I've just now noticed this sticky. Putting it and your comments together seems like, yeah, original content doesn't really have a place on /d/.
And given its rules driven superior Nihon nature it's really only a show and tell board about what you find elsewhere. With the tell part being discouraged.

I doubt the mods or even janitors bother to poke around /vip/.

I've never understood the ban on furry content but I'm going to assume that has something to do with events that took place during the mid-2000s, sort of like how after 2010 hit pony content was banned due to the constant pony spam.

They took my fucking /cyoa/ thread and now we have to merge with the tripfags at /tg/ and i want to kill myself.

/d/ mod is cancer, this is just the first step.

The ban on furry was more due to the community that followed it. by the time that 4chan had rules and real mods, furries were already a known quantity, their drama they bring was not worth the very few good artists they had (especially back then) and they would only really drag the quality down

The ban on pony was less of a community they were, and more of the sperg out of everyone who hated pony shit. even now, as bad as some of the people who like ponies are, they don't attract the same crowd, and many online actively despise the depths that furries went to and shun that shit from the norm for pony.

Lets put it this way, at a furry convention, you will find open sex, people wearing daipers and only that, and shit just on the ground, actual shit, not a colloquial for stuff, depending on the people who show up there is a chance for used diapers to be everywhere too.

a pony convention is mostly just met with cringe because they don't have 'be the animal you always wanted to be' as their main focus, they have a guideline that is loosely followed, and a model to look at (the tv show) where as furries look at real life animals, the porn and fetishes, to base their behavior off of.

On /d/ right now there are

21 threads headed by images that are clearly western
another 21 threads that are not /d/ content at all, but were likely bitched off their boards till they went to /d/
8 threads that are either headed by low quality content, or generally bring in shit content as that's what most of the 'fetishes' content is.

oh wait, I forgot that I filtered a number of threads, for a moment I thought mods did something due to the meta threads, lets re run these

33 threads headed by western images,
24 threads with just not /d/ content
25 threads are either headed by, or in the case of inflation, hyper muscle, hyper pregnancy, gas, diaper, just have such low quality content in them that it's something that should be barred
3 threads that should be on /y/ instead of /d/

now let's talk about vore, went through the top most one, and it hat 8 images that are just gore, not explicit mind you but still gore, 2 of those images being explicit. now, a good question here is with a majority of vore ending in gore, why is it allowed at all?

caption threads, cyoa threads, wyr threads, there were really only one at a time, 2 for the short while it took for a full thread to 404 but /d/ is swimming in low quality, non /d/ and western threads
