It was a lot cooler of a concept to have a Pokemon with a close bond achieve this kickass form, at least on paper.

I think that Z-moves are looking to be one of the most bland, overcomplicating features in the games thus far. It's like with the TCG introducing X, EX, Legend, BREAK, GX, etc.

It gets too convoluted with shit like Z-moves, and I don't see it being an extra level of "depth" to the metagame either.

They decided an extremely 90s design was in need of a reboot, especially since every gym leader had some degree of redesign.

This is pretty poor logic.
The anime did a bad job of Ash losing, thats the point. If Greninja had been weakned by say, the metagross and lost, it might have been a fair loss. This wasnt.

Venusaur solo run in Red. Easy as fuck, ended with lvl 91

Why? It's just an easy streamroll. It's so easy even 5 year olds do it.

I did a ton when I was younger.

Electabuzz in Emerald. Walrein in Emerald. Swampert in Emerald. Charizard in Firered. Sandslash in Firered.

It's pretty easy to do. You just need a lot of grinding, but with the emulator's speed up button, you can finish the run in a 5 or 6 hours, just like any normal playthrough.

Last night I saw a woman hurl her phone off a bridge into a river because a Pokémon got away from her.

I'm still not sure what got away, however. The only thing I saw on my radar was a Drowzee, but surely missing one Drowzee (a common shitmon where I live) wouldn't cause someone to brick their phone.

This is about the only interesting thing I've seen playing Pokémon go, apart from weird or eccentric regulars that seem to be out whenever I am.

Most of the interesting spawns where I live are in the marshland, which also contains several Pokestops. I was out there while a lure was on, and four teenaged Asian guys come in on bikes, all wearing shorts. Not even 2 minutes after arriving, they're slapping their legs every 15 seconds and yelling about mosquitoes. They rode out about 2 minutes later. All I could think to myself was "I thought shorts were comfy and easy to wear". Shoulda brought your Repels, kids.

I'm not playing as I used to anymore, but I wouldn't say I'm losing interest. I still like the game and can't wait for introduction of new gen mons (fucking NEED my Typhlosion and Murkrow), but I started playing less. This may be due to the fact the town I'm currently in has literally one pokespot and one spawn point that mostly spawns zubats and some horseas some times.

As for IVs, beats me, i don't like them in the main game anyway, I'm not gonna bother with them in a mobile game.
