It's because we actually have 3 good starters this time and there's not a "clear superior one". This means people grew really attached to them and want to defend them at every occasion, sometimes even by attacking one of the other 2. And then there's the people who hate all 3 of them and always join the conversation to express their hate for them, of course.
Honestly we should just be happy we have a fantastic set this time.

New at this game , just got a d/s still on first island with all my mons over 20, trying to catch this fucker..
