I know the "owls are birds" thing is just a meme but why aren't owls counted as birds? They have feather-like fur and they can fly. They have binocular vision but that is a bird of prey thing. To me I don't see why they aren't.

It's a Pokémon from a different dimension/universe. We know that literal garbage can turn into Pokemon due to some magical reason so why are you all assuming this thing won't be playable with at some point in the game? They never specifically say in the website "they're not Pokemon". They just say they're mysterious new entities.

It's gonna be something similar to a Pokemon, but not exact.
Calling it now, there will be a separate "Ultra Beast" PC for when you capture them, and you won't do it with Pokeballs. They'll probably be held with dimensional cubes or something. And they'll have Aether type.

Her model is really weird compared to her official art. She very clearly has drills and overlapping bangs, but none of it is actually represented in the model.
Its terribly poor, I hope one day GameFreak will learn how to model properly.

You're right except for that last point.
They never showed Exeggutor, Ninetales, Sandslash, or any others off until the Alola forms. Likewise, the Japanese sites keep updating with the Gen I mons shown in trailers that DIDN'T have Alola forms. So if it's shown in a trailer initially without the form, it's not getting one.
