OP here. In addition to this, Solgaleo has a red mouth and red 'pieces'. Lunala has a blue 'stomach' corresponding to the blue line.

Actually it'd be interesting if Solgaleo and Lunaala were the third stage of this line being the first evolving legendaries as well as another split evo probably based on time of day, or in this case game version. The bottom one looks like both sun and moon representations, as the left and right have crescent shapes and the other parts the sun rays.

I just think its like, a weakened state they're probably meant to be in when not, y'know, active. Just instead of being purely plot ('dead' ho-oh, stone Groudon/Kyogre, etc) they're also pokemon.

Probably gonna come up in the plot, one of them is inside lillies bag because Ultra beasts/the other one/marshadow/skull/aether/Arceus/etc kicked its ass back to such a state.

Fire/Psychic is more neutral ground.

An Aether grunt by the name of Guzma now angry with Lusamine escapes along with Gladion and his Type: Null. Guzma helps Gladion control UB-00, and starts Team Skull. Team Skull's main goal is to free Pokémon from the Aether Foundation. To help do this Guzma seeks the Eye of either Solgaleo or Lunala (depending on the version) which is now with UB-01 Lillie. He's looking for Solgaleo and Lunala because he believes they're strong enough to put an end to the Aether Foundation.
After her failed attempt to recreate Arceus Lusamine sets her goal to creating something stronger. Her own Ultra Beast. With more Ultra Beasts now entering the Pokémon dimension she creates a way to capture them known as the Beast Ball. The events of Sun and Moon pick up from there.

As you can tell there is quite a lot of story to Sun and Moon. This will be revealed over the course of the game. Now I'll share some more info about the game itself.

-Ultra Beasts can be caught, but aren't considered Pokémon.
-Your first encounter with one is after you beat Hala the first Kahuna.
-The first one is UB-02 which is different depending on the version.
-You can't capture UB-02 when you fight it, and must defeat it.
-After defeating it Wicke and Aether grunts arrive to capture it. This is your first time meeting them.
-After beating the four Kahunas and completing The Island Challenge Lusamine asks you to capture the four remaining Ultra Beasts.
-One Ultra Beast is located on each of the four islands.
-You won't be able to use them after catching them. Instead they go directly into the Aether Foundation's possession.
-The final boss is UB-Z.
-UB-Z is a fusion of Zygarde and UB-00 Wrath, and is Lusamine's failed attempt at creating her own Ultra Beast.
-UB-Z is basically Totem Zygarde. The only difference is that it has black energy around it.
-You're forced to use the other Ultra Beasts to fight UB-Z.
-After beating UB-Z you can use UB-01 through UB-06 like regular Pokémon, however they can't be used online or in battle facilities.
-Returning to Aether Island after beating the game you can receive UB-00. It works like all the other Ultra Beasts.

The datamined Alola Forms and evolutions (not talking about the starters' here), no third Legendary and the fact that they actually dropped exploring Mega Evolution permanently have made me much, much less hyped for the games. As did Masuda and Ohmori's recent interview in which they straight up lied to our faces. I'm super bummed out by this. I've lost all respect I had for GameFreak completely. And the worst part is, I still believe Sun & Moon are going to be the best Pokémon games in the entire franchise, which really says something looking at the shit they've been throwing at us the past 3 years.

I was hyped until they revealed Switch. Now I'm hyped for Switch, but I'm sure SM won't be bad. I particularly like pokeride, the new graphics, the fact that the city in the demo looks like an actual city, and the dex is small, but full of good or at least not-that-bad designs (except for some of them, but it's a minority)

Gen I bike is one of my favourite tunes from Pokémon, which is fortunate because it doesn't fate out when you change locations like in later games and you'll be using it A LOT in Gen I.

I've always been partial to the Acro Bike. Faster than walking, and being able to hop around was fun. I liked the bike-exclusive areas too, it was kind of neat to see GF making puzzles that didn't revolve around needing an HM, even if those were limited to secret base locations or Sky Pillar/Mirage Tower's Mach Bike segments.
