Vodoo SMT when
Freedom is the one said by Kagutsuchi to be the one with no set future and has no rule.
It is also the one that he complains about overflowing with chaos, suffering, darkness, and sin.
Yosuga will be pure and beautiful, is based on a rule, has a hierarchy, and Kagutsuchi accepts it like all Reasons that restrict the chaos chaos.
Going to play Nocturne tomorrow as my first SMT. Is there anything I should know going in? I know there's a true ending that apparently requires I hold onto my pixie or whatever I make from it, but would you say I should care about that ending on a first playthrough?
If you want to fuq pixie you have to keep the demons that you fused her into through out the game, do not sacrifice her or the demon into another demon fusion. The only thing you need to know is use buffs retard, and if you want to get the true demon end you need to finish the kalpa's before you enter the final dungeon.
> I know there's a true ending that apparently requires I hold onto my pixie or whatever I make from it
Incorrect. You get the "true" ending by completing the Fifth Kalpa, a series of bonus dungeons you can do while you play, before entering the final dungeon. If you get far enough in the bonus dungeon then your Pixie will return with fantastic stats, which you can then use to open doors that require you to have a demon with said fantastic stats. Only requirement for that to happen is that you never dismiss your first demon in your list, which you likely wouldn't do anyway.
>but would you say I should care about that ending on a first playthrough?
No, but be warned that the True ending overrides any other and isn't particularly hard to get put in.
As for general advice, a strength build is recommended. More so if going for the true ending, where you get a skill that heavily favors strength, but it is still generally better than magic even without said skill. Buffs and debuffs are important, as is exploiting elemental strengths and weaknesses. And you should do the Kalpas, barring the 5th, even if you aren't doing the true ending. Go through them as soon as they open up, they're great sources of experience, money(macca) and unique demons.
Nocturne expects you to use your brain unlike p3/4
Basically if you're smart enough you will never have to grind
That's one of the game's strongest points
This means though that poor decision making is punished much more severely than persona due to the press turn system
tldr you can't just approach smt with a brute force attitude that often works in persona
Yeah, but are there certain strategies that worked in Persona but don't in SMT, or vice versa? I used debuffs all the time in Persona, but never used buffs until I could do party-wide buffs. I also never bothered with status effects because 90% of the enemies were immune to 90% of the effects and you couldn't figure out which were weak to which.
unlike in persona, buffs/debuffs don't go away after three turns. they can also be stacked up to four stages. so, for instance, if you want to do the most possible damage with a single physical attack, you'd buff your phys damage to +4, then use focus on top of that
Well in SMT buffs and debuffs stack up to 4 times, and bosses are designed around you abusing this
If you don't you will struggle
Also status effects are key to easy success on normal mobs, though less so than DDS
>If you have right party set up you can max it at four and do an attack in a single turn
>4 press turns
>4 buffs or debuffs
>And an attack
What? Even if you're hitting a weakness four times and then buffing 4 times that is not worth it at all.
if you stick your dick into the amala dungeon all the way, you'll get to him before you get to the end
he's a fiend, so you best get crackin on those candelabras/ kalpas
and you need at least one macca
The Talmud permits hebephilia so long as G-d is kept in our hearts at all times and we do not succumb to lust. In other words, we must love little girls as though we are loving JHVH.
>i want to fuck erika
you'll know when the time is right, good goyim
You think Mirai hangs out with demi-fiend when she visits her father?
that hide and seek thing the one time you fight him is still one of my favorite parts of Nocturne
I have no idea what you're talking about
DDS2. Pretty easy, but holy shit
>dat cycle of elements it uses
>dat cutscene after beating it
Fucking loved that fight.
There will never be a manga with mirai and her crossdressing dad and the family butler demi-fiend
White were right.
Also fucking neuters, game gets mad if you say you don't care about Walt and John. Why should one care? Fucking assholes, I bet those faggots who wrote the neuter route never played a SMT game before. Friends are worth nothing, they die anyways.
During the fight with Issachar, when you answer something like you don't care about Walter and Jonathan, your HP get reduced to 1, I think.
Was some time ago, can't remember. Needless to say I still won without problems.
characters tend to break off into alignment representatives, whom you would later have to kill
this is pretty moot now since sj and iv (and probably other games) have neutral heroes, so technically you're now killing "friends" equally between the alignments.
You're still killing people regardless of which alignment you are. People are going to disagree with you to the point where they believe killing you is the right thing to do. It's literally unavoidable no matter which alignment you choose.
If anon is making the argument that neutral implies homicidal tendencies then it's only fair to say that all three alignments imply it.
>He does nothing.
>demons give him free power because affirmative action
>he gets infinite enlightenment by looking at a box.
>Gives it to a robot who for some reason was programmed to not want to be worshipped, and to think he would be.
>Dies like a bitch
neutral used to mean that there were two alignment heroes and you would kill both, instead of just one.
it's a stupid joke anyway. why are you taking it seriously.
and like i said, it's outdated since there have been neutral heroes, and you're equally a murderer no matter which alignment.
but also, you can't take the use of "killing" and "murder" seriously here. the player character doesn't decide that it needs to be a fight to the death. the foe does. it's their fault for not yielding to me when it's clear that they're going to lose. it's not my fault for defending myself in a mortal situation when the aggressor won't back down and won't let me leave.
Yeah, realized that afterwards.
I'm sorry, man.
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Demonica course, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Eridanius, and I have over 300 confirmed formas. I am trained in neutral warfare and I’m the top Space marine in the entire Antartica. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Swartzeland, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Paradigm X? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my pal Arthur across the USA and your Forma is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my knife. Not only am I extensively trained in STR combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of Irving and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, slime.
>it's not my fault for defending myself in a mortal situation when the aggressor won't back down and won't let me leave.
Keep telling yourself that, my friend. Maybe you can convince yourself and finally stop crying and being tormented in your dreams by your bad consciousness with the ghosts of the people you killed but YHVH knows the truth, you'll get your punishment soon enough.
i don't know what exactly you're responding to...
it's alright. you're anonymous
we don't know who you are.
any shame you feel is fleeting.
I was sad because I made fun of you saying Gore is a friend.
Yhvh is my main problem with law
I have no problem with setting up a world of laws to protect the weak, punish the evil etc. but thats not even slightly what yhvh is about.
All he cares about is having worshipers praise him all day every day. He doesn't give a shit about law just his ego
Also fuck off metatron
Why would He need to know useless stuff like that? What speaks against resorting to mind control?
I know how you feel.
It's exceedingly average, if you really liked the slink aspect of 3 and want more stuff like that then go for it, it's got a pretty shitty story though and the characters aren't nearly as well written as the ones in 3 while the dungeons are just as shit
It's not the flawless masterpiece faggot weebs make it out to be, but it's okay. Honestly the only redeeming factors are the characters and the art style (kind of) and even then most of the characters are derivative from P3.
But if you've played a lot of mainline SMT, then yeah it's pretty refreshing.
