In hindsight, I wish I'd recorded the game. I forget exactly what it was, I think I'd gotten some unlucky spins earlier on. He ended up turtling on his back line, so I started arranging things carefully while he was trying to stall me into losing, and he ended up being forced to allow the Salamence to be surrounded, which threw him off.

Some parts seem to suggest so.
For example, NPCs that never change dialogue. The worst offender is Hapu's mom. Go talk to her post-game and see what I mean.
Relatedly, what is up with Po Town? It kind of gets frozen in time. I thought it might be interesting to visit after Team skull disbanded. But it's still exactly the same.
Otherwise, most of the game looks pretty polished.

TOTT: I guess such a thing could happen, but I can't imagine it happening too commonly, because some Pokemon are just naturally better at different tasks. That's why it's always Chansey, Blissey, Audino, Comfey, and the like working with nurses. Only in extreme circumstances would people let a Pokemon take a job it's inherently unsuited for.
It would be a good idea for a story, though, to imagine how the Pokemon would handle it.
And speaking of nurses and Garchomps, isn't "Garchomp acts as assistant for Nurse Joy" a prompt in the ideabin? I know I've seen it before.
