I see no reason besides laziness why this couldn't be done. You may not find it competitively viable, but it fits the lore better.
From a mechanics persepctive, an ability that does nothing but replace the user's type effectively means Arceus and Silvally get no benefit from their abilities during a battle, because all known means to switch a held item in battle are very impractical.

I started playing the day the demo was realeased but it doesn't appear to be progressing in time. Ive been checking the guy by the center every couple hours since yesterday and he still says come back tomorrow or whatever. And yes I completed the initial play the day it dropped. It's even on its second day and night cycle since then

I guess I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem before I redownload the app and screw up my days for events

Can we talk about how depressing the fact that you get Ash-Greninja in the demo is?

You have here a pokemon that is so bonded to its trainer that it actually assumes physical characteristics of that person in some unprecedented form of mega-evolution.

And that trainer gives that pokemon away.

To you.

And every time that Greninja uses Battle Bond, you just feel sad because...that trainer? You would never tell Greninja, but you know that he's never coming back for it.

I'm going to have to release mine as soon as I transfer it to the main games. It's just too sad.
