So aside from banned people, more specifcally, people that had already pre-ordered and were planning on buying the game on release, never being able to buy another Pokemon game again, what other things are gonna contribute to Gamefreak's downfall? You can't make good sales if people can't buy your games at full price and you get all the profit.

100% way to play 3ds games online again
Step1.Check if you are banned
Step2. Make sure you have another hacked 3ds with decrypt9
Step3 take the other 3ds and extract the localFriendCodeSeed_B it will be in the /decrypt9 directory
Step4 Take that file and put it in the same folder on the banned 3ds
Step 5 go into d9 on the banned 3ds and go to either sysnand for al9h or emunand for eh emunand
step 6 go into system file inject and select the localFriendCodeSeed_B file
Step 7 reboot
You will have a new friend code and still wont be able to get on eshop but online play should work
If you are using a friends hacked 3ds if you get banned they get banned too as its their file so be aware of that

I live in a small city/town in buttfuck nowhere (western Newfoundland). the EB I preordered from is doing a midnight release, but I won't be able to make it until later on Friday.
would they (EB in general, I mean) normally hold on to a few copies for people who can't make it to the midnight release?

For the people who didnt get banned. REMOVE SUN AND MOON NOW. You could get banned even after playing on the 18th because your string version of the game could be wrong.

Rank the starters on most to least FUN to use.
I'd put Swampert, Infernape, Torterra, Sceptile, Venusaur, Chesnaught, and Greninja high.
Blastoise, Emboar, Meganium, Serperior, and Samurott low. Maybe Typhlosion but at least it gets Extrasensory and Eruption.
