PQ is very fun, story is basically a throwaway, but the combat and fan service interactions between the P3/P4 cast are nice to see. It's worth it to play even just one side, so P3 for you.

No. Unless you really like fighting games I don't see why you'd get it. The story is heavily P3/P4 but the storymode isn't considered that great.

PQ has better reception, it's a first person dungeon crawler and the gameplay is good. The story is alright. Most character interactions are fanservice, but it's entertaining fanservice.

I'd say the even if Dojima accepted that supernatural circumstances were the reason behind the case, and that Adachi was the one to do it, he'd still have to explain this all to the rest of the police station and later the court.

I mean I guess you could get someone on the IT to shove their hand in in front of the rest of the police as well and then get interrogated to hell and back. To absolutely confirm the IT's testimony would require going into the TV as well. Unless Adachi gets beaten up by the power of friendship and bonds, he doesn't confess, which means the thing has to be dealt with purely through beaurocracy. And I guess you have someone put themselves into a TV before the court. It all sounds like a bit of a drag.

Namatame deludes himself into thinking the TV is safe because he sees Yukiko on it looking pretty in her kimono and wants to think he can help someone somehow. He's still reeling with the loss of Mayumi and is trying to stop others from getting murdered even before he starts shoving them in the television (ie, Saki). Adachi knows this and nudges Namatame to help out by putting them in the television, basically doing his work for him without any risk to himself.

Since Yukiko comes back safe Namatame believes that he's right and the TV is safe, so he keeps doing it.

It's funny, it's low-risk compared to shoving people in himself, and he's bored. He didn't know the IT would save the first person so he was probably just expecting for Namatame to do it and fall even deeper into a hilarious despair. But he was fine with the IT becoming a ragtag rescue group as well and was willing to just stand by and watch them as entertainment instead. That's even more fulfilling than just getting a one-off on Namatame.

I don't really understand it myself and I'm a pretty strong P4fag. I wouldn't call the characters deep but I did find them interesting and liked them. One thing I really liked was the attention to detail in the setting, designs, NPCs ect. It's pretty cohesive. For the record I don't get why people like P3 so much either. The P3 plot/setting/characters don't interest me as much.

The overall tone of P1 isn't overly saccharine though. P4's light-hearted the whole way through until Nanako dies.
