The last pokemon game that I really got into was Black and White 1, which I thought was REALLY good at the time and thought it was one of the best despite constant people shitting on the gen 5 designs.
Now as of today I do have black 2 and pokemon Y but I never got to playing either of them. Which one should I play that will not bore me to death? I'm not sure if I want to buy sun or moon yet or the gen 3 remakes seeing as I have no idea how much these games evolved.

I dunno how you guys can't tell but, every alolan pokemon so far has not been drawn and more than likely are also not designed by sugi. It's all Ohmura now with the exception of certain human characters like Kukui, Hau, and Lillie who are in his style.

Recently there's been a lot of hate/love on HGSS, I was just playing through it and I want to discuss with you all, hopefully opening someone's eyes, why there's no reason to shit on any pokémon game.
Sure, the level curve was a fucking bore.
Every single trainer was underleveled, battles were boring ass shits with gym battle posing just the slight challenge they should (actually, only falkner, bugsy, and pryce [jesus christ that piloswine is buffed as fuck])

Silver was actually hard, every battle ended up with a sweaty 1v1, I lost a couple of times to the rocket leader and Lance took me MORE THAN THIRTY MINUTES.
Jesus, it's been the most HYPE battle I've ever had in the last 8 Years, cause last time I was so excited about winning the league was exactly on my first HG run.

I went in with lv34-36 shitmons, Ledian did pratically nothing except setting a 4 turn screen to just die, 15levels over dragonites ONE SHOTTED everyone in my team except Quagsire cause of protect and Magnezone cause of steel type (ofc I could only switch him in outrage cause fire blast fucked my ass up), but I still managed to do it with Exeggutor's seeds and Weezing's poison.
Jesus, 32 minutes in and the third full restore on lv50 dragonite was hinting I should have fucking killed myself, but I did it. Using 20 revives, 20 hyper pots, and 10 full restore.
No boring grinding to a even more boring champion battle where I stomp everyone with stab + supereffect.
Just me, my pokes, and some strategy.

I'm jsut fucking excited like you all should be playing this game.
Of course I've decided to play it hard, raising an annoyer Exeggcutor instead of going full damage, and raising a ledian who's wheighted my team down all the way sucking experience away.
But what if every game can be enjoyed if played the right way? Hell I could even enjoy ORAS. But I better wait for SM to come out.
Just wanted to share this with you, boys, why out of all things it has to be pokémon to make me feel this much alive?

Before SunMoon officially kicks off Gen-VII and makes this goddamn piece of work out-dated to a degree where I won't be able to just add a few new Sugi-Arts to fix it...
Here is a now interactive version of my Gen-VI Sugimori Montage:

Basically, I took 120p Sugimori Artworks of all Pokémon, gave them a background colour showcasing their type/s, grouped them with their evolutionary line, then grouped all of those together by their primary type, while taking into consideration the national-dex order (place decided by whatever stage was released first) (well it was more complicated than that, since I wanted the whole picture to have a sense of order as well, determining the group-shapes and positions etc, but yeah..)
And then late added all the new Megas and forms intorduced in ORAS up to U-Hoopa...so it only lacks Volcanion now (which I haven't added cause I can't be bothered to add that sucker by now)
The new part this time is that you can hover over any of the type-groups with your mouse, and it highlights all the PKMN with that type as their secondary type within the rest of the picture (check out Flying).

If I make a new version of it once we have the first complete batch of Gen7 Art, I haven't figured out yet how I'll handle Alola forms. Following the current logic of it, Ice Vulpix/Ninetales simply belong added to the Ice group as well, just like Mega evolutions/forms are also present on this one...but the issue arises when you get to things Like Cubone, which stays regular, but Marowak having a Fire/Ghost type form, since I cannot put Alola-Marowak into the Fire group without isolating it from Cubone, or having a Ground-type Cubone twice on the picture... I'll see.
