It's been ages since I last saw a Nuzlocke thread on here, and with my semester being almost over, I thought I'd start one up again.
I don't have any of the files that used to be perpetually in the first post, so I'll collect/remake everything I can; I really want to make the Nuzlocke threads a thing again, I really love getting to read how everyone else is doing.
I just started doing a randomized FireRed run, it's super lame that I'm starting with an actual starter, but the other two options were baby Pokemon, and I'd prefer to be able to play.

I've only done a regular run through of Black once,but I wouldn't suggest a Nuzlocke of it unless you've done a couple before. Looking at maps n shit, unless I missed something, you'll only have 3 Pokemon for the first gym battle.
For me, having a variety is the fun part, but if you can deal with that, go for it.

Pokémon Clover is a QUALITY romhack featuring a brand new region called Fochun, as well as 386 fresh new fakemons that puts Quartz to shame! Clover has been an ongoing project for a team comprised together from anonymous posters on the /vp/ board. I'm a bit of an optimist at heart and it influences how my characters turn out, sometimes.
Also, top choice on thread image. Recently got a shiny one and damn is it great. Cleared 80 tree wins with it Tentacruel and Sableye. liligant is surprisingly hard hitting with petal dance.

Generally speaking I'd say the editing process is most challenging. There's always a couple of errors that will go unnoticed even after careful review and that causes an insecurity for a perfectionist.
What's tough about writing for Pokemon is the tremendous variety available to work with. The lore, all types of moves, and of course the Pokemon themselves. It's similar going to a buffet and not having enough room for everything on your plate. Some of it has to be skipped or saved for another story. Staying focused on a particular individual or species while maintaining a diverse world is a balancing act to master.

No, Smogon just puts the types of mons in willy-nilly. It kind of bugs me to be honest. The order of the types is relatively important, imo. (It's actually important for certain moves if I remember correctly, I don't remember what.)
