you should get 313 prestige for that fight
you have to swap out all of your pokemon to be below the one you fight with, even if you arent using them
the prestige is based off of the highest attacker in your party, it doesn't care who you use for each battle
they couldn't spare the resources to determine what is actually fighting what, so they just used the highest in the party and called it a day

They did. Now you have the STS - Streetpass Trade System where you put up a Pokemon for trade, go outside and hopefully someone has the pokemon you want and it automatically trades it

It's still in game. it's pretty neat but without a national dex I don't see searching for non-alola mons being very fun if you're going for a living pc you'd need to remember what mons you have/don't have I guess. and everyone wants the same damn mon right now it seems.

Supposedly, an npc mentions that when Pokémon call for help, the new Pokémon has an increased shiny rate.

MM's probably a safe bet to return, as well as chain fishing.

What about that thing we saw in the one preview, where the grass was shaking and when the streamer got too close, a Makuhita rushed him? Can anyone confirm an increased shiny rate for these encounters?

I'm pretty sure those are just annoyance encounters that have a chance of dropping an item at the end.

Fish chaining doesn't seem to viable since you can pull up items now. I'm not sure if Suction Cups can keep you from getting them or not. Only other form of chaining we know of is Pokemon calling for help.
