The game, it it's current state, is a slog. I got impatient, so I decompiled the python archive to edit things to go tons faster. After playing through pretty much the whole thing, here are some things I found:



Favors:
The favors H will do is determined by her 'whore' score, the only way to increase it is by doing favors.

Items:
Gifts: used to make H less upset, they have no other function. As H's whore score goes up kinkier items will work and mundane items will work less. In the beginning science magazines are the best, and butterbeer always works. Give her things that are too kinky for her level will make her more upset, so play it safe.
Apparel: You can buy & get H to wear the badge, stockings and a shorter skirt. The skirt can only be purchased with a voucher, which can only be acquired by finishing a 'good' ending of the third fiction book.
Books:
Fiction books improve your imagination, which opens up more things you can do with H, they're long.
The nonfiction are just to make you read/write faster, they're 10 chapters are seem to be of questionable value (you'll have plenty of downtime waiting for the Slytherin to get ahead in the points between favors)

Misc:
If the evenings you can (try to) hang out with snape. In the beginning there's not much else to do, so do this often. Getting in good with him will eventually get Slytherin's points to go up faster, and that's the only way to get sexual favors. This goes faster if you have wine, which you can only find by rummaging the cabinet.
The gold you get from doing multiple reports per week has a diminishing return; the progression is: 40, 70, 90, 110, 150, 200
Pay attention to the weather: You write better if there's a full moon. You read better if it's raining and the fire is lit.
