So I posted a few weeks prior about replaying White 2 to see if it was shit or not.
Here's what I thought it did right.
Gameplay
>Showed some consideration for the players by allowing me to save before things like getting my starter.
>More consideration for things like battling Colress (gives you an 'are you ready dialogue', etc, while giving me surprises like Hugh's auto battles at the same time.
>Pokemon were placed well, allowing me to have a steel type before a poison gym and a fighting type before the normal gym and a ground type before the electric gym. I believe that the dungeons that you went to before the first 4 gyms all included Pokemon that would help you win, which was cool.
>Levels were always solid. I played though normal mode and didn't grind and I found trainers levels to be a little above mine when I first begin an area, and I'm above them when I leave. Perfect.
>NPCs usually didn't guide you and instead gave you hints as to where you should be going if you get lost. Ex. Alder says "Hey I heard the gym in first town opened back up".
>HM usage was limited to surf, and waterfall and fly to complete the story which isn't bad at all.
Cons:
>While Pokestar Studios was optional, I found the interface to be too slow if I messed up and had to start over
>It's pretty linear, but that may be a good thing for some of you. I'm glad that they stopped you from going where you shouldn't, but sometimes I wish that they had a better way of telling you.
>The animated battle sprites are still strange.
Personal
>I enjoyed the Xtransceiver events with Yancy, boy do I wish they implemented that better than "step in this place". Overall I think its a step in the right direction as far as dating sims in Pokemon goes.
>I'm fine with legends coming out of nowhere, but I wish I just stumbled upon them in an optional cave, instead. They did do that in BW1 though, so it's fine.
>Overworld was very pretty when I wasn't in Castelia.
>>33176718
More Personal
>Unova isn't my favorite region, but I did enjoy how they tried to implement the theme of culture.
>I liked that you couldn't get the box legend until after the game.
>The Lentimas Town ghost house is probably my favorite part of the game and I wish they would do more things like that.
Discuss. What did you like/hate?
>>33176718
>Zero ribbons
Literally the worst gen ever, everything it managed to get right got overshadowed by the mere fact that not a single ribbon is obtainable in-game
0/10 would never play again, unless I'm using it to import pokemon with ribbons from older generations into the newer ones
Call me a masochist, but I like unfair difficulty in the games. Fighting your rival after just making it through a cave, or otherwise having to fight when you're not ready for it is part of the charm of the games to me. Same for not having access to a particular type until after you finish the gym that's weak to it. That said, I do like that it's optional, and if I want my difficulty I can just choose to do the Colress fight even if my pokes are nearly dead, or refuse to use the healing trainer in the middle of a cave.
>Levels were always solid. I played though normal mode and didn't grind and I found trainers levels to be a little above mine when I first begin an area, and I'm above them when I leave. Perfect.
Agreed desu. The best level curves are the ones you don't notice.
>NPCs usually didn't guide you and instead gave you hints as to where you should be going if you get lost. Ex. Alder says "Hey I heard the gym in first town opened back up".
Disagree here, Alder saying that is basically the same as NPC's guiding you. He's basically just telling you to get your ass back to the first gym.
>HM usage was limited to surf, and waterfall and fly to complete the story which isn't bad at all.
One of the most underrated strengths of gen V imho. I recently replayed Platinum, and Jesus, so many HM's.
Personally I'd like to add the story to the list of pros. I know people on this board are very divided about the focus on the story in gen V, but I felt like it really added something to the games we hadn't seen before
Nu male doesn't even make sense, call it something like "fedora" at least

>I try way to hard to fit in on 4chan

>slapping the faggot type on my favorite ghost type
Holy shit, Misdreavus looks awful now
>>33176588
OP here, and I totally agree. Believe me, they were all terrible. Misdreavus/Mismagius are perfect the way they are and should never be altered
IMO ORAS Pokédex is the best
>>33176435
The HGSS interface was pretty comfy desu
HGSS/XY because it's like a grid instead of a list. Way better navigation.
>>33176435
ORAS interface was the best by far and my favorite.
For me SM had the worst interface, but the pics were cool.

Is this Panda? I think this is Panda.
Confess your sins to father arceus. You shall be forgiven of your sinssometimes if I really really like a Pokemon, I won't release it if it dies in battle if I'm doing a nuzlocke run
>father
I put a pocket pussy inside my Rowlet plush, and I fuck it from time to time.
>>33176300
You don't have to release your Pokemon if they die. You only have to never use them again. On that same topic, in older games, I capture static/waiting Pokemon if the story forces you to encounter them since they don't respawn if you defeat them and I might want to use them in the game after my run is over.

>Why should I give a shit?
Pomf's a fucking queer but a ton of people turn to his shitty wiki for referencing general info on the series because a better alternative doesn't exist, therefore it influences what the fans think, including but not limited to "what do we call [x] character?". This would be fine on its own, influencing the hivemind, the problem is that they are very inconsistent with the info they display.
This is the same wiki that insists the gender of Ash's Charizard is ambiguous and don't you fucking bring up that female Charizard he liked in Johto they will not deny the existence of lesbian Charizards you fucking homophobe, the same wiki that says Stoutland didn't die in Sun and Moon and is still alive and the only way to change this is if a children's show explicitly says he died, the same wiki that doesn't report the correct seiyuus for months on end, and now the same wiki that tells you chicken-chan is Moon when we have this fucking image that tells you she's not.
>m-muh canon name for nameless blank slates
who gives a shit?
Get a life, faggot.

>>33176061
>Not actually playing
Faggot confirmed.
>replaying Emerald
>come across this and completely forgot it existed
Yet another thing ORAS fucked up on. Nice remake Ohmori.
>completely forgot it existed
I dont blame you
It was shit, forgettable and badly implemented in the game
>>33175948
>It was shit, forgettable and badly implemented
So just like ORAS?
Original Emerald was so jam-packed with stuff to do from Battle Frontier to Contests to rematching gym leaders, hell even the fucking Trick Master's house, so many things you forget some of them
While in ORAS...
What's the point of this Pokemon?
>>33175911
I believe it actually has two
>>33175911
To be a pokedex filler

This thread is for the growth of artists and those who draw for fun. If you’re going to give critique, please do it constructively. Rude or blunt critiques won’t help anybody. Artists please feel free to post anything you have created and want to share, even it is isn't requested, we love to see what you are all working on!
Requesters are free to request what they wish, but avoid bumping your request every half hour as it’s only going to put people off; try giving it a few hours or more. Please provide references in ONE image, especially when requesting something outside of the Pokémon universe. And if you request something from the old Drawthread or a separate thread, COPY & PASTE the actual request instead of posting a link.
New artists are welcome to join in the fun! If you need any help, some artists are very keen to help, so don’t be afraid to ask.
First for where are the old drawfags
Musbushel doing something cute
Requesting Kris and Rosa in each others outfits.
So this is it, Serena is officially dead and forgotten.
