokemon at once
<Certain point in game, player must fight rival who uses legendary pokemon
<Player will receive good luck egg early in game to increase exp points
<Summer, Winter Autumn and Spring are in the game. The seasons last one week each.
<It is possible for players to connect to each others game and explore the world in limited co-op
<New Pokemon: "Torunerosu" inspired from the game "Wind Waker" cloud riding frog, pure flying type
