AFAIK Rise lines don't actually carry over to playthroughs. It took me 4 playthroughs to get it, which convinced me that it's not carried over to NG+ at all.

The space between the beginning up to after you beat Chie's shadow will feel like a chore, but the game also has a fast forward button you can use on scenes you've already seen.

Hardcore Risette Fan is the only one im missing after 2 playthroughs.
Rise is my waifu forever and always, and this will always be my biggest shame.

I just cant bring myself to playthrough again, without the NG+, without doing her slink, and without using my usual team of Chie, Yukiko, and Naoto.
If you raise her slink too high her initial lines when entering battle will get halved, and if you dont somehow suck at P4 you'll miss a ton of status effect lines, among others.
and of course the rotating party member stuff.

Im sure she isnt mad though. just disappointed

I just got P4G, and from looking around online, apparently there are specific answers you can give on specific dates for social link and raising your skill ranks and whatever.

Does it make a big difference if you bother with all this on a first playthrough? Because I don't really want to use a walkthrough, but I like playing rpg's optimally, and don't want to complete the game with shitty characters because I ignored all the above.

It just saves a bit of time making the rank advance faster. P4 is not on a crazy agenda like P3 so you can goof around a little and still finish the links without problems. Never played golden but if i remember correctly it add even more days and opportunities of gaining more SL points

It barely matters.

Just do the links when you want, and who you want.
Make sure to max at least a couple of them, because then you can fuse some stronger stuff near the end game.

Golden is super forgiving, even more than vanilla. Following a guide first time through will take out what little magic is left.

The only thing I liked about the golden animation was Marie's all out attack cut in with everyone else during the quiz show. The xmas episode was funny but dumb. Sense when is Naoto that retarded?

One thing that i hate about P4 is the Margaret shit.
In P3Fes when i completed the game it was very easy to do the NG+/get all personas that i wanted and fight Elizabeth.In P4 you come back to be level 1 again in the NG+ and has to complete the entire game again to fight margaret,i really wanted to fight her but i'll not play the entire game again.

The persona 3 protagonist is kinda shitty in the movies. In movie 2 he completely stops fighting a shadow just because he thinks that without the dark hour he's worthless and he'll be back to being the loner again. This causes the fight to drag on which causes the rest of the party to be too late to go to Shinji and Ken before Takaya shoots Shinji and kills him and from what it looks like in movie 3 he tries to take on the final shadow by himself because SEES won't talk to him nor to each other because of Mitsuru's depression at her dad's death. Even if Yu was scared of being alone after the case was solved with Mitsuo at least he didn't give up during the fight and cause someone to die as a result. Makato's a shit.
