Whats the point of using Hydropump over surf anymore?
I always thought it was 120 damage. But looking at some moves, I just realized it was changed to 110 in gen 6? This is new to me. Why make an already irrelevant move even more useless.

Surf is very rare nowadays considering Scald's utility in burning everything. Power > Accuracy is very much valued in certain matchups - some pokemon with limited coverage might opt to bring both. Hell, Scald + Hydro Pump is pretty good, who needs Surf?

This has always bothered me. Can y'all help me understand wtf Skill Link actually is. Like, a lot of abilities' names and flavors actually make sense:

>Frisk: checking what someone is holding
>Skill link: what
Also, a lot of mons have abilities that reflect their physiology or pokédex entries or whatever:

Makes sense for some but a lot of multi-hit moves are just like spray n pray moves. Like bullet speed, icicle spear, pin missile. I think a better name for the ability would be something to do with luck or cheating.

I'm glad Alola Forms are diverting Pokemon a little more, but boy do they need something that gives them all personal little things. Shinies have been neat and all, but different colors all around or season versions like say Swasbuck or Vivillion would be really nice, even if its minor things like a Pikachu with spiky hair or a Leafeon with a leaf mane.
Just something to change up things based on like you said, nicknames or trainer ID or something. Hippowdon is a nice thing having two different colors between genders as well.
