Do you think Alolan forms will get new stat distributions, or will they have similar stats to their base forms? Will we even see an overall buff to their bst as a whole?
If they do get buffed base stat totals, could we possibly see a buff to the normal version's stats as well?

They hope that they'll do another run-through of all the shitmons and give them a 10 BST increase, like with this gen.
The stat buffs in the Gen really opened up the door for a whole bunch of retcons that'll improve the game, such as slightly improving the stats of previous shitmons and fixing up certain evolution methods.
Reminder that having a strong bond with your Pokémon, and having a lot of faith, trust, love and friendship is the most important key to winning Pokémon battles. Type differences and using strategy is for queers.

Would signature moves / "special" moves be a feature that could boost the viability of less viable mons, where the move in question only has unique effects based on the mon using it?

Pros: No extra work to create new moves, and other mons wouldn't be able to abuse the best ones, Smeargle in particular.
Cons: More complexity as besides everything else you'd also need to keep track of what special snowflake move certain mons get.

The bullshit most people feel comes in when Ash is literally given EVERY SINGLE mary sue power available, the entire anime hints that it's finally his chance, they hype tge shit out of it....and ash fucking loses due to bullshit.
