I dusted for you guys, some gratitude would be nice.
Also one picture convinced me I need a bigger power bar and some zip ties for cable management.
>>
>>62529
You need a dedicated media tower for all your shit, anon.

Maybe mount the TV on the wall and get something of a decent size for underneath, glass doors, for your systems, media players, input switch, controls, and what have you. Then matching, tall (and slim) shelving on either side.

It's way too cluttered right now.
>>
>>62536
It was fine until the WiiU showed up.
>slim shelving
Forget that noise. I got too much stuff for that.
I'm trying to find the right thing to prop the back layer of cases up so it looks less garbagey.

Sorry, I meant "slim" in terms of depth. Something deep enough for one row of stuff, but wide enough so everything fits.

Unless you don't have the space, in which case maybe those older opening cabinets (with shelves in the door) would be a good idea?

As you can see my set up fits pretty snugly between to two doors. So I like having the deeper shelves
>>

>window ac unit
I'm in a small apartment, and it's cheaper to run than a floor AC.

>boarded up window
The AC is meant for top-down windows, but mine are side-opening, so I needed to close up the window somehow.

>bulky CRT television set
Hey, it was free.

Free TV.

VHS is the king of physical media, bite me.

Oh lawd, it's worse than I imagined.

Nah, just fucking with you pham. I still have my VHS tapes...somewhere. I think out in my garage. Hopefully they haven't melted from the summer heat after all these years.
>>
>>62590
They're probably fine. The only time I've had physical media literally melt it was a CD.

That thing's going to fall over.
>>
>>64072
It's a lot sturdier than it looks. I've bumped into it before and it hasn't even wobbled.

Whatever floats your boat, anon. Just know that it's entirely your fault when it's lying on the floor in pieces, instead of sitting completely steadily on the dresser itself.
>>
>>64078
Can you not read? I've bumped into it and it hasn't moved, let alone shifted out of its position, let alone come even remotely close to falling.

Breezes go through my room all day long, there's a fucking wind storm out now and it's not moving. The thing is rock god damn solid.

>"Even though it's balanced on a pile of rickety garbage, it hasn't fallen yet!"

Pottery.
>>
>>64080
It's not rickety at all, I've already explained this to you. Are you slow?
>>
>>64081
>Are you slow?
No, but I think you might be.
>>
>>64082
>No
Lmao. My god you're retarded.

Short of 200lbs of weight falling into this TV, it's not moving. And that would knock it over no matter what the fuck it was standing on.
>>
>>64083
>place TV directly onto media stand (as intended)
>attach TV to the wall with the (likely) included cable
>basic cable management
>TV is secure

>place a box on top of media stand
>then place a piece of plywood on top of that
>balance the TV on top of that
>don't attach it to anything in any way
>leave wires all over the place
>put it next to your bed (on the floor)
>and put a pile of crap in front of it for safe measure
>not secure

I think you're the retarded one, anon.
>>
>>64084
I've explained to you over and over that it's sturdier than it looks, but you keep going with the "It looks unsturdy" argument.

You aren't here, so you can't tell how sturdy it is. I am here, so I CAN tell how sturdy it is.

Yes, it looks unsturdy. But it isn't actually unsturdy. I mean, this isn't that complicated. I can push it with more force than any gust of wind and it doesn't shift whatsoever. Short of something extremely heavy falling into the TV, it isn't moving.

Do you read? Can you understand this?
>>
>>64076
>And what happens when a slight breeze goes behind it?
the same thing that happened when he bumped into it. why would a slight breeze create more force than the weight of human momentum?

it's not an ideal setup but god damn, scooter. you're really reaching here
>>
>>64086
It's literally just a makeshift stand. The particle board is drilled to the green part, not balancing on it. Nothing that couldn't push the TV off a normal table would be able to push it off the particle board. It's as sturdy as the stand on the right in this pic: >>62665, it just looks really weird.

I'll pick up a real stand whenever I have the means. This was a cheap and easy substitute.
>>
>>62670
