The thing with super deformed graphics is that it looks good in low resolution, you can see the face better among others things, realistic proportions in small resolution looks a bit more cluttered, but imo it's not a problem for me, I really like the direction that Sun/Moon took, the routes finally have a complex layout instead of trying to mimic the 2D games with ""minecraft style"", with better hardware it will look even better in the future.

These games were appraised nonstop, then after a month everyone hated them. Same with every mainline Pokemon release.

Before the games came out, there really wasn't that much hype--people fucking hated the Kyurem formes and we didn't know all the awesome shit the game had in it yet
