>UBs are catchable
Today seems to be the day where impossible things are happening.
Wouldn't you agree, OP?
they're literally just pokemon but with slightly weirder designs that happen to share BST and an ability.
they only made the distinction to bait people into buying the game.
>imagine it not
>imagine it being a shittier Scald
>>29773594
All of those abilities now say that they do in their description text. Liquid Voice doesn't. Pure trash, stick to Torrent.
>>29774053
Hey man, Torrent was okay once upon a time.
>>29774053
Let's not go crazy now

NOOOOOOOO WHAT THE FUCK IS YOU DOIN RETARD DON'T MAKE THIS SHIT PUBLIC GAMEFREAK IS GONNA SHUT IT DOWN WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?
>>29774388
Not to rain on your parade, but I won't be surprised to learn that they've already worked on shutting it down.. It's all over Twitter, and has for sure gotten to Masuda's attention. Plus Nintendo.
>>29774418
Of course...
No one can keep shit low key enough nowadays
Oh well, i haven't downloaded yet so it won't affect me
My first shiny and it only took 3 hours
>it's a fucking ratatta
Congrats?
I honestly don't care about shinies anymore, Poke(Sav/Gen/Hex) ruined everything

BIG IF TRUE
>>29773435
Wait pls tell me what is the difference between this ability and receiver?
>Hey guys, know that great utility move that only had 20 BP so Taunt wouldn't affect it? Yeah, how about we make it three times stronger, and even stronger when it does its job of removing the opponent's item so it becomes the best move in the entire game?
Why?
>oh and let's not nerf it in the gen we made to fix mistakes
WHY?
They made it stronger because physical Dark types had exactly zero good attacks
>>29773339
it doesn't do more damage when it removes an item anymore
quit fucking whining it's already been nerfed you retards
>>29774268
but you're actually wrong
Would long reach make it so Brave bird wouldn't have recoil? I mean, seriously, it has to do SOMETHING, right? It's fucking garbage as an ability, at least make it so moves that are non-contact normally get a power boost or something.
>>29773312
Iron barbs/rough skin/rocky helmet is seriously all it does.
Better with overgrow honestly.
>>29773312
Probably just avoids abilities like poison point or that new attack that can burn during charge up
>>29773312
>>29773335
The ability isn't that bad, it's fine for the most part
the problem is they gave it mixed attacker stats for no reason. If they were going to give it long reach then why even bother putting 100 points in it's Sp. Attack?
>This Pokémon has the habit of hugging its companions. Many Trainers have left this world after their spines were squashed by its hug.
>It takes control of anyone who puts a hand in its mouth. And so it adds to the accumulation of its sand-mound body.
>Buried beneath the castle are masses of dried-up bones from those whose vitality it has drained.
>Those attacked by Toxapex’s poison will suffer intense pain for three days and three nights. Post-recovery, there will be some aftereffects.
>It’s awfully weak and notably tasty, so everyone is always out to get it. As it happens, anyone trying to bully it receives a painful lesson.
>It adores having Rattata and Raticate for dinner, but as it’s diurnal, it never encounters them. This Pokémon boasts incredible patience.
>Its singing voice is its chief weapon in battle. This Pokémon’s Trainer must prioritize the daily maintenance of its throat at all costs.
>This Oricorio has sipped red nectar. Its passionate dance moves cause its enemies to combust in both body and mind.
>Filled with pheromones, its poisonous gas can be diluted to use in the production of luscious perfumes.
>A lonely Pokémon, it conceals its terrifying appearance beneath an old rag so it can get closer to people and other Pokémon.
>Although it’s too sugary for human consumption, Bounsweet’s sweat can be watered down into a juice with just the right amount of sweetness.
>A Pokémon known for the beauty of its well-shaped legs, it sometimes appears as a mascot in advertisements for beauty salons.
>BKP Development Record #2 Anti-UB Fighting life-form, B (Beast) K (killer) The president has approved the proposed budget for this development project, so it will be implemented.
>BKP Development Record #5 Materials for development have been collected from the Canalave Library in the Sinnoh region. Plans are being drawn up for the specifications of the Type change program, known as the RKS System. Work is underway on designing the specifications of special memories for said system.
>BKP Development Record #7 Collection of cells of all Types for genetic modeling has been completed. Blueprints for the skeletal structure have been approved, and incubation of the bio-frame is underway.
>BKP Development Record #11 Dummy test of the RKS System program has been completed. Type has been successfully altered with all 18 special memories. The transplantation of the RKS System program to the models is underway. The BK’s official name has been set as Type: Full.
>BKP Development Record #18 Production of three models has been completed. They are identified as serial number 01, serial number 02, and serial number 03. All three models rejected the RKS System upon initialization during testing. Shortly after these initialization errors, all three models of Type: Full went berserk.
BKP Development Record #44 Models have been fitted with control masks to mitigate the effects of their rejection of the RKS System. Due to the implementation of these control masks, our RKS System initialization tests have failed. All three models of Type: Full are to be cryogenically frozen for the rest of eternity. The name of these models has been changed from Type: Full to Type: Null.
>there are 3 Type: Null left alone and frozen somewhere
>>29773556
THAT'S SO COOL
>>29773556
>All three models of Type: Full are to be cryogenically frozen for the rest of eternity.
Why don't they just straight up kill them?
What´s /vp/ opinion about him?
Obvious VGC dude.
>>29773080
It has a decent, if average BST. I'm actually likely to start learning the doubles format since I bought Moon mainly for Oranguru and Drampa.
Does anyone know if he learns Recover?
>>29773149
Both are sun exclusives
Ok, lets get some stuff straight for anyonelike myselfthat might get some details from the game confused, such as:
>Version exclusives
>Names/moves
>Abilities
> General Mechanics
In short, Sun and Moon Q&A thread for people to learn under ayy lmao's
Could someone summarize the plot?
does anyone have a definite list of which ubs are in what version? i know about buzzwole and pheromosa.
also, has anyone found necrozma in game? really hoping this guy isn't an event
Please explain this Cosmog -> Cosmoem -> Solgaleo/Lunala evolution thing.
And is Necrozma a UB or not?
Can we take a moment to appreciate one of the best birbs?
First, let's discuss the whole family line. I love how all 3 have their own special quirk. Pikipek is a woodpecker, plain and simple. Trumbeak makes loud noises by bending its beak (which you can actually see in one of its animations), and Toucannon...TOUCANNON. Just
Recent studies in the past few years have shown that toucan beaks have another purpose besides reaching for fruits on branches too thin to perch on. The beaks also function as thermoregulators, similarly to desert hare ears or elephant ears.
So Gamefreak did what only Gamefreak would: make its beak heat up with RAGE. Toucannon is an ANGRY toucan. How often do you see toucans portrayed as angry? Fruit Loops ain't got shit on Toucannon. And it shoots things from its beak. That alone is impressive.
In terms of stats, Toucannon has the same base attack as Staraptor, which is very surprising. And considering the fact that it has Skill Link, learns Brick Break, Flame Charge (a nice reference to the thermoregulating beak), Rock Blast, Swords Dance, U-Turn, Brave Bird, and Bullet Seed, and has Sheer Force as its hidden ability, it's sure to hit hard.
But it's other stats are pretty bad. Toucannon itself is more of like a worse Staraptor, so that's a bit of a shame.
BUT WAIT
It gets a signature move: Beak Blast!
Flying type physical attack; 100 BP, 100 Accuracy
>The user first heats up its beak, and then it attacks the target. Making direct contact while it's heating up its beak results in a burn
While turn-charging moves are very predictable, Beak Blast is still a really cool move imo.
Well, that's all I have to say. What do you guys think about Toucannon or Pikipek's entire family line in general? The one thing I don't like about Toucannon is the fact that they never officially revealed ANY of Pikipek's evos. Why? It's the regional early route bird, isn't it? Don't they usually show those off first?
>>29772876
is shit, like unfezant his attack is high but everything else is shit
>>29772876
The fact that it is usually standing and not flying, and the beak animation sold me on it
One of my favorite pokemon from this gen. Liked it even before the animation. Can't wait to train him and buy the merch of him.

Why the fuck is everything so slow?
Is this gen just gonna be completely ignored by competitive because of that?
