I don't think a full reboot, but it might be a good way to justify a MAJOR balance revamp in the latter half of gen 8, which would be completely possible given that they have no compulsion to make games within the same gen compatible for battles anymore if X/Y/ORAS set a precedent.
They could get rid of a lot of the legacy mechanics, like incense for breeding babies, and do BST overhauls aimed at bringing some diversity to VGC. Probably a pipe dream though.
Giratina will definitely have some role in the Sinnoh remakes and will definitely have some involvement with the UB thing in the distortion world.
