One acceptable one is the owl but only if you decide to not evolve it further. For Mareanie I don't give a fuck, personally think Toxapex is ugly as fuck but its at least viable.

Difference here is that Venusaur is based on a ugly animal, you can't fuck it up much. Boars should look intimidating but Emboar looks like a fucking obese piece of garbage and Incineroar is a fucking furfag instead of a majestic/badass tiger that will tear your little wimpy owl/seal ass to shreds. If they made those a boar/tiger with a bunch of fire they would've been 100x better than they are now. Decidushit would've been irrelevant if Litten became a badass tiger but alas, had to pick the nerd owl because Incineroar is too hard to look at.

What's a mon that you forgot exists or is painfully average?
Mine's Dewgong, just for being overshadowed by Lapras and Cloyster in the type and popularity departments (and the atrociously simple name), but not being terribly bad.

Sandslash. And i'm saying this as a Sandslash fan who likes both forms. It's very simple and also loses the brick/iglo pattern of its pre-evo. The fact that it and Alolan Sandslash are not that bad when under weather but not that good either doesn't really help. Just sad that just like real pangolins it is stuck in mediocrity in terms of being remembered. Hopefully Ash gets Alolan Sandslash, maybe then it can be redeemed and remembered with some marketing.

The most common things I see here recently (for the last year) are:

Why are you all in denial? In Gen 6 you had a good excuse, since gen 5 was amazing, but let's face it, gen 6, and so far gen 7, have been terrible. Do you really think the switch games/gen 8 will be any better? I mean, the switch to Models from Sprites played some role, I'm sure, but GameFreak has just lost it. Mark my words, 2 months away, and USUM are gonna be just as bad, if not worst. And as for the Switch? Sprites to 3D Models was pretty bad, do you think from the 3DS resolution to "4k HD" is gonna be any better?
