Protector, Ronin, Land
Troubador or Hexer, and a Medic.

A Protector in EOU is very helpful, those Anti-Element shields are very useful in some fights and they fixed the status/attack shit from the first game (EX: If an ice element attack that has a chance to kill you, will still have a chance to kill you if it heals you with the Anti-element. This time around, it just heals you with no negative effects)

Ronin are monster damage dealers, just get Overhead and Swallow Strike.. or is it Shallow Strike? Its fairly early on, thatll be your main damage throughout the game. I also highly go against making an Elemental Ronin with the Ronin Abilities, too much stance switching or prepping up for that. Just look for STR-Based Element attacks from enemies. Tigers in Strat 2 for Lightning, Rats in Strat 4 for Fire, Wolves in Strat 1 for Ice

Lands wont be nearly as damaging as the Ronin, but they are there to chase elemental damage via grimoires and alchemist stuff which is kinda nice. Just get the Mace Attack that has a chance to stun, thatll be your big hitter

A Medic is kinda optional depending on if this is your first run or not, my Troubadour had a lot of amazing Healing Grimoire abilities from Simon and was my Main Healer all the way to the ygg core. Echoing Rondo is amazing for both Regen Song, Elderevenge Tea or raw healing. Plus Healing Mastery. And Taboo Rondo when maxed out extends all buffs/debuffs by 3, this includes Stances and enemy def/atk down. Troubadours are fucking amazing in EOU

A Hexer goes hand in hand with the right Ronin, while their tasks to do stuff after debuffing a boss falls off they make great Blue Mages, they can use Attack Unit when you get it, or monster element attacks due to their TEC. I do not recommend getting any Binds or Ailments with the Hexer. Also, while I am not sure I think someone long time ago said something about Hexer Sapping/Frailty stacking with Forest Barrier/Breach resulting in so much more dps.

Not who you're replying to, but are landies really that good? I've always stuck with Dark Hunter since level 10 viper wipes the floor with FOEs and bosses early-mid game, and they have binds along with ecstacy/climax.

Can landy outdamage DH? How good are their chases?
>>
>>78640058
I'm also not the anon you were replying to, but that sounds nearly identical to the team I was planning to use in U; I tried the demo recently.

I was wanting to try and "spiritually" remake my team from IV, but looking at these skillsets I'm realizing that that'll probably be next to impossible. Oh well. I'll take your advice, though, it seems balanced enough of a band.

Dark Hunters with Viper are neat and nice and all, but their damage and bind usefulness really drops off around strat 4. things are harder to land, or immune or the rest of your team picks up speed and starts wiping things out faster then you can set up. My Ronin and Land were just destroying shit before the Dark Hunter could do anything. Use Dark Hunters for Boost Up and Wrath's Might grimoires and toss them aside.

I loved Dark Hunters as well because a half naked woman with a whip can be your thing but I got flacid quickly when she could not stand up to most bosses as you waste turns trying to bind a dragons head or Irnomotheroletotaps arms. Also, the Yggdrasil Core is immune to binds and Diminishing Returns will fuck you hard due to how long the fight is.

Grimoires make the game go around. Action Boost boosts the Alchemist up there way high and since most everything has an elemental weakness. Shit hurts.

Ricky has Action Boost available to her at all times, and those Charged Shots she has out-tiers most other classes. When I learned to ignore Ricochet and went with Charged Shot, and Charged Elemental Shots and stacking STR she exploded with omfgbbqery.

The Highlander.. when you get his boss rotation down he... jesus.

Delayed Charge>Action Boost/Limitless>Spear Assist(even with no elemental weakness, this is still a powerful attack)>Spear Assist>Limitless>(Delayed Charge is on its last Turn)Cross Charge. This destroys bosses

Considering that all expert does is change the amount of damage you deal and take, yes. If you use the same level of planning as you have to in every other EO without grimoires, it's perfectly possible. It might be harder because instead of wiping everything out in three turns you might have to take a dozen, but it's certainly doable.
Also, EO1 if you don't use any of the bugged skills is harder than EOU on expert.

The most annoying thing of that fight is the kidnappings, but that can be avoided with items. Mars can easily handle the minions, so it's a rather easy fight with Astro Force. Well, 90% of the game is really easy even on the highest difficulty...

The only thing I could think of is if you have a little tab in the corner that you can swipe up to bring up a translucent map overlay on top of the regular view. The only problem is that you'd have much less precision with your fingers, and I doubt they'd pull a Kid Icarus Uprising and package each game with a capacitive stylus.

How do I beat this fucker? I've gotten a game over to him twice. My strategy up until now has been maxing out taunt and damage reduction on my fortress and having my medic spam heals to keep her alive, but I can only interrupt his charging attack maybe half the time, and then he'll randomly decide to use counter and fuck up my whole team. I have a few of my party's weapons forged with arm bind but it never actually arm binds him.
>>
>>78698786
Do you have a sniper? They're super good for binding and can use squall volley eventually.

If I remember correctly, the counter isn't random, and you should be able to tell when he'll do it (don't take my word for it, though )

It all depends on your party setup. I used
F/D/Ns
M/S
and had an easy time using blind and arm bind, and defending before he used the charge attack.
>>
>>78698786
Binds? And he counters after every time he gets off his charged move or you interrupt that mood
>>
>>78699696
Ah ok, I thought so, but wasn't entirely sure. I think just knowing that will help a lot.

>>78699619
Yeah, but I didn't realize how good binding would be and put most of my points into long shot and steel arrow. I have leg bind but would have to grind more to get arm bind. My party is
F/L
S/M/Rm
the runemaster is able to do a ton of damage to him since I have a lot of points into lightning.
Also, I just realized the guild card says max level or something is 15 right now, what does that mean? My people are all 15 but still gaining exp, will they just not be able to go to 16? This is my first EO besides emulating the first one and doing a couple caves
>>
>>78700245
Since you pit points into something that you didn't like, you can go to the explorer's guild and "rest" your sniper. They'll lose two levels, but your points will be reset and you can spend them on binds.

I don't know a lot about using landies, but I heard that you can use their link skills with a runemaster for massive damage.
>>
>>78679075
Why would they need to do that 50/50 split? All you need to do is have the back act as a toggle to show it full screen + a drawable minimap on the standard interface.
The bottom screen on the 3ds is bad enough that I'd welcome EO on anything else. Even the minor upgrade going to vita. My phone works leagues better as a digital mapper as long as I'm not concerned with looking like an idiot outside.

Hell, phones/tablets might actually be the best platform for these things now if games weren't doomed to become IAP ridden shit on them.
>>
>>78702175
It seems kinda silly to draw your own map instead of using auto-map just to use it as a regular mini-map later. I always prefered dungeon crawlers and metroidvanias on 3DS because you can easily view maps, stats and etc without needing to pause the game.
>>
>>78704007
In EO the bottom screen is only drawable in mini-map mode to begin with.
>>
>>78706632
But can be used as a complete map without the need to pause he game. Way more convenient.

Nothing is stopping you from doing the same thing on bigger screen.
Even better you have the option for full screen map/menu overlays that are touch responsive where it is more convenient instead of only being locked to the small screen in all situations.

The dual screen was pretty good in the ds/psp era for sure. Now not so impressive.
>>
>>78728941
Different anon here, but I have no idea what kind of benefit you can possibly see. Having played through an entire dungeon crawler (overhead view instead of first-person, admittedly) where the map was laid over the main game area (PMD Rescue Team - it's the default option), having the map cluttering up the main view screen would be an absolutely terrible idea.

Similarly, I really don't see much benefit to moving to a different system, be it Vita or a phone or something, because phone touch screens can be and usually are pretty imprecise since you can't use a pinpointed stylus on it. I dunno about the Vita, personally, but doing some quick Google searches, it looks like its the same case. Not to mention the fact that, yes, trying to squish both the first-person view and the map onto a single screen would be terrible, and putting the map into a pausing menu would defeat the point of the map in the first place. The map being readily accessible and viewable at any point in time is practically the reason EO works so well: you can look and turn around in the dungeon to get your bearings and then try to map by sight, you can track FOEs as you wander around, all without needing to stop and go into a different menu.

DH/R/WM/G/H is way more cookie cutter in 2 than P/R/WM/G/H

I don't know why you keep insisting that the P variant is easier.
>>
>>78774096
Both are gimmicky, but the P variant at least doesn't depend 100% on binds and Axcela II spam to survive against bosses.
>>
>>78774559
What are you talking about? By the time that you actually need binds you should be well into Stratum 5/6.

Viper 5 is extremely powerful for its point investment and how easy it is to get. It also hands you two 30k en conditionals.

Hellion shouldn't even live past turn 3 with the DH team since you can just ohko him at 55% hp through Climax 10.

Scylla is a DPS race and Harpuia is a chump.

Colossus isn't so bad thanks to Bash Mists and accessories.

Overlord is fairly easy unless you get unlucky with his reflects.

90% of post game won't live past the time where the first Dominate wears off since the sheer DPS from the combined team is far greater than that of the Protector version.

Do you really believe that you go for Ecstasy first and grind up FP before each and every boss with that team?

I managed to find EO untold in my local games store preowned for next to nothing and I'm very stoked. I'd like to play through on classic first since I never played EO1. I'm looking at Ronin/Protector/Lands Troub and something else in my back line. Are medics important in this one? What else would make this work better?
>>
>>78782721
Get a DH instead of a LK and an Alchemist in the back row.
Get Defender on your P and after that level your cure/party cure abilities.
>>
>>78782721
You already have both a protector and a troubadour so medic's pretty pointless. Just make sure you spec your troubadour into healing ASAP.

And try an alchemist or hexer. Alchemist if you're trying to use elemental chases on your land (as you got elemental atks from ronin, and element buff from troubadour). Or get a hexer since you don't have any binds/ailments
>>
>>78783007
Any other basic tips for this one?

Spec the DH in either whips for binds or swords for ailments.

>>78775201
Until Colossus it's fine, with the exception of maybe Scylla if you get unlucky, but starting with Colossus that party depends increasingly on force skills for consistency against bosses, and by the postgame you're virtually required to open every fight with Riot Gun + Dominate. Not that that doesn't work extremely well, but grinding for force is a pain.

That's an uncomfortable way to play because you'll have to focus your eyes on just one side of the screen. It's as shitty on a PC monitor as it would be on a Vita screen.
>>
>>78818580

it's not ideal but it would be more than playable
you could also make a small mini map on the side and have a blend-in full map layered over the game if you hold L and you'll be able to draw with your other hand (or vice versa if you're left handed)

Atlus doesn't do dubs if the game doesn't have international online, so at least the audio quality won't be compressed to shit. That said, I hope they don't reuse anyone except maybe Todd Haberkorn, who must've made some easy money being the innkeeper and no one else.

Are you the same anon from before? Said something about her being good if she's got a good voice director but otherwise eh? I looked up a few videos of Untold recently since I'm thinking of getting it and Raquna's lines don't seem bad, but they're kind of... plain. I guess.

I searched her up when it was mentioned but all I found was a list of her anime/non-game roles, and I don't really watch much of that. Anything notable game-wise that she's done? I might have heard her before.
>>
>>78836286
Crap, meant dual audio, not dubs.

>>78836557
She needs to stay away from Atlus. They clearly don't know how to direct her.

I still think this cast would be pretty good, though:
Matthew Mercer - Fafnir Knight
Kyle Hebert - Bertrand
Flavio - David Vincent
Arianna - Christine Marie Cabanos
Chloe- Cassandra Morris
>>
>>78825638
>Colossus is a joke boss when you throw down a Bash Mist or the all physical damage reduction mist.
I was only ~50 at the time, but in my experience using a mist makes the fight much harder, because it puts you over the buff limit that makes him use his full-party massive damage and bind attack, and even with the mist's damage reduction, trying to recover from that sort of damage and head bind with a WDR/HG party is a huge gamble. The only somewhat reliable strategy I found was to offload most of the randomness onto the beginning of the fight and retry until the right bind landed before he killed everyone, then Dampen and Revenge until he died.
>Not to mention that you the only time you should be grinding up for FP is when you're hunting for the Dominator which is available since Stratum 4.
Grinding for the Dominator is even worse than grinding for Axcela IIs, though, and plenty of bosses if they feel like it can just kill your DH before Dominate goes off if you don't use Riot Gun with it, because WDR/HG is completely worthless defensively.
>>
>>78837984
Nah, that's me (>>78838892).

Like I said, she can be great, but the problem is that next to no one knows how to direct her well. If you've played an Atlus game recently, you've definitely heard her. She was new Chie in Persona 4 Golden, the sorceress in Dragon's Crown, Midori in Devil Survivor Overclocked, Erica/Trish in Catherine, Feene in Conception 2, and Naomi in Soul Hackers.

She's been voice acting since 1992, though, so maybe you would recognize her as Nazz or May Kanker from Ed, Edd, n' Eddy?

Aha, I never played Catherine, but I did watch a playthrough of it, so yeah, I think I remember Erica's voice. I also remember watching a couple P4 videos since a while back I was a little interested in getting into the series, and I didn't quite like it as much as the earlier voice. Not bad, but not as good, I think I thought to myself.

Kind of surprised she worked on Eds, though. Been ages since I even saw an episode.

So I'm pretty convinced I should put my fortress in the back row.

All he does in the front row is taunt and defend. Sure guard mastery only works in the front row, but he's surviving just fine now.

If I throw him in the back row I can get rid of my Sniper/Bushi and get another front line fighter for more damage.

>>
>>78845113
Yeah at first I thought i'd be missing out due to no Tp recovery and no guard mastery in the front row. But I think I could get more use of throwing him in the back row, ditching my Sniper/Bushi and getting something up front that hits harder.
>>
>>78846228
Maybe an imperial.

But then again its not like a sniper/bushi is a pushover either.
>>
Would a sniper using Silver arrow benefit from nightseeker follow trace? Would that make a good sub?
>>
>>78847321
S/N is pretty bad for damage when S/B exists. The only reason to use it is so you can proc more links with Follow Trace Squall Volleys.
>>
>>78847321
It would, but only like 25% of the time. Follow Trace is crap even when a nightseeker main. Go Bushi
>>
>>78849217
Follow Trace with an N main activates over half the time, and even with N sub it has around a 40% chance of activating. N sub doesn't get much damage from it with the lower activation chance and 50% damage reduction, but on an N main with >50% activation and 80% damage it's pretty great, since N's damage output against ailing enemies is insane even before Follow Trace is factored in.

The only buffs that should be going off is War Might on the R/DH/G and a mist.

So that's 7 buffs tops.

Playing EO for the first time here -- I started with the very first game for the DS by the way.

Just hit 5th stratum, using 2 L's and a T in the front, an M and an S in the back.

My party feels... I don't even know. The L's are fine, but I don't like them. I want to retire, maybe P D M T S instead.

What's the best way of leveling superfast? Internet says treefrogs, but I get what feels like a 10th of a level for killing 30 of them.

Is there a quicker method? I can hold off til a later floor if there is.

I've been thinking about what team I'll use in EOU2 Classic (since I'll probably do that first), and then I started thinking about grabbing Desmume and a ROM of the original 2, so if I might ask - does L D R, M G sound like a decently balanced team for Heroes of Lagaard?

I'm guessing that you have to unlock Gunners in 2 (since I thought you had to unlock Ronin and Hexers in 1, but U1 seemed to make them available from the start), but regardless, lay it on me, folks.

>>78877464
Ls were total and complete shit. Highest damage move dealt 260%, compared to an R or G doing like 425% each. A's are pretty horrible too by the way, and T's got nerfed pretty badly.

D's great, R's great, G's great, M's not bad.

You're horribly lacking in buffs. Either drop the L for a T or drop the L, replace the M with a WM, and take a 5th not-shit character.

Depends. The tree frogs are the safe bet as you can summon them and they kill simple enough without bashing your potential mark.

I've seen the same advice, but I personally ended up using the ants out of straight circumstance (ie: I stumbled into an FOE nest and chewed my way out twenty athropod corpses later).

The real truth is, so long as there's a quick-heal pool around and you've got a decent Medic & Trabadour, you can grind long.

If you're looking for stamina exp spots:

7th floor, area right around the Alarune option boss fight

12th floor - The respawning FOEs or 11th alternatively with the tree frogs

16th floor - walkway leading into 17th floor where the Chimera boss fight and FOE rush resides

24th floor right where the rejuvinating pool resides. Great place to beef up a L/A chaser combo

Thanks. Decided to check the thread again just to lurk and I was surprised somebody actually replied to that post.

I'm guessing most people don't bother getting to 70 and retiring on all their characters? +6sp and like +3 of a stat doesn't seem worth it, given how long the grind looks.
>>
>>78924590
Not a prob. Though I'm just starting out myself, so what I wrote is what ended up working for me. The game thus far (I'm in post-game—think there's only one boss left) doesn't really call for anything as extreme as retiring any/every party member. I retired my Alchemist because I didn't want to just reassign the skill points and figured the extra stats would be worth the exchange (he was about lv50). Everyone else I have on my team (one in each class) is well on their way to 70. It's made the difference, since the Flame and Freeze spells smack harder and I can lead into chaser attacks better (a must on some of the final stratum enemies. fucking crabs).

Really, you can clear the game around Lv50. Just pay attention to your setup, and don't spend sp frivolously. As in, hoard what you have until you need a strategy to kill bosses.

And, truthfully, the strategy you use on the Wyvern should work on everyone else save Manticore and the three great dragons.

>>78933542
Aside from some inexcusably grindy quests required for postgame content, EO2 does a lot of things really well. Contrary to popular belief, the balance is actually pretty amazing; some classes (DH, protector, gunner, hexer) can make the game a cakewalk if you abuse their force skills and hexer's revenge and torpor, but landsknecht and alchemist are basically the only classes that are so bad you're always better off swapping them out for something else that just does their job better (outside of that counter kill on Ur-child that landsknechte can do). Every other class has its own niche and works well in certain party setups with the right accessories and mists, and a few of the typically unused classes are actually quite a bit stronger than the "cookie-cutter" classes outside of force skills. DR/WHG is an amazingly boring party and I am sorry for anyone who hasn't played EO2 with something more fun.

Also, boss grinding in EO2 is great and I will be extremely disappointed if (when) it doesn't return in EOU2.
>>
>>78938963
Got an example of a fun party? I went in blind and wound up with PDW/GH on my first playthrough.

P and D were my favorites from the first game, but I wanted to try the new classes (hence G and W), and the H just sort of seemed to pair naturally with the W's skills.
The whole game was a freaking breeze since P's pretty much as good as R in terms of damage, and has a much better Force skill for bosses/FoEs.
Also, I was one of the few idiots to actually use a revenge hexer in the FIRST game, when it was overall a far weaker class.

I was thinking of going back and replaying it with an LTW/GG chase party this time, but maybe one of you guys have a better idea.

The level cap was 70 and could not be raised at all. Retiring still gave bonus SP depending on when you retired.
>>
>>78945526
so the max level was 70?
wooow
>>
>>78945624
Expanding on what other guy said, retiring brought you to level 1 no matter when you retire, and you only get +3 to a single attribute, based on the retiree (so an L retiring into an S gets +3 to str, but an S retiring to an L gives +3 agi instead)

I'm developing a dungeon crawler with a friend and I've been a little stuck on something.
I want a way to heavily penalize the player for dying without breaking the game.
I see that taking away a substantial amount of money/all money is used a lot, but I don't think our game is going to have any currency as we are removing the entire concept of having a town and the game is taking place entirely in the dungeon.

Lower max health for x amount of fights, hard capped at up to 50%? Similar to Demon Souls.
Deducting XP is also a thing people do, but I find it soul-crushing. Maybe do it the /tg/ way with "negative levels" that can be removed via item or npcs rather than being straight xp deductions?

So in EO4 is Runemaster pretty much just an elemental ranged back-row version of the Landshark? One makes the other feel a tad redundant.
>>
>>78970815
I don't really see how they're similar, like, at all. How did you arrive at that conclusion?
>>
>>78970815
Lands do more damage if you have the proper linkers, but Runemasters are very very useful to prevent magic damage in the late game.
>>
>>78970815
Not at all.
>>
>>78970815
Runemaster is semi support where as Landsnkecht is pure dps with bulk, they work best together. Runemaster lowers enemies' resistance to increase elemental damage and can help get links with the multi hitting Galvanic/Glacier Rune. Certainly not making the other one redundant.

What's a fun (but not cookie-cutter) party for Lagaard that can do the post-game without abusing Axcelas? Every time I try to build a party without a Hexer and War Magus in it, I miss Cursecut and Torpor too much to stay interested.
Taking the Hexer and choosing not to spec for Revenge feels like I'm purposely gimping myself too much as well.

I was thinking chaser L with a T and a couple of G's for risk*eles, but aside from sounding very tp- and sp-expensive, it feels like replacing the L with a midareba R and taking Ricochet on the gunners would do more damage.

Fucking multipliers in this game, man.

>>
>>78989000
Really, it's more that the balance for 2 is busted, so you either have shit parties that you struggle through the main game with and have no chance of beating postgame, or you can make a D P / G H WM team and kill everything ever.

>>78989539

>>
>>78989587
the balancing in EOU2 should fix this.
right?
>>
>>78989587
That's it exactly. As I posted (much) earlier, I pretty much stumbled blindly into that fucking cookie cutter build (P instead of the typical R though), by taking my 2 favorite portraits from the first game, taking the 2 new classes in the second game, and taking a hexer because it 'felt' good with the WM. It was still a fun game, I just wonder what I missed out on by stumbling onto one of the best parties from the get-go.

Anything else I can think of feels sort of like a chore now, which is why I thought I'd ask /eog/ for suggestions.
>>

WHy is All Guard considered bad in EO2?
>>
>>78989000
It's hard to find something less fun than "use torpor to trivialize every encounter" and "use riot gun and dominate, then revenge and axcelas on hard bosses". If you want to play without force skills or a hexer, PR/TWG is probably the strongest party. A lot of other attrition parties can do the same thing using the same general strategies as that party, but they will take more turns and more items to do it.
>>
>>78990413
Because of the mechanics.
At 5/5 All Guard, every hit reduces the chance that it'll work by 32%.
>>
>>78990413

Because of the way guards work in 2. All the other guards will always block 100% of time, not the case with all guard, there's only a chance it will guard multiple times, even at max
>>
>>78990594
>>78990612
So, ignore All Guard, take anti-elements until nullify, max out Front Guard, Smite and STR up?
>>
>>78990912
Take the antis 10/10. Getting them to 8 or 9 gives them a (slim) chance at failing with each subsequent hit.

Also, I never really used Front Guard. Rushed Smite and Str Up, took the antis, maxed out health and tp up. Done.
>>
>>78990912
You want the anti-elements at level 10; they aren't guaranteed to work until then. 1 (and only 1) point in en garde is also good, and you'll want at least a point in provoke as well (potentially more for early bosses, but by post-game it's essentially useless). Other than that, front and back guard are good at any level for defensive builds, as are smite and STR up if you're going for an offensive build, shield mastery if you have points left in a defensive build, and TP(if you need it)/HP up for any build. I might be forgetting something, but that should be most of the skills you should pay attention to.
>>
>>78990484
I guess you and I have different definitions of fun, which is fine.

I don't really find it fun to do something in 4 or 5 turns that I've done in 3 before, or spend money/items in fights I never needed to before. That sort of thing.

It feels slow/purposely gimped to me. I'm sure other people mind far less about that sort of thing though.

I'd have enjoyed the game far more if I just hadn't picked a Hexer in my first playthrough, I'm sure. My crews in the first and third game were a bit less cookie-cutter but worked well enough regardless. I just got lucky with my picks in the second one.

>>
>>78991904
Do you want to feel any accomplishment doing the fight? There's some Japanese strat that involves a couple of low-level characters doing pre-scripted bullshit and killing him in 2 turns, if you're only in it for the completion.
>>
>>78991829
There's no party that can do things as efficiently as the cookie-cutter party, since it can basically completely shut down every encounter and every boss, but the fact that it works for everything is a minor miracle considering how quickly it would crumble if there were just one boss that riot gun + dominate didn't neuter. I enjoy playing attrition parties more because while they can beat everything without having to grind, the strategy is not trivial like the gimmicky cookie-cutter party's, but I guess it's true that cookie-cutter is more efficient at beating EO2 than any other group as the game is.

I guess they look alright. I just wish their skillset wasn't so bad compared to the others. Giving them an extra ~40% across the board or buffing Hell Cry by a bit would've been enough, too.

Brawn (260%) * Hell Cry (+70%) = 442%, higher than midareba, but requires a dead turn every 5 rounds like the fucking stances in the first game. Winds up being like 350% at absolute best, assuming battles end on a multiple of 5.

Anyone ever beat it with a chase-based party? I imagine having 2 gunners to chase actually deals good enough damage to make up for the fact that you're using a freaking L.
>>
>>79101032

I don't think skills are affected by troubadour enchants, so I'm not sure how you could make chasers useful. If you just had two gunners using their elemental shots, you would still get only 380% from your landsknecht chasing those, which is less than midareba, and of course your gunners would be losing huge amounts of damage from using elemental shots instead of ricochet.

autoattacks would work from the enchants (ie troub can self-buff or buff the healer), but T would be more useful for the 50% debuff on enemies. Also, the difference between Risk*shots and Ricochet isn't too large (340% vs ~425%, but it's got higher accuracy instead of lowered accuracy and gets boosted by any elemental debuffs ie Ifrit or Dampen)

Assuming the L uses Hell Cry on round 1 while the T or H debuffs, a WM buffs, and maybe the gunners get off a rior shot or ricochet, you can have your buffed-up L chasing 2 riskshots on subsequent rounds, and the T can contribute with a pitiful Blaze-buffed autoattack as well.

It's probably not as good as the cookie-cutter, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Especially if you use a fire-element weapon on the T so you don't have to waste a round buffing (salomox or whatever his name can be killed as low as like, mid-30's by a good party)

If you're using risk-elements, wouldn't it be better to fill the empty slots with a medic and a protector or survivalist? I don't see how you could get enough healing with a war magus or troubadour without the troubadour on constant item duty, and you need something to taunt Ur-child's begone anyway.

Gods, I haven't given this nearly enough thought for Ur-Child yet fuck off with the post-game stuff for now.

As for your first concern, I was thinking of farming up that Fire Imbued sword from Salo for the WM, then having the gunners alternate Riot Gun on rounds 2 and 3 while the other Riskshoots. That'll give 2 sources of chase damage (1 riskshot, 1 swipe from the WM) while the bosses are stunlocked by the riot guns. I'll think of more later.

I guess a Revenge Hexer can replace the T with a slightly weaker debuff but a much stronger attack.

Idunno, I'll test it out in-game one of these days.

Anybody interested in hearing how it goes in a later general?

If EOU, stop with Defender and Immunize. They only provide like a 25-30% damage reduction. Thunder Wing, sounds like Volt Wall would be helpful here. Or maybe a troubadour song that speeds up status ailment healing
>>
>>79108401
Why did people always suggest defender+immunize in the original game? Defender was a wasted buff slot most of the time with a maxed-out immunize. Shit's a percentage-of-a-percentage to physical damage, winding up at like 16% or something.

imo, it was just better to spam smite when antis weren't needed and have your troub sing a couple of songs (bravery and relaxing being the obvious combo for most things) while the medic handled immunize.

>They only provide like a 25-30% damage reduction.
That can be enough. If it drops a one-shot on a weak character to a two shot, or reduces the damage of an attack from more-than-can-be-healed-in-a-single-turn to healable-in-a-single-turn, it can be the difference between winning and losing.
>>
>>79110416
Defender wasn't that much extra reduction, but I think it was recommended to get it with immunize because it provided a lot more reduction for the first third or so of the game when immunize wasn't maxed yet, and after that point it was something to use just because you had it and protectors couldn't really do anything else besides smite and anti* as needed. 16% physical damage reduction on the entire party for 5 turns is nowhere near as strong as immunize, but it's not bad either. With a troubadour it is just a waste of a buff slot, but not everyone used one.

Alright these last posts are starting to get to me.

Immunize was ment for MAGIC DAMAGE REDUCTION ONLY, IT IS BUGGED IN EO1, THUS WAY OVERPOWERED.

This was fixed in EOU, it covered magic damage only and its damage reduction was lowered. If it was not bugged, why was it fixed in EOU.

And you, first Irenmopteroep guy who is stuck, get your ass some Volt Wall level 5 and use it every turn. Getting Paralyzed reduces your evasion to almost nothing and his followup attack which is a low acc multihit will destroy you. Front Guard after the Volt Wing.
>>
>>79112325
>If it was not bugged, why was it fixed in EOU
Maybe for the same reason they lowered its damage reduction, because they thought it was way too strong as it was in the original. Since EO has physical elements as well as magical elements, it's hard to really say whether "all elements" from the immunize description was intended to mean all elements of both types or only magical elements.

The distinction is between physical and magical, not physical and "elemental". Both physical and magical damage are split up into multiple elements - cut, bash, and pierce for physical, and fire, ice, and volt for magical.

And everyone else here is confusing damage types and elements thinking they are the same thing, they are not.

Slash, Bash and Pierce are considered damage types
Fire, Ice and Volt are considered elements
The game THINKS IMMUNIZE Slash, Bash and Pierce are elements.

A problem with the coding makes the game (and you for whatever reason, with facts in front of you and google at your fingertips) think Immunize is suppost to resist all elements.

Immunize is bugged. No more debating, go google it if you do not believe.
Immunize is bugged.

Still think I am fucking with you? Go use a Boosted Shelter on a dragon and see if you survive the breath/melee attacks.

These are facts.

Immunize is bugged. If it was not a bug as you are thinking, it would of been present in EOU, and it would of made it into EO2.

Immunize is bugged.
>>
>>79114494
Consider reading: elements are what is bugged coz they include phys types in. Why none other game in serie include phys types in elements? Becouse it was a bug and it was fixed.
immunize work as intended.
Also i think you confuse how imunize and shelter works.
Immunize makes you resist all elements (like you know in monster codex you have that weak resist thing for monster thats what it does) same as dampen makes everything weak immunize makes everything resist. its % based on dmg you deal/recieve.
Shelter just boosts your defence ofc it wont be as effective.
Use a little logic for your own sanity.
>>
>>79113697
Cut, bash, and pierce, just like fire, ice, and volt, are types of damage that enemies can resist and be weak to. The only functional difference between the two groups is whether they're mitigated by physical or magical defense, so if anything it would make more sense to have magical and physical be "damage types" and the subtypes of both be "elements".

Either way, if you read the description for immunize, it clearly says that it increases resistance to all elements. Maybe it is bugged and by elements they meant magical elements, or maybe they intended for it to defend against all physical and magical elements and didn't realize how ridiculous it was. I don't think anybody would try to deny that EO1 immunize is insanely strong and makes the game easy, but there's no way to know whether it ended up that way due to an oversight or a mistake. It's certainly not a problem with the code.

>>
>>79115108
Immunize is not bugged, and neither is the damage system. Either someone fucked up and set the resistances for immunize to everything instead of just magical elements or nobody tested the skill properly to find out that reducing all damage was absurdly strong. It wouldn't be the first time a skill was absurdly strong yet not bugged and still somehow overlooked (revenge, torpor, half the force skills in EO2, warrior might, imperials, action boost, etc.)

no EOU has a more ballanced version of immunize same as it has more ballanced versions of other skills the fact they were strong doesnt make them bugged and the fact they were fixed by ballancing them out doesnt make them bugged its just fixing ballance by making strong skills weaker and crap skills stronger at least by devs idea of ballance.

According to the game code, the elementalist class only has access to Fire, Volt, and Ice skills. Its clear from the Alchemist class design that Bash, Cut, and Pierce are not intended to be elements in Etrian Odyssey. It's the first entry in a niche game series that's know for having bugs (like the item duplication glitch in EOU, unsellable items in EO2, Speed Boost/Fan Dance bug in EO4, etc...). It's just a bug.
>>
I can't find anything saying Immunize was unintended or a bug on any Japanese sites, they all just describe that it covers all attributes of damage and that it's a game breaker in terms of difficulty reduction, they don't mention 'elemental' which is primarily used for the Fire, Shock or Freeze.

That's two "folders", not one, which is pretty damning against you. Also, disassembling code usually doesn't give you any of the names of variables in the source code, because that's superfluous data that can be encoded more compactly. Generally, a person spends a very long period of time figuring out what the disassembled code is trying to do and names the variables accordingly. Thus, those names are much more likely to reflect the disassembler's interpretation of the code than the intent of the original coders.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disassembler
>>
>>79125438
and those 2 "folders" are in 1 "folder" called elements or damage types in jap version.its one big group with smaller groups in it. Notice immunize saying element and reducing every damage. Thats how its translated. Deal with it.

Not working as intended = bug
Using said bug to your advantage = exploitation

Reasons why I know you know you are wrong is this, why did you not use other examples of bugs to prove that this is not a bug?

Is EO4s /bushi on everything a bug?
Is Warriors Might a bug?
Were Force Powers and endless Force from items a bug?

Facts: Elements are not stabbing, punching or cutting something. Gandolf himself would not summon a dagger to smite your ass. Merlin would not conjure up a staff to staff you with it.
Immunize did not get carried over to the second game, same engine, same rules, still bugged and left out (or maybe mechanics were to change, IE, no buff it and forget it)
Immunize did not get its godlikeness back in Untold, in fact. it does what it says, IE: not bugged.

i find it funny that you use strong but not bugged skills to compare to immunize wich is strong but not bugged yet you claim its bugged.
but let me bite:
-ronins arm bind skill in jap eo2 has 100%bind rate on lvl 1 and it goes down as you lvl it up. bug
-beasts loyality uses def of person your defending instead of beasts defence. bug
-immunize increase resistance to all attack types wich awas translated as elements .not bug as it does exactly what it says.

as far as i renember they fixed it in us version by making the skill not bind at all or making it realy low chance even at max lvl.But yea eo2 was a mess, lets be happy its being remade.

Nerfing bugged things is not nerfing them, its fixing them.
Nerfing Blood Death Knights in PvP in World of Warcraft because it was too powerful and it was for years, that is nerfing

Paladins in late Vanilla with stacking Reckoning to one shot a world boss that was never intended to be soloed? that is a bug that got fixed.

>>79128818
EO2 is just a fucking puzzle to me sometimes. You strengthen yourself in one area and weaken yourself in another. The Beast Maul is another one of these things. Your power goes up, but your acc and turn order goes down. I never used beasts that much and I cannot answer or argue your Loyalty point, I only remember them as Saliva bots who had a fairly strong auto attack and a special that made me sad on the inside and replaced them in strat 5 somewhere.

>>79129110
But.. if things get FIXED in EOU2.. good chance they were bugged in the original, ya?
>>
>>79129296
I don't really get your thought process here. The game files classify cut, bash, and thrust as elemental damage, Immunize is designed to reduce elemental damage, and yet you still say that it was bugged. What are you basing this off of?

If something is not working right, it is a bug. That is the thought process.
If Immunize was not bugged, it would of been in EO2
If Immunize was not bugged, it would of been as it was in EO1 in EOU.
By this logic (yours), Immunize in EOU is the bugged version. But its not.

>>79129804
Ice Block resisted all damage in EO2 as well, Ice Block is working as intended. A Mechanic to take down a bossfight. And, while I cannot remember clearly, Ice Block worked the same in EO3 where it resisted many types of damage as well. Ice Block point is invalid here.
>>

EO1: Immunize designed to reduce all elemental damage, cut, bash, and stab are classified as elements, Immunize reduces their damage, working as intended, though busted beyond belief
EO2: Immunize deemed too strong, removed from the game
EOU: Immunize nerfed to its current form

Maybe you are right, Survivalists in EO1 were also just as bugged and got fixed in the other games.. I mean its there, all evidence is there. Thank you for another point I can use for another time when this topic comes up again by another anon trying to get guaranteed replies.

And who the are you to say that this was intended? Why would a game design an all in one buff, and have two other buffs that only resist physical attacks? In fact... where is the element only buff to back up your argument that immunize as it is is intended? why dont defender/shelter also protect vs elemental attacks? why would I ask a question to the answer I already know?

Because Immunize is bugged.

Considering that cut, bash, and stab are in the game files classified as elements, I'm a bit more inclined to believe that over some self-important Anonymous poster.
>why dont defender/shelter also protect vs elemental attacks?
Because they only increase physical defense values. Think of it this way. Physical damage is an element, but magical (fire, ice, volt) elements are not physical damage, if that makes sense.

Doesnt Immunize just raise Element Resist Values and somehow carries over physical as well due to a bug and therefore it itself is bugged?

If, everything was considered an element, then Shelter/Defender would also protect vs "magical" attacks, but they do not, because they are working as intended and described. These carried over to EOU (not shelter, because it gained element resistances at the cost of being weaker then the both)

>Doesnt Immunize just raise Element Resist Values and somehow carries over physical as well due to a bug and therefore it itself is bugged?
No, which is what I've been trying to say this whole time. Cut, bash, and stab are physical as well as elemental. So, you use Defender, which increases physical defense, which lowers the damage of these three damage types. Since they are considered elements as well as physical damage, using Immunize further reduces their damage. In comparison, the magical elements (fire, ice, volt) are only classified as elements, thus only Immunize reduces their damage.

So, Immunize is working properly, defender/shelter are the ones that are presumably bugged. Because if every damage type is considered the same, defender/shelter would act as Immunize does?

So now that I see the light and know that bugged game mechanics are making immunize not work as intended, but immunize is working properly then what we all are doing is just exploiting?

Look, I know Immunize is bugged, if it was not, there would be a separate spell/ability that would only resist fire/ice/volt damage, but there is not. I only said the last little bit for one reason: I ran out of Ronin images that were SFW and I did not want to get banned for a nipple, exposed pussy, a tentacle ripping her apart, or beariality

Am I right in saying that Defender increase defense, so any attack which uses your defense be it Stab/Cut/Bash or a mix like Rising Strike should be reduced but since 'magic' (Fire/Ice/Volt) attacks use Tec as the defensive stat Defender doesn't help
While Immunize increases Attribute (elemental in the translation) resistance which lowers all damage, in the same manner a Bash accessory reduces bash, instead of increasing the users Def/Vit/Tec.
Or am I off by a mile?

Physical attacks are not elements. That one episode of Adventure Time where it was raining swords, then it might of been a physical element.

Defender/Shelter are working properly and as described, they reduce physical damage
Troubadour Songs and Protector Anti-* are working as intended and described
Immunize is working way more then described, and way more then intended, thus broken and bugged. And was fixed in EOU.

You are the troubadour in this pic, you try so hard but you know you cant use that bow very well at all.
I am the Ronin, determined and right
A few of the people here are the Gunner, trying so hard but nothing is going to come from it, you are about to die literally head first.
No one is the War-Magus because I have no idea what he is doing or planning to do
A few of you are the Hexer, ass out, facing the wrong way and trying to do something, just dont know what.

Yes, correct.
>Troubadour Songs and Protector Anti-* are working as intended and described
Also yes.
>Immunize is working way more then described, and way more then intended, thus broken and bugged.
This is wrong. It was intended to reduce all elemental damage, and that's exactly what it does. It was changed in EOU because it was too strong.

So, two physical, one all in one with no optional for all magical in EO1 is perfect and ok and not bugged in your eyes

But one physical, one magical, one all in one in EOU is... balanced? fixed? not bugged?

>>79137864
It does, actually. When you have a lot of typos and such like that, it really takes the sting out of what you were intending to do. I mean, you call others a try-hard when you yourself are not trying too hard to do so.

But, christ I been awake for almost 15 hours now and we been arguing about this for... 2 hours now? I need to goto sleep before I start playing Warcraft and fall asleep as a tank in lfr again. or worse yet, start playing EO2 again and fall asleep with the DS on and lose my progress

>>79138494
>perfect and ok
Don't put words in my mouth. I never said it was a good decision, all I said was that intended by the designers, which it was, and was subsequently changed in the remake, which it was.
Mainly all your argument boils down to is "it's bugged because it's too strong". You have yet to provide any evidence as to why it would even BE a bug, except by saying "well, why isn't this skill so and so", whereas there has been actual proof in the form of game files that shows that the interaction between cut, stab, and bash and Immunize intentional.

Maybe you really are actively trolling or whatever, but you need to know when to back down.

I'm the guy from this >>79105339 post, decided to start my elemental party today.

I'm going for:
L for chasers and war cry
T for elemental debuffs and bravery
WM for healing and warmight
G for risk*shots and riot gun and
H for frailty (it stacks with the T ones).

Originally I was going to go with 2 gunners instead of the hexer, but access to dampen when it's needed and Torpor for randoms (saves tp for the boss battles) was too good to pass up. I can't figure out what the fuck to make my hexer do on dead turns though.

First stratum looks like it'll be a bitch. I guess rushing Ice helps the most for the first couple of bosses, then volt when I have the points to spare.

What should I make my hexer do after frailty? Revenge is the obvious choice but it sort of invalidates the whole point of using elemental chasing. Does anybody have any experience with Evil Eye + Suicide on bosses?

Napkin math tells me I'll have a maybe 1-in-5 chance to land the Evil Eye on bosses (they've got around 25% the normal chance of statuses landing, and Hexers have like an 87% chance to succeed on normal fights).

I'll probably try evil eye + suicide and rest to revenge if it doesn't work.

Atlus didn't want to put in the effort for something that was unproven. Seems like the numbered entries still will better, but now that they have some idea as for how Untold was received, they're going to double down the Untold series' production values even more.

Immunize wasn't even specifically overpowered, it was just a really GOOD skill that made Medics useful.

I support most things that entail not having to use shieldfaggot classes.

>Ren & Tlachtga in EOU's Story Mode
>Stratum 1: Support you
>Stratum 2: Heal you
>Stratum 3: No sign
>Stratum 4: No sign
>Stratum 5: Nope

What's going on? I recalled them being more fleshed out way back in EO1 that I would be surprised with their last action.
>>
>>79190440
Yeah, in EO1 they gave you the stuff required to make ronins, and hexers, but now they're standard classes, so it got axed
>>
>>79190440
>Stratum 5: Nope
Wait, really?
>>
>>79190440
You got small dialogue moments on the first floor of each of the later stratums. Little multi-choice things that had no impact on the game, but humanized them a little bit.

They the impression that Ren was reluctantly serving her master and Tlachtga was worried, but too loyal to do anything about it.

Why do people say EO has no story? It's a pretty good story, too.
>>
>>79191632
I thought the story was a lot better than EOU's. Visil really didn't need even more suspect dialogue and glowing red eyes of doom, it was obvious enough with the way he was handled in the original that something was up with him.
>>
>>79192579
My thought process when he first shows up
>White-haired male
>Dark/red palette
>This guy looks trustworthy.
>>
Playing EOU, just starting out classic mode. Party is R/P/M/A/?.
Troubadour or Hexer for last slot?
>>
>>79193424
It seems slightly redundant to have a Troubadour and a Medic, but completely doable.
I'd recommend a Hexer but I'm sure either one will do just fine.
>>
>>79193795
Alright, I'm guessing I just max Evil Eye and the related curses to start?

I think it's fair to say that EO doesn't have a particularly strongly-in-depth narrative or anything, but I'd also disagree with the idea that EO has no story, be it 1, 2, 3, or 4.

EO isn't, like, DQ9, which has character creation and stuff, but the narrative is a bit more... something. The writer in me isn't actually sure how to describe it. But EO isn't Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, either (DCSS is just "there's a magic thing deep in the maze, go get it"), there's characters and little events and things to help flesh out and expand the world and characters more.

I think it's best put that EO in general has sort of a "light" story. It's hard for me to really describe. But I like it. A light story works best for a series that's meant to stir players' imaginations up, and I know a good number of the little scenes you can find in the dungeons in 4 have inspired me to draft some short stories about how they play out with my party, so to me that says the game's doing its job.
>>
>Ren takes a drawing stance
>Frigid Slash cleanly blocked with Ice Wall
>Heavily injured, not drawing a stance
>Suddenly, Frigid Slash

Why is this allowed?
>>
>>79195192
I'm right there with you, brother. As a DM, I've definitely taken inspiration from these games for some of my npcs or side quests. Mostly when I've had absolutely nothing planned for next week's session and severe writers' block stops me from coming up with something more original, but still.

It's really easy to ignore the story, but they do handle the twists and foreshadowing well. You never really find yourself surprised by the BIG TWIST if you actually take the time to chat up townsfolk or watch the little introductions. Drowned City's bar also had great dialogue from the adventurers sitting around to chat.

>>79195792
>Ren takes up a stance
>troub hits Erasure
>Ren gives no fucks, cuts you anyways

Did they fix that shit in EO:U?
>>
>>79194737
Ailments and Binds are fairly useless later on, get Sapping/Frailty on your hexer, max them out and then do whatever
>>
>>79195792
She does it on certain turns. Can't remember for sure, but I think it's the 2nd and 6th turns.
>>
>>79196059

I thought she has to assume a stance to pull that out. Else, I don't see the reason for her to do so in the first place when it's the most damaging attack in her arsenals.
>>
>>79196026
Evil Eye manages to stay useful for the entire game, you know. The landing chance decreases, and it's not like your Hexer is doing anything else after they apply debuffs. If Evil Eye lands, then you can just spam Suicide Word and end the fight.

>>79196170
She does need to be in the stance. She uses it a turn after assuming the stance and again a turn before she leaves the stance.
>>
>>79196325

Yeah, and just now, she pulls out Frigid Slash, without being in a stance. That's why I called bullshit.
>>
>>79196457
Oh, I see what you mean. She's actually still in the stance even if her model doesn't show it. It's like a buff. She doesn't leave the stance until you get the system message that Drawing Stance expired.
>>
>>79189218
say that again I will fight you.
>>
>>79196625

I pay close attention to everything happening within a turn, so I will see it if she has enveloped herself in a green aura.

She just got out from an arm bind, used the Slantwise Cut, then Frigid Slash on the other turn.
>>
>>79196815
Doesn't Slantwise Cut let you use any stance skill after you use it? Or is it just a thing that lets you move into stances afterward? Or something like that.
>>
>>79196815
If she used Slantwise, that may have been the reason. It lets Ronin use any stance skill after using it.
>>
>>79196709
Different anon here, but I used her as a smite-spammer throughout the main game. Defensive/healing skills were complete shit. Even if her attacks weren't that strong, she's cute as hell.
>>
>>79196953
>>79197060

So it's an attack move that allows one to assume stance. I sure have forgotten a lot of details in EO1&2.
>>
>>79197260
I use her as my teams light medic and tank.
she is what keeps our party going.
I think I fucked my teams skills on my first try though somethings are kinda scattered and we are at level 15.
>>
>>79195192
I think EO has just enough story to cover important plot points and stuff like that, but leaves a ton of room for the imagination to run wild with the setting.

This is coming from a guy that loves lore, so for me it's simultaneously a good thing and a bad thing - there's enough to get me wondering about how the world in EO works, but I need a stronger foundation on the Player Character's side to really dig into it and get immersed.

Protector in EO1, not needed. Smite isnt that great, defender is meh and anti-element skills are outclassed by a bugged immunize
Protector in EO2, much stronger. Anti-elements are more useful, Smite is much stronger, front guard is much more valuable
Protectors in EOU, almost goddess-like. Front Guard 10 allows for 3 dps in the frontrow abusing buffs like attack unit and bloody offense and anti-elements are more useful since they fixed the "Ailment attached to Element Attacks effecting you when it heals you" crap, now element attacks just heal you with no downside. Best protector right here

I never once touched anti-element skills when fighting Primevil.

Land, Medic
Survivalist, Troubadour. No 5th team member.

Troubadour kept the team healed (for the most part, a salve was needed now and again)and the Medic fed with various items, and restored TP to the entire team.

Boosted Immunize And Boosting Regen Song was all that was needed, after that it was just TP management. Sorry to break it to you, but anti-elements are not as needed with boosted immunize around. Broken as fuck and loved using it
>>
>>79200229
What about the dragons? Instant-death bullshit from one of the breath attacks iirc.
>>
>>79200229
A protector lets you do the same thing without grinding for Axcela IIIs. I'm not seeing how they're outclassed.
>>
>>79200396
Not a huge chance for them to happen, if they did, the medic was there, and the troubadour was there. And if it was total RNG fuck you in the face that you are worried about then reset and try again. Plus, trinkets/accessories are a thing. Jewel Eye for example.

>>79200704
because on how Immunize is broken, Immunize lets you resist everything, even physical. Fire and forget it until you need to refresh it. no need for a wasted turn on a Protector to resist one thing when the medic covers it all, allowing for a 5th dps for other fights (besides primevil and the 10 buff limit thing)

Who in their right mind maps stairs like that?
>>
>>79201181
Mapping shortcuts in the first game was always weird for me. I just painted the tile between the walls, but I didn't like the way that looked.

6th stratum was honest-to-god bullshit with the original tileset.
>>
>>79201376
I paint the tile and draw two walls in all the games. The two-way shortcuts are functionally just ordinary paths, so it seems natural to map them the same way.
>>
>>79199332
you are so wrong in so many ways.
best protector is blonde maiden.

And by two walls I mean that I end up filling in all four sides of the tile, in case that wasn't clear.

Hmm, I am a little worried about EOU2s story team. Maybe because I have yet to experiment with it but

The Hero class is not well known yet, might be elemental attacks, might not be
From a thread or two ago, it seems the Princess has elemental attacks this time around
The Protector might be cool if they retain most of the stuff from EOU1, or buff them in some way?
The War-magus is my second biggest worry.. she is going to have buffs, but with a princess who also has buffs and there will be no ailment producer for the other Warmagus abilities? Or maybe they got a total revamp, but still worrisome
Now my biggest fear is the Survivalist, they were trash damage in EOU, Multi-hit did as much damage as Longshot and sometimes less because one of the attacks in multi-hit would miss. Stag Shot did less damage then most other attacks since it took 2 turns with a low chance to stun. God damnit I hope they do something to buff Survivalists in EOU2

You draw maps as you see fit.

I still hate how notes are still limited in a 3DS game
>>
>>79202872
I hated mapping quests since they'd sometimes not register the weird way I mapped. I had to teach myself to map "properly" for those.
>>
>>79202251
What if the hero class is a hybrid between Landsknecht andHexer?
>>
>>79202251
It didn't seem like the princess had elemental attacks. Her elemental enchants just seemed to apply to the entire party or something.
>>

On it. Anything to add to the OP?
>>
>>79202251
Given the dude's outfit, it seems more likely to me that he'll be a Sniper rather than a Survivalist, so maybe it'll be a hybrid of the two? Frankly I'd much prefer a Sniper's skillset over a Survivalist's, but we'll have to see.
