Pretty sure you can get porygon from someone and eevee from an egg. I think a Type:Null and cosmog (I've heard two) are gifted too, but I'm not so sure. That's all I know, hope it helps.

In Gen V I named myself 'Nochet because Pinochet was too long for the game to accept

I give my character the canon name in every game from Gen 1-5, but since the introduction of customization I just try making a shitty self-insert of myself because the default costumes for the XY/SM characters suck.

Better that way really. Its to be a cute little simulation of actually having pokemon. This way you occasionally use it to see more of your favs and strengthen them with less status effects, while getting bored of it every once in a while to keep your focus on the game

I feel like I remember super/ultra training means you can boost a pokemon's IVs as well as their EVs so literally any pokemon can be made competition ready. Is that not true?

Plus they removed horde battles so EV training mons will be much more tedious than the previous gen.

More Z-moves and Sinnoh Forms in the Gen4 remakes. Gen 8 will bring back Z-moves but not add more, and will have more Regional mons. Going forward they will add more Regional mons to increase the number of possible pokemon without inflating the dex. Likewise, they will add a few more Mega's, and thats about it. MAYBE Z-moves for legendaries.

They never ditched megas (I'm pretty sure they made a comment about this during an interview a few weeks ago) there just aren't new ones because Z-moves are the focus of gen 8. They could appear in any new game in the future but they'll be much less common than they were in gen 6.

Ultraspace is a story element that will probably end up becoming an essential part of Pokemon lore so I'm sure we'll get more Pokemon from there (esp if they connect it to gen 4)

Regional Variants are cute and popular so we'll have to see if they comeback.
