For the Anon in the previous thread; have best robot while I get started on leveling.
alright ill do that, have to reinstall my PSO2 since the client started randomly freezing after i started playing again today, and i got no idea what is wrong with it, it used to work perfectly.
I had an Io roleplayer in my challenge mode group last week. I should have asked her to marry me.
I'm making a new character, what class should they be? What's the most overpowered one?
Thank you very much op
Here have some fun http://pso2.jp/es/players/special/icon/
So I've just passed around 4 hours trying to research builds. I want to play bouncer, mainly jet boots with good techs also, which led me to make this build:
I'd appreciate any kind of feedback, having seen people claiming the idea itself is useless or that fighter goes better with bouncer, etc. I've also seen Te/Bo builds but I'm not interested in support.
Sorry if I missed info about that in the OP, I hope not.
You can change class at any time.
Race is the only permanent thing that affects your stats.
Newearl for maximum magic.
Dewman Female/Caseal for maximum ranged.
Dewman Male for maximum melee.
In the long run this doesn't even matter that much, except for Casts and magic. They just don't mix well.
True. Pink is where it's at.
this image from a hentai artist who plays PSO2 should sum it all up.
Her adventures in PSO2 remind me of me while playing.
Best JB build for what you're asking would be FI/BO with either Elemental Stance potential extended boots, Bio Boots or Zirenheit.
Unfortunately, FO doesn't match as well as it sounds with BO, you'll be severely lacking in PA damage as well as in tech damage compared to other combinations.
No matter how you look at it (main or sub) FI really is the best for hybrid play for a myriad of reasons, all related to how most modifiers it provides affect both striking and tech damage.
TE can only works on special snowflake one-trick-pony builds, not really advisable if you're not willing to invest AC in extra trees and meseta in equipment.
No clue, she posts them on her twitter or Pixiv account every now and then.
T-ATK all the way, everywhere, unless you get one of them Ares then go S-ATK instead, but that being the case forget about techs.
I mean, you can go full T-ATK as a BO/HU with Ares, but HU tree gives so much S-ATK that you might as well get advantage of it.
I'm sorry to ask again, but what are the three things I have to do to not get banned for using the English patch? I know one is on open scratch tickets in my locked room, but what are the other two?
Not sure what you mean about Ares but I kinda want my techs so I'll go with T-ATK.
This build is what I'm leaning towards right now, the rest of the bouncer points would go in craft mastery or more S-ATK depending if I use craft or not.
I hope it's ok.
Thank you for your replies as I was on the verge of going bald. I just want to to dance in mid air and look awesome.
Switch Strike (The skill that scales Jet Boots damage to S-ATK) is mainclass only, being FI/BO will not let you use that, and therefore the points in Rare mastery FI and Crazy Beat should be placed somewhere else, unless you want to use those with Dual Blades.
Consider placing points in Field Remain and Craft Mastery.
Highest level crafted weapons with Mastery is equivalent in power to high-end 11* and some 12*s, and as a FI/BO you will not have trouble with damage variance as most of your attacks will inflict criticals.
I'd rather pick Chase Advance, it's a huge boost to both PA and techs (especially PA) that becomes really noticeable on higher difficulties with enemies with huge HP pools.
Drop Crazy Beat and Rare Mastery, S-ATK does nothing for you, that 1pt in Crazy Heart is cool, but also optional.
Last five points either pump one of the *line Slayers (Dead preferably) or Halfline Boost to help you with CA/CA+.
On the BO side I'd drop the PP regen field, you're more than okay with the Deband +pp skill. Also >>97922745 is spot on Switch Strike and Field Remain.
I'd get Tech Up, and with the remaining points either Craft Mastery if you're using extended boots, or one box of break to help you with breakables with no weaknesses if you're using a FI boots like Bio or Zirenheit.
Two points left I think, I'd boost step adv a little, it really helps on making your dodge more lenient.
English patch covers a lot of the basics. I don't know any japanese but it provides enough for you to play (that doesn't mean you shouldn't take on learning Japanese).
The game is pretty simple to get your gear sorted and what build you should do. Race and gender don't matter much except very, very minor stat changes so go with what you think is best for you.
Also, don't hesitate to ask for advice, both in the thread and in-game
Public chat is fine but try not to be an annoying person. There is party chat, team chat (AKA guild chat) and whisper (messaging the one person) as well.
Ship 2 has the largest English speaking community, which is also a bad thing since a lot of bad players are on that ship (but every ship has bad players so you can pretty much ignore that. Just get good at boss killing, blocking and dodging with the appropriate gear).
This is too fucking true.
Fair warning if a jap is feeling particularly pissed at foreign players they can and probably will report you which is about a 50% chance of getting banned. JUST from speaking in public chat.
This is what I made of it all.
In terms of bonus PP Slayer is better than Halfline Slayer, but I wonder how it works out in game, maybe Halfline is better because more consistent.
Points in craft mastery could go into Break stance if I disregard craft.
Of course some details still aren't clear for me since I've yet to play it all, maybe that's part of why the more I tried to research the more confusing it got.
I'll go to sleep for now, thanks again for your insight.
machine translation are different from the one that can fluently speak japanese.
If you didn't aware, google translate will produce lots of error and broken language you can't even use it for simple communication most of time.
I can understand what it says from Japanese to English, why would it be different? Or, I could use Bing translate, since I've proven that that is way better with every language I've tried?
this comic is the story of my life, except with anga instead of diabo. and I don't want to see either of the motherfuckers. I just want a goddamn chainsawd, and having those two cocksuckers keep being the first fucking things I see whenever I go into UQ and inflating my point count is making it an utter fucking hell trying to get one.
and as insult to injury, every motherfucking time I spawn into a populated lobby or go into a room to commission drop boost things, there's always at least one person running around with a chainsawd. it's like in spite of the drop numbers they're super common for everyone who isn't me. reminds me of how I finally had my first elysion drop, three years into the fucking game. what the shit, RNG.
>using a 2 colored version then making it the same color anyway
What kind of retard would do that?
My point is, I want the color on 2 to be on 1 but I'll never get it because sakai is dumb and I'll always get the faded version on color1
>My point is, I want the color on 2 to be on 1 but I'll never get it because sakai is dumb and I'll always get the faded version on color1
what is stopping you from doing that?
>testing out combinations
>find a great color on 2
>"wow, I want that to be my main color"
>spend an entire hour trying to match it
>it never does
>do a test
>this is the result
Sakai doesnt do hairs because he doesnt have one
You're a god damn idiot, that's called shadows and shaders. It changes with the lighting. It's like that even on the regular Rozen. Turn your god damn character and see the difference. It's like this is the first game you ever played that had lighting lighting.
And you're trying to call Sakai dumb.
Wish his dewmen had bigger tits though.
old screen shot but, support partner posing when?
PP Slayer is great, you're under 50% PP most of the time, and with boots I find it really easy maintaining yourself like that while also having enough PP for PA/techs thanks to normal attack weapon action.
Both deadline and halfline will kick in after you toggle Limit Break, so might as well pick the one with the biggest bonus.
That's pretty much how my tree will look next time I reset, only difference with my current one is not maxing Deadline and picking 1pt in Crazy Heart and max Halfline Boost because I though it would help with CA/CA+ (it didn't, 1pt might be cool though). Ah yeah, and also I picked Break Stance because Bio/Zirenheit.
I see that it's already well established that this person is retarded but I thought I'd give an angle that's not retarded
>Inb4 the colors are clearly different
When I'm that guy that comes around to revive you and the others for having just that 30 extra HP, you'll thank me. Or maybe you won't and you just expect people to revive you when you're dead. But at least I'm that one lone guy who's there once in a while.
I'm not the best, so I can't FI reliably.
I can show you the world with HU guarding, and BR parry. Pretty much the only thing that ever hits me is Loser's bullshit because I haven't done it much, mainly because you can't guard that but at least katana finisher lets me survive through the time stop when the party can't even kill one sword.
move aside wench you will not tempt the pure hear of a warrior!
oh look! now I can add "foot ventriloquist" to my resume of Jester things I do!
no you get hit by the move atleast once or twice that you get the feeling/timing to hit parry/guard.
but it generally requires you get hit to get the timming. some have big wind-up that you can tell when you should hit counter.
You're in a challenge mission and this cast slaps you're waifu on the ass, what do you do little man?
he's slapping this ass? my waifu's ass? he about to catch a chokeslam so hard it disassembles each of his parts!
>Having a waifu
I have bitches. Nobody here is worth marrying unless you are a shut in.
I simply charge him by the hour.
*teleports behind him*
*whispers into him electric ear*
"pshh nothing personel kid"
*slashes him into microchips*
WHAT'S THAT YOU SAY
I CANNOT REST UNTIL I THWART YOU AND THEN RUN AWAY BEFORE YOUR REBUTTAL
>try challenge mode for the first time
>attempt to solo it
>don't die once but run out of time near the end of mission 3
>join a group of 12 people
>only one death
>run out of time just before hitting mission 5
Christ, is there some kind of secret to this? Nobody seemed like an especially bad player. We just couldn't seem to deal enough damage fast enough.
>is there some kind of secret to this?
dying supposedly decreases the timer, so even if you're perfect and never dying if some shitter is constantly dying it makes the run shorter.
That's the thing though, only one person died that I saw. It just felt like everything had a ton of HP. I was doing my best to land big strings of weakpoint shots, but once we got into 4, everything just started taking forever to kill and there were barely any energy drops. Is there like an optimal spread of weapons everyone should be using or something?
I wasn't monitoring what everyone was doing super closely, but I'm fairly certain that nobody ever overfilled the bar. I'm thinking that maybe we missed a 30% or something, or that maybe a bunch of people died without me seeing. Does weapon choice basically not matter?
Well wands do a good job in 3, 4, and the left side of 5. Right side of 5 is generally melee heavy. If you get some decent katana users over there you can really burn through cougar.
I feel like it doesn't matter that much in 1-5 though.
2 kenei+9 users with gekka who have launchers with cluster and a vinc set can pretty much wipe out left on their own. Most people hoard shit and dont share the good stuff though unless you specifically ask for it.
No idea. bad groups dont drop good things if they think they might eventually have a use for it, good groups do because they already know their gameplan. I've only ever seen had group have a person drop a flame unit to let someone else complete a set (and it was me who dropped it). That group failed at m7 though because it went hunar route, which usually results in leaving area 6 with less VR than you started with compared to going left with a good funjiguy.
The only weapon I got with any PAs for it was a wand with foie, and trying to solo your way through fuckloads of overlapping enemies with shields using that is misery. I basically had no time left when I got to the intermission. 3 was a foregone conclusion.
>farm gunne nonstop for the whole day
>only need leg units
>arm, rear, arm, rear
>friends who helped out got two sets from it
Pls, RNG. Throw me a bone will ya?
It feels like we, the male massterace have been getting nothing but shitty costumes just for the sake of getting a really great one.
That's not even from fucking pso2
Okay. Apos wasn't so bad. He's still the same as SH apos. HOWEVER, Loser apparently has some new dirty tricks up his sleeve. Stupid surprise time-stop. ;_;
I fucking hate when people isn't ready for VH Loser and goes get carried at SH Loser.
Forgot to set it so it didn't have all the shit, but whatever.
Someone sure had shit luck in scratch
There's stuff I could use, thanks anyways
>Calling it the retarded name it has instead of what it obviously is
>No side pony hairstyles that are on the right side
Life is suffering.
>maining a FI weapon
>not just using the best one when the opportunity arises
>in XH at that
I worry when I see other Fi mains because I know I'm just going to be mooning them.
pioni can be equipped by fo/te without crafting shenanigans and you can actually use stuff like razonde with it which makes it the superior choice unless the attack difference means everything to you
I was seriously asking.
Also, 75% of enemies in game?
Naberius, insect darkers, some oceanids in coast, Anushi Zagries in Harukotan.
Am I missing something? That's not even 50% of the enemies.
Naberius forest/tundra enemies, coast and some harukotan enemies, and all insect darkers (notably TD ones - enough for people to spec fire due to it's overall usefulness in TD)
75% may be a slight exaggeration if compared to all enemies in game, but it's definitely around 75% of what you'd run into from EQs, TAs, and dailies.
Really late response, but that's not bad at all. In fact, I really like her; by ludicrous hips, I meant huge hips upon a character that was small otherwise. It looks inhuman, but yours looks great.
Would you be interested in joining? I've picked up quite a few more members, and they're not so bad themselves.
So I actually had someone drop me the unit I needed to complete a flame set, though admittedly it took until the third interval for someone to drop it (since blitz sets). An improvement I guess, at least. Got to m9 on that run too.
Why would you even play cast if not for cast parts?
She may be on the small side, but those are hips of no dude I've ever seen.
Cute bum. You weren't interested in joining, were you?
I dunno, I like pale for the nice contrast it gives against a lot of outfits. Looks great on dark colors. I like your tone a lot too, though.
The fact that there are hardly any racial differences in stat means it'll probably never happen.
But what if everyone could use SUV weapons though?
Better yet, what if AIS could be summoned by filling up a PB-like gauge and last for, say, 30 seconds? What if
you could finally customized your own AIS?
No, I don't like advocating screwing over the userbase with retarded restrictions without giving anything in return.
Making race actually matter this late in the game is a fucking terrible idea. Equipment that nullifies race disadvantages, sure, but making it any bigger than that is crazy.
Imagine being whatever class you've been since the game started, and then you're forced to switch because you can't keep up with endgame content now that you can't equip whatever the now-relevant race-exclusive weapon/unit set is.
Use Sneak Shooter intermittently at the weak points.
30K per shot is nothing to laugh at, but yeah the only reason anybody plays ranger is for weak bullet.
Diffuse to knockdown trash mobs. One-Point or Piercing for bosses where you can't be holding perfectly still for sneak shooter.
You're not completely fucking useless damage-wise.
Rifle has many tools to use against mobs, but frankly, you might be better off using a launcher everywhere and switch to rifle on big meaty stuff.
WB then Sat. Cannon, Impact Slider and (requires some technique) Homing Emission are all great for that, especially the first.
It up to what you gonna do for mobbing launcher is hand down better than rifle.
But for pin point damage like bossing Rifle is better.
Ranger is about when and where to attack because clunky nature of the class.
Only if you don't know how to play a ranger. Most of you new rangers don't even know how to use Homing Emission like the olden days.
Use Piercing because it can do 2x damage, and faster and with more control than sneak shooter. If you do 30K to a weakspot of a very large target such as falz arm or even vibras, if the angle is right it will register another 30K for a total of 60K per hit.
Using homing emission to target all the target points and then focusing it on the WB spot or chain finish of a weak point also does insanely high damage. (VERY USEFUL IN CMODE).
One point if you use manual aim to hit weak points is a very good way to stay mobile but do decent damage.
Ideally you want very high PP to be effective.
Rifle RA is hard to shine with unless you really are consistent and have a good setup of gear for the PA's you use. Using Launcher in between is also a great way to keep your WB's while your PP charges but still deliver decent damage. There are rangers who can take the 1st place spot in XH TD's but they are very consistent in their ability to hit weak points and keep going from target to target.
So I'm trying to get the lewd mod to work, but which of these two folders am I supposed to unzip? And if both, in what sequence, since some files seem to overwrite others.
Rifle is fine for mobbing certain enemies. For example, if there's a stragler El Ahda, you'll want to use a rifle rather than launcher. Diffuse is great against Wonda butts. Impact slider is great for dealing damage and traveling forward. It's primarily a boss weapon though, and weak bullet aside, it still does top tier damage with Sat cannon or double hit Piercing Shot. Well, by top tier I mean in comparison to everything besides GU/BR and similar chain shenanigans.
Use Upper Trap and grenades to regen PP. Only in exceptionally rare cases is launcher useful against bosses.
No. But your mag is enough to restart if you don't want to spend 3 USD to get another one. Or make a new character, which you get two of for free. And getting to level 20 can be done in an hour or so if you really want to. Just beware that you can't recreate your character for 24 hours until they are finally deleted.
Casts get really shafted in T-ATK growth. Any other race isn't that big of a deal though.
TE/HU or BO/HU is still a solid choice if you don't mind playing a "magic" class by hitting things with your stick/boots.
it's not so much that I'm new to ranger as much I've never been able to figure out the trick to making ranger effective outside WB abuse, n' since WB has a cooldown it's not something I'd want to rely on outside boss rooms.
I primrarily do the bow ra/br thing, but I keep getting this crazy idea of attempting to actually use my ranger weapons... but it seems like every time I do, unless I'm overleveled for a given quest they just don't perform well... like. before sat cannon, only sneak shooter ever seemed to do any real damage... presuming I didn't miss due to things moving. even with the rebalancing of PAs most stuff seems to hit really underwhelming numbers with rifles.
And by shitposting, I mean post affix week progresses, dinguses.
so much changed from his first design and giving too much of a shit what people thought that now he looks like a used up whore desperately seeking attention. so many changes and I assume you'll see more changes soon so don't get too comfortable with this new design.
Not even close.
BEHOLD ALL THE WASTED MESETA
>15 minute cooldown for a 15 second moon atomizer skill
When will Reverser Field not be garbage?
>4s with boost
>60 atk hybrid units
Wasted meseta indeed
I died to Ex, Ragne, and Scythers in AQs today.
>Also this is 2015
>Everyone has at least 2 monitors
Not everyone has the life set on very easy mode
I doubt I could help cause I never personally tried it myself, but from my understanding there are multiple ways.
They're not terrible, just not interesting, or as good as your regular PAs.
Additional Bullet is a good replacement for rangers, unfortunately it breaks the Bullet Keep skill for weak bullet. If they fixed that then fuck yeah.
It was probably low damage
I've been in MPs where nobody died because everyone was using some form of ranged attack but we kept failing m5(and sometimes even m4) because the majority was using rifles
Parrot class when?
I want parroting to be viable.
Not to be "that guy" but I didn't even know about the steam mode option until much later. Probably just one of those "works for some, not for others" kind of things
