The tone of this series is slightly different with occasional "Meme Faces". This is not your typical "from A to B" type of Adventure anymore, instead, this is a "Slice of Life", where the Main Cast is not restricted to a specific route , they can go wherever they want, anything can happen at any moment. This series can be divided into multiple "Mini Arcs". In between of them, there are either Character Focused Episodes or Fillers. Basically, the previous series can be described as a "Story" for a person who plays Pokemon, but this series are more of a "Post Game" instead. If you like it - go ahead.

I didn't buy S/M so I guess I'll use this as my entry into gen 7.
FRLG got Sevii Islands
Emerald got Battle Frontier an gym leader rematches
Platinum also got Frontier and rematches
HGSS got following Pokemon and Pokeathlon
BW2 got Pokemon World Tournament, Pokestar Studios aswell as the whole sequel aspect (so the story was all new)
ORAS got dexnav, soaring with mirage spots and legion
of legendaries
What will be USUM's bonus content?
Catching all legends again? Or PWT 2 hinted with old characters in SM? Following Pokemon maybe could work because they have the animations but these might be testing for the Switch. Other ideas? Maybe all mythicals? ORAS had Deoxys.
