>PersonaQ: P3 side chapter one, NEEDS to be added to pastebin.
The hype's died down a little so maybe
It's also a little early in the morning for burgers to be up and posting
Nah, that clover obviously means she's got the luck of the Irish.
as a broad consensus?
Jojo is seen as shitty anime trash liked by meming fucktards and only marginally better than Bleach.
Persona is seen as badly written waifushit for edgy manchildren that wish they had a social life during highschool.
Just a broad view, of course, generally going off what happens whenever either is brought up outside of their threads.
all the party members shown so far look supporting characters at best while wearing their civilian clothing. It's kinda the point when you're leading a double life. Create as much contrast between the two persona as you can so that people have a hard time even conceiving of a connection between the two.
Will P5 have Anzu shower scene? I want Anzu shower scene.
For now the game isn't interesting at all. I'm waiting for something cool, if it's just a shittier P4 I'm definitely not going to buy it.
Also the whole "stylized" look is getting really desperate and obnoxious. "hey guys look how le random the colors are, look how wacky and le quirky the game is XD"
It's getting stale. Also they made the girl a catgirl, the MOST generic shit of all time
I hope so. I miss when only half the thread was blatant shitposting.
No shenanigans, just slips on a bar of soap, hits his head, and spends four hours in a coma. From then on he has to make a few appointments with a neurologist because that is super bad for you.
>the whole "stylized" look is getting really desperate and obnoxious.
what are you, an american-realist? Get some Art Nouveau and Fauvism in you
I'm just saying it's getting really old, and if they want the game to look good don't do it with the overused random stylized shit, do it with good art direction. Make the menus as fancy as you like, but generic catgirls and boring bishounens are not creative at all
>don't do it with the overused random stylized shit
Fuck you, it's the only redeeming part of Persona 3/4 and you have shit opinions.
NAME ME FIVE GAMES WITH FANTASTIC MENUS
She's literally the drugstore lady, of course she's bland you idiot.
Not for you though
, just me.
Seriously, take away the fancy menus and the silhouette ipod commercials and you have a bland game with no creativity at all. The characters look like NPCs and it's always the most cliche friendship shit.
It's no better than Naruto
>and you have a bland game with no creativity
You say about a game, modeling itself on the gentleman thief genre which, to my knowledge, has not been overused in gaming. A game which is also not released yet and we know very little about otherwise.
Anon, have you forgotten to take your medications this morning?
Everything in Persona is overused. There's no innovation or anything unique in Persona. It's all been done to death and have been done better.
When your enemies are literally black blobs called "shadows" you know they have ZERO creativity. And despite the fancy visuals, they can't hide the fact that it's cliche anime bullshit that is even less interesting than Naruto. It's just friendship and romance except the protag is a Mary Sue and everyone else is in his harem (which makes it even more boring).
B-but anon you just don't see the symbolism behind the power of friendships and social links gives you wings and Nyx is literally death that's why you need to friends with everyone so death can be stopped because friendships
>Ignore the UI, art direction, sfx, OST, choice of inspiration, monster designs+models, plot, premise and writing, things we know a merest hint of so far
>and focus on one of the two sets of outfits we've seen for the first four playable character, the outfits they're wearing when masquerading an unremarkable civilians
>Those are just ordinary clothes, and they just look like ordinary people, so this game is creatively bankrupt
I see. You've gotten bored of 'potter-kun' and 'anne/anzu/an', so took a shot at a dartboard and picked a new topic to facetiously shitpost about.
he needs something large enough to keep his cat in 24/7
I'm actually surprised at how little fanart has the whole team in their heist suits. Most of the group shots only have Phantom in his, and the others in their civvies.
>bland game with no creativity at all
eh it's SMT, nothing is quite like it
for a SMT game tho i can see what you're saying, sorta. if you just think of it as a SMT game and a dating sim mashed together or something.
>characters always look like NPCs
if anything, the characters look too ridiculous in P3 and P4
>it's always the most cliche friendship shit
agreed. still that campiness is part of why I love the SMT series so much, really.
oh and we have yet to hear enough about P5 to draw many conclusions, but from everything we know so far, they're moving away from those cliches (an on to others like 'muh edgy teenagers', but whatever makes the relationships more dynamic, idgaf)
>if anything, the characters look too ridiculous in P3 and P4
I think it's poretty telling that from a JRPG standpoint, the casts of Persona look downright normal. I mean, the outfits are at least physically plausible with little totally unnecessary accessories like ankle/wrist belts. Maybe more fashionable than is typical, but still.
Anyone have that acid jazz playlist one anon made a few threads ago?
That's totally a necessary accessory because it's cute.
>tfw one of my posts was on there too
>tfw I never would have known about it if somebody didn't link that shitty blog here
I sort of agree with you. I was expecting that P5 would break the mode a bit but so far it seems more of the same it's sad that persona have to limit itself like that but it's a SMT spinoff so lack of innovation is a given specially when it sells well.
nah but i'll share some acid jazz
Holy shit these are awesome.
It sounds perfect for
for once. For some reason I thought of SMT and MGSwhen I heard those.
>Missing P4's true end
Why is this game such a little cunt? I saved over my file after the normal end because I figured the game was over, and then after learning about the true ending, I find out that you can't download saves to Vitas.
Fuck this shit I'll just do it on the PSdouble.
Has anyone at Atlus ever officially acknowledged the basic concept similarities between Jojo and Persona
Did Jojo even start using stands before Persona began development, or is it just an invention of the radio type deal
Although I wish P3 had a skip button. I think P4G's cutscene skip is the best I've ever seen in video games. Since it's a FAST FORWARD, so if there's anything you particularly wanted to see for some reason you can just stop skipping and see it.
Oh good, the JoJo can of worms has been cracked open
Yes, it's been acknowledged
I don't know and I don't really care enough to find out
Jojo started using multiple years before Persona was a thing but it doesn't really matter regardless.

FUCK YOU NAYSAYERS
IN THE ASS
>mfw I finally managed to successfully romance Yukiko
Ah shit nigger!
>mfw I finally managed to romanced Chie next
AH SHIT NIGGER!
But seriously, is there any affect on two timing Yukiko & Chie at the same time? The game did warned me that I already have a girlfriend (Yukiko) when I was trying to work my way under Chie's skirt, but I ignore that warning like any straight male would.
And shit, I totally forgot about Valentines day.
My ass was already sweat enough during the firework watching event when Yuu let it out that he when to the summer festival with Chie in front of Yukiko (good thing nothing bad comes from that).
But, but at least I get to choose which one to keep, right?
some things are just made to fit together
I'd love a social link with like a student council president and turning her into a sinner/criminal
Maybe that's how social links will work in P5. Getting this person with special skills into your crew. Cooperation would make more sense then.
>break the heart of the other.
Fuck, I can't decide. I like Yukiko more at first, but Chie grew on me a lot, not to mention she was really fucking cute during the summer festival.
Hack your vita asap so you can unlock the psp mode and emulate near every SMT game and play all the other persona games for free.
Plus you can use cool persona themes.
>Persona 3 The Movie: No. 2, Midsummer Knight's Dream with English Subtitles [w/ CD, Limited Edition]
>second movie will have English subs
is anyone here buying it now
Oooh, sweet! didn't know about this.
I am playing that on my Vita right now (well, was more like it, as it's 24h P4G right now).
Do the lack of cutscene detracts from the experience a lot? I've never play the PS2 version.
It was just announced though it looks like, before when the second movie was put up for sale it didn't have any English subtitles advertised anywhere, so this is nice to hear.
Will P5 really only have 4 main characters?
I mean, it's good that they streamline things down a bit, because I ended up not using a lot of people in P4G (sorry Kanji), but man I'm going to miss the lively atmosphere of P4.
It kinda sounds like Persona pretty much ripped off stands from that description.
no, you're fucking retarded if you think that they showed us all the party members in a 2 minute trailer, showing the game for the first time ever.
Yeah but even new comers can see how much more fun having a stand IRL would be to having a persona.
That's the very basics of it. The fun part comes from all the unique shit they can do and the interesting fights that happen between stand users.
Hell in Persona 3 it was a pain. Like once you get Mitsuru, Aigis, and Akihiko on your team there's like no point in dealing with everyone else. Junpei doesn't get any good until the end game, Shinji rip in piece, and everyone else is just alright.
I just wanna read JoJo someday because I heard on a podcast about a scene where a guy who can stop time was just stopping time over and over and sending his stand to destroy buildings and shit to make him seem way stronger than he actually is, and that sounded really awesome.
Yup, you're missing out on a lot of stuff for not playing FES
>Yeah but even new comers can see how much more fun having a stand IRL would be to having a persona.
True, and it's really not surprising.
Stand's ability are waaaaay more diverse than Personas'.
Of course, there are standard shoot fireballs or lighting, hitting stuffs really hard. You know, the "normal" attacking stuffs things.
But there are also Stand's ability like stopping time, turns people into book, turns the user into a string, etc.
I especially like the scene where he stops time, throws a knife at someone, but it doesn't move since time is stopped, and then a continues time, and it's cool as fuck
RIP in Peace Joseph "Best JoJo" Joestar
what matters is being able to never have to use the characters that rub you the wrong way, because you can swap them out for characters you don't dislike as much.
That's the whole point on being able to choose your own party.
The cutscenes are pretty important. Having the models also is important too. In P3P you don't get stuff like Shinji getting shot, or a lot of the resolutions. (especially Akihiko's and Junpei's, whose I feel that they ruined completely by making too on the nose) Scenes like Mitsuru's father dying and Ikutsuki killing himself lose all impact because they're not shown as a cutscene. You don't get to walk around the overworld and try to examine things yourself since they turned it into a point and click where you highlight stuff. To me at least, P3P is the one that's completely inferior. I can't really see preferring it for any reason other than having played P3P first, or if you only ever play the FeMC side of it.
It tells the story better and doesn't have glitches in the text
How is not having cutscenes not a big deal to you? I don't mean that like a rude way or anything, I'm just wondering. P3P portrays things that were originally in cutscenes or was shown through the models really poorly.
ability to telekinetically move things that are directly below you, and gain permanent control of body parts that get wounded while below you.
ability to summon an aerosol that sprays liquid 'meat' which can be used to heal, disguise, or bind people
ability to 'deflate' solid objects poked with a sword
Seriously, the models and cutscenes may not have the best quality. But you don't know what you lose until you play both.
I made the mistake of playing P3P first and when I played FES next I was peeing my pants even at the model of MC standing when the teacher questions him at class.
>not liking FES for the cutscenes and answer
>not also liking P3P for the improved battle mechanics (the ai is for the most part full retarded and you have to be the biggest fucking idiot if you think otherwise) and the nice change of pace that is the FeMC route.
Yeah, the models and cutsceenes might not sound like a big deal, but they really are
If you play P3P first you lose a lot of details
You don't even know pharos was there when MC awakens his persona when you play P3P
The AI isn't retarded, they just have a mind of their own and will do whatever unless you tell them otherwise
Josuke Higashikata, the second. AKA Gappy.
He can summon bubbles that 'steal' from whatever they come in contact with, trapping it until the bubble pops. This can even be nonphysical things, like 'friction' or 'sight' He has four testicles.
You get to visit Inaba in P3P FeMC and stay at Amagi Inn and you get to see barely-teen Yukiko
I'm seeing teen Yukiko right now. And a bit more of her skirt than you see in game.
Thanks to the graphics any event or cameo is not a big thing since it's just a sprite and some lines. Fuckers didn't even bother with CGs like actual VNs.
So how do you think she took the news of
Check the goddamn dates you time-traveler stupid fuck, it's 2015 Goddamnit fucking time-travelers I can't even understand how you can use a computer let alone time-travelling fuck
