I feel like theres something more to the surf routes that we dont know yet
Poni Island is unchanged except for the new surf area added, and strangely, one surf area next to Exeggutor Islands suddenly vanished,
There'd be no reason to remove that unless they let us surf to Exeggutor island ourselves, though we dont have any rock boundaries to indicate that or divide us from the rest of the ocean, it's also notable that this is the only instance in the map where an areas been removed
Next there's a herd of Wailord chillin in the middle of nowhere that we wouldnt be able to see at all unless we could go there
And then we have new beaches added all over the map, and several Beach Houses on top of them
Thoughts?
Maybe we'll take a cruise ship like the SS Anne to check out the Wailord and the Beach Houses will open up new ways to explore like Diving or a Surfing Minigame like Yellow

Shit. I do remember the Riddler mentioning something having been "sealed away" in that last stretch of leaks less than a month before the games reveal. One of his hints (listed after Pheromosa but before Magearna in his "dex") was also a seal with some sort of symbol on it.

Probably Ekruteak. Captures Johto and its peaceful, traditional nature perfectly. And it's close to some of my other favorite areas. Getting to Goldenrod, the Park, or Olivine is an easy trip.

This. Even if Johto feels empty gameplay wise it was a nice designed region and comfy as fuck, I remember when I was 8 years old playing with my GBC and telling my parents I wanted to live there. Olivine and Ekruteak are my favorites, and they are near.
