So the releaser plays are confirmed possible.

Ritual spell searches out the ritual and lets you discard a BA.

Cagna allows you to dump one spell or trap, meaning either access to the ritual (next turn), or consistent access to fire lake turn 2-3 or so. Having considered this, it's quite unlikely that releaser plays are going to happen withing the span of the first or even the second of your own turns.

Farfa allows you to target and banish one monster on the field (face up or otherwise) until the end phase, making Vanity's fiend strictly inferior to majesty's fiend, and allowing greater OTK potential, and clean, no fuss, no consequence temporary removal in general, which is considerably significant in the Shaddoll matchup.

Libic allows you to take out flying c (so does farfa) if you have a cir or graff and a rubic in your hand/grave, and has synergy with mathematician in general which very well migh be a precious asset come nekroz.

Releaser is easily accessible via either scarm,TGU, or Dante mills in general.

Having considered this, what do you think? Any thoughts you guys want to share?

So I guess turboing out a Malacoda on Turn 1 isn't going to save BA, because it won't work.

Best case scenario, double Dante with a Cagna in there somewhere, getting 2 Good&Evil in the grave, then Fire Lake on the opponent's turn to Snatch back 1 Good&Evil, and using the other to tutor Malacoda.

Too fucking slow. Yes, Dante will have crazy-fast access to Releaser/Demolisher with TGU, but there isn't enough speed to back up the Ritual.

I do like that the Ritual turns any monster in your hand into a RotA once you mill it. That'll be a big boon.

And I do see Libic seeing more use than people give it credit for, because it's another happy mill target.

I guess my response is cautious optimism. The spell is good. The Malebranche's are a slight disappointment, even if they are better than the last batch.

Cagna can be dumped to get a ritual tutor, scarm grabs djinn, then if you dont have another r.spell in grave, next turn: cagna to dump ritual again, send a dante to the grave and grab the ritual, play the ritual, and voila, releaser'd malacoda in two turns in a worst case scenario ( because let's face it, you are going to be dumping the ritual spell early on with dante depending on how many copies it ends up being played at). That isn't exactly sanic mode but it sure aint slow either.

Dante's better with a loaded grave, so I'd want Virgil at the start, I guess. But, if it's first turn and I can't Virgil, do I want Dante to just be on the field, or Zenmaites for defense, or just not do anything?

How to use Burning Lake also confuses me. I guess you'd use it for mass removal? Like, against a full field, you'd special summon 2 BA, set Lake, then activate it during draw phase? Because you can't really just leave it set, because you lose BA special summon, and unless you've got Dantes and Virgil you just have some BA on field or some reason. Or is it a good idea to just leave BA on field so you can get their effects off if they're destroyed?

Are there loops or combos I'm missing out on, also? I might be missing something just looking at the deck.
