I've played it a little bit. It's worth playing if you want more Stalker but it's an unnecessary prequel that shares a lot of its maps with the first game and is is pretty buggy even for a Stalker game and has that faction wars thing, which is a good idea on paper (and works fine in Call of Chernobyl's free roam) but it's kind of tedious in practice in CS.
>>44549
I played it before they patched achievements in. By that time I wasn't really interested on the game anymore.

I prefer it over 1 mostly becuse of how clunky and blank 1 is. Sure the levels dont really connect very well but overall most of the areas were way better than the first, the combat was smoother and the DLC was a++. My only real complaint is they had too many filler bosses in the main game.
My personal preference is 3>2>1. I started playing 1 on 360 before it ever came to pc. Its a great game it just feels really unpolished , rushed and clunky

I have more time clocked since i played it on GFWL before it went to steam. And no, i hate SFV for its gameplay more than for its fuckups at launch. Endless Legend and Grim Dawn are great games that I like very much
I still haven't gotten around to PoE, I should probably play that
>>54630
It's a pretty fun game, the combat system is probably one of the best in the entire series and it's pleasantly lighthearted.
It's also incredibly stupid and shits all over the tone of the original game. I mostly consider FFX as the true experience and this sequel as an alternate universe. The plot is fanfiction tier.
I'd say go for it. You'll find out pretty fast if it's not your thing.

Not nearly enough to make me come back. The neutral is a clusterfuck of randomness that almost makes me puke. There is a huge lack of defensive options, normals are fucking shit for most characters, jump ins encouraged by shitty recovery and AA propieties on normals, V-skills and triggers not nearly interesting enough. Those are just a few of the things i hate about V in the gameplay department. On other things, the online was and still is shit if you dont live in the states, the interface looks like it belongs to an app more than a fighting game, jewery out the ass and a shitty unlock system for alternative colors.
Worst of all i find it fucking boring to watch too. I used to watch like 2 streams at the same time when SFIV was hot but now i stopped watching everything related to SFV just because it bores me to dead. At least we have marvel infinite sometime at the end of this year.
>>57360

>>56789 (1/2)
>I'm probably going to full autism and not trade with anyone for my first go
Might not be a wise choice for some builds. Some of them really depend on specific uniques. GGG recently added an official solo-selffound mode which you can opt out of at any point with no repercussions sans dropping out of SSF ladder.
>I was told I should play some sort of elemental build, is that a good idea?
Not sure about elemetal builds, but PoE builds are more about choosing one main active skill and to build your character around it. Anyways, here are some tips:
1) Do not neglect the survivability talents. PoE is a game of extremums where the incoming damage is either something you shoulder off or which kills you in a blink of an eye. Damage comes primarily from items and survivability from passive talents you get for level ups. Stack on HP if you're HP character. Stack on HP too even if you're an Energy Shield character, switch to full ES only once you get good ES gear. If you're a dodge-evasion type of guy get Acrobatics talent ASAP.
This might sound like gibberish to you at first but you'll get the hang of it real fast.
2) I've found that 1H+Shield Gladiator is one of the safest build archetypes. That nigga gets around 80% shield block for both physical attacks AND spells. The only thing that counters it are damage over time effects and persistent aoe zones. That shit melts him throught since dots cannot be blocked obviously. But anything else is almost of no threat to you.
3) It doesn't rely on any specific items (though there are some that boost even further) and works with any 1H skill of your choice. I've found Lacerate and Blade Flurry being the best.
Godspeed! If you have any more PoE questions I can give some out of 4chan contact if you need.
>>37612
>Top played games on steam?
>>56789 (2/2)
4) I recommend to wait until summer when a huge 3.0.0 patch drops where the make a bunch of tedious shit redundant most notably the necessity of clearing the storyline 3 times on different difficulties to get to endgame. Instead it's going to be a single playthrough of 10 acts. They'll also add a new mechanic that helps you counter some of oneshotting bullshit.
This didn't fit in the previous post for some reason
