Also there's always the option of just breeding for natures, moves, and HAs then using powersave to max IV them. It's what I do because it feels less scummy than genning. I sware on me mum I'll stop in gen 5 if hyper training isn't a complete fucking chore to do.

Yes, but there's a 5% they hold the item. I would tell you to have a Pokemon with Static in the first slot but it only works from Emerald and beyond (If a lead Pokemon has Static then it increases the chance of encounter an Electric-type Pokemon)

I have about 4 boxes of battle ready pokemon. I guess it's not that much since XY came out three years ago, which was when I got into competitive.

From ORAS I have only used some of the new megas. There are some megas that I have literally never used, either for competitive or regular gameplay, like Audino and Mega Camerupt.

I don't battle that much these days. It's just more of the same by now. Luckilly it seems that SM will mix things up again.

When I do battle online, I usually play doubles. I have a pretty Trick Room team consisting of Cofragigus, Scrafty, Aromatisse, Scizor and two other mons I keep rotating.

If you like Trick Room, I highly recommend Aromatisse. Its anti-taunt ability is awesome for setting it up.


The last competitive team I built is a mono type water one, but I have only used it to play with a friend of mine who's not that into competitive. My team would probably get stomped if I faced a more experienced player.

I have 90% of PU(smogon tier) so like 5 1/2 boxes worth multi sets, and more than half of the rest for every other tier no Ubers in my PC since I despise them just in my dex. total I have more than 15 I'd say since boxes I've never fused them(all have pentagons except older gen exclusive like Sucker Punch mons or defog Empoleon /latios/as. I have all pokemon games so I can go way far back.(still need to beat league in Emerald tho) I
