if the alolan rattata is a nocturnal-only species adapted to counter yungoos, doesnt it means that regular rattatas are still around alola? i think thats important because it disproves the "if we saw the regular mon in a trailer, then it cant have a alolan form"

Do you not pay attention? Alola Forms are regional variants. These regional variants are the forms that exist in that region. The original Pokemon became those.

I've been playing since the very beginning and I think Game Freak are overdoing it.
It's like every other gen doesn't matter, and it sucks if you youve been supporting the franchise for the past 20 years.

Remember how everyone thought Johto starters will get megas in Sun and Moon
Well with the recent reveals and Alola forms im starting to believe we can forget about it. We do know that Charizard (poke ride) and Blastoise (fire truck) are in Alola so it pretty obvious we'll get Kanto starters AGAIN and they'll most likely will get Z-moves for them (Charizard probably few because why not right?)

They're both average, at best. At the end of the day, Feraligatr is just a poor man's Gyarados and Typhlosion's Eruption spam is shut down by priority.

Some of them are well executed as where as some others could be seen as trying too hard. Nothing new there. Same goes for Alolan forms. But personally I think Alolan forms are very boring concepts (meh, genwun, etc).

They will just be variations of the same form if they do have more than one evolution. Popplio will still evolve into a siren, Litten will still evolve into a wrestler, Rowlet will still evolve into an archer.
