Often gimmicky, but their ability to nuke something as long as it's not immune to it is useful in some situations and mons. Particularly useful is that it ignores accuracy checks, so something could run, say, Z-Focus Blast and use said Z-Move to OHKO 100% of the time a particular check, or something. I think Heatran used Bloom Doom like this for a while.
Z-Status moves are also fairly useful. Z-Mist on Fini gives it a one-off heal, which is very helpful.

Does anyone actually have any evidence to the credibility of Australia/New Zealand being the next game region? All I can think of is how Komala suspiciously does not evolve, and how they did not release a dolphin pokémon, when Hawaii would be the second-best place to do so behind Australia.
