Game freak created Pokémon But Nintendo owns Pokémon trademark.

Pokemon has 1,2,4 position in highest selling 3ds games and sells a shit ton of systems. Gamefreak probably has a small budget and huge profit margin. As a business Gamefreak is amazing developers.

emerald and platinum are iconic, and b2w2 made me love the series all over again after dropping it since pearl. and i really like their experiments with the game, trying out how we'd like megas, player customization, amie, z moves, tweak upon tweak of existing mechanics, and dropping the battle frontier so they can introduce the black tower/white treehollow/battle chateau/battle tree/etc. the reveal was lackluster, but it was just a reveal of one pokemon. and it just leaves me guessing: is there going to be new pokemon? the vagueness of news is familiar, what am i looking forward to this fall? it makes me eager to play the game anyway just to see what other things and ideas they want to play with with us, y know?

Well now it's probably going to be the least popular now since dusk will be shilled in the anime and it's just a more interesting recolor of midday. Midnight was already the more popular form to begin with.

I liked Gen 6 and I liked SM but I am still mad about Lycanroc. That design reveal was one of the most anti-climatic and disappointing moments I have ever had as a Pokemon fan.

While I do too, I feel they should be more condensed. Instead of 5 1 minute cutscenes, make it 1 6 minute cutscene and just integrate the walking into the cutscene instead of giving control for 2 seconds.

I both agree and disagree here. I for one prefer a more streamlined path to the end, but there should be optional areas along the way where you can find rare items and pokemon.

I'm not in love with the new design, but its certainly an improvement over Midday, which was already far superior to Midnight.

I prefer one of each, which SM delivered. I also prefer friendly rivals over ones who can't back up their bullshit, like Silver.

While I disagree, its still a breath of fresh air. Having gyms be the main method with new things like trials every so often would be ideal to me.

you answered your question. Why would game freak go through all that trouble when it sells way more than DQM. they dont have put in the same effort. they have a fanbase will buy and defend what they make because it was their ”childhood series”

I really don't have any problem with the design. I actually like it. It's pretty.

But if it's still a shitmon, dare I say, even LESS viable than the other two forms, that's when I'm gonna really be disappointed in GF.

My 3DS got banned from online and I don't even care because the PSS is now gone. Literally the only reason I used online.

Yes. It was by far the best bottom screen feature of any of the games and it even emulates that feel of the anime when you're traveling around and find other people playing to battle against. It was genuinely a fun feature and it made playing on cart worth it for once.

Why they replaced it in SM for the knock off join avenue and the "hold down this button for 5 seconds and tell someone else to do the same thing instead of simply tapping someone's icon and requesting them" is fucking beyond me.
