Yes it's pretty much Ikutsuki. Yukari's father mentions that Ikutsuki and Grandpa Kirijo were behaving like they were cursed by a devil. My best guess for Ikutsuki's actions was Nyarlathotep's influence. Nyarly doesn't exactly do the stuff. He just makes people do things by persuading him.

That's why I always found it so strange that this promise of being a prince at the end of the world was somehow discovered through research. I mean how the hell do you uncover such a concept? Know what that shit sounded like to me? The Oracle of Maia.

Also Nyarlathotep has been busy for many years before the events of P1. Before P1, he was raising Jun while saying stuff to Kandori and Tatsuya Sudou. Many years before that he was also doing shit with Tatsuzou Sudou with the fake rumor mummy.

I mean with the way P3 was made, one could assume it was Nyarlathotep that did the initial damage since in 1999 he was fucking around in Sumaru City. Plus in that same year the Nanjo Group was messing around with that sort of stuff too.

A year before the events of P1, Mitsuru states that her grandfather began to research shadows. That same year Kandori starts doing the DVA research and uses Maki, but doesn't come into fruition until later. After the SEBEC disaster, the Nanjo Group gets a hold of that sweet ass research and scientists. It's very likely that during 1996-1999 that information was exchanged between Nanjo and Kirijo. That's why you have similar things like the kegare looking like P3 shadows and the concept of creating artificial persona users.

I mean since 1999, Nyarly stopped messing around and looks like he's leaving humanity alone, but if he was the being that said all those things to Kirijo and Ikutsuki, then its effects really went very far.

But we'll never really know if this is ever going to be true or happen since Hashino doesn't really like to mess around with the older games.

Well it's just an assumption that frankly does seem to make sense, but yeah ain't gonna happen with Hashino. Would be interesting though.

Ultimax's fallout makes me think we're going to get another shitty Copycat-no-Okami in P5. I can only imagine what plot point from which Persona game DAN will copy. I can't wait to play PQ in English though. It's already evident how much it's basically Maki's story, but I want to see if there is anything else.

For one, the personality of the ME changes. You're talking intelligience though. When he is in his real voice, his personality comes out. In Arena he didn't seem to give a shit and laughed it off. In Ultimax he's not that anymore and keeps talking about how everyone is shit because of bonds.

Another thing is that he is after Personas so he can turn them into shadows. This changes completely in Ultimax and settles for "carving" personas, so they can get pieces of shadow instead.

Never did the ME talk about muh bonds in Arena, but in Ultimax he seems to be taking a dump on the notion.

Elizabeth leaves the VR therefore isn't bounded by it. Why then, does she state that she cannot interfere because of the rules of the VR? That literally happened one day in the game.

Well, in P4 the game revolved around the mystery, and it really wasn't until the last minute that it made the switch to 'world danger'. P3 was kinda similar, but it has world danger written all over it from the start.

Yukari’s feelings for p3mc is canon so people prob just auto assume that the ship is canon too I guess. Though the same could be said about Aigis. None of the ships are truly canon.

I can see that being the case for Yukari. Far too many people seem to think ship tease = canon, even though only one of the ship teased characters actually wins in the end. Most people don’t actually seem to bother thinking very hard about whether or not a love interest character really won or lost, they just assume it’s canon because it was hinted at.
In the case of Aigis however, I have to disagree. Unlike Yukari, who has a total of two close scenes and a bit of ship tease going for her, Makoto and Aigis actually have far more close scenes (The night before the Ryoji fight, the aftermath of the fight, their scene in January, and the final day on the rooftop, as well as others like when Makoto comes back from fighting Nyx, to a lesser degree), as well as much, implying from both a trope and more literal sense, that they do share a close, intimate bond. The best example is certainly the ending scene (which takes place during a lap pillow moment, no less), but there are a few others, such as the ones I mentioned before.

I suppose you COULD argue they’re just an extremely close “Platonic Life Partners” type, but scenes such as the one in which Makoto gets a “Doki-Doki” heart from first seeing her make even that quite a stretch.

With Yukari, I’m lead to conclude by the absence of close moments past the Beach Trip Event, as well as the lack of any strong evidence that Makoto returns her feelings, that her love is one-sided, and I think most people are well aware of the evidence against it, which is why it confuses me that they seemingly choose to ignore it.

Aigis, on the other hand, is a different case entirely.
