Well they didn't do that with Tatsuya or P3MC either, so I don't see any reason why they'd change now.

Personally I think Piercy got kinda shut down too early, especially since other P1 characters were pretty important in P2, at least for EP. But yes, I wouldn't be too happy if Yu ended up being a really important figure in P5.

I wouldn't mind some cameos though, like maybe you run into Cop Akihiko or Naoto at some point while they're on a case. The cameo roster is kind of limited if all the P1/P2 characters are dead in the water, after all.
