I've been getting dumped on by the WARNING missions in CS mode, I would guess given the nature of the story they are meant to be surprise attacks since they are all long and start you off with zero upgrades. I've played a bit less in the past few days because I've been playing fighting games with friends a bit more and some Shantae.

Asteroid fields stuck inside warp gates are also the worst levels.

Ok. I have to assume the same applies to Arrange then.

If i beat the Stage 5's boss in Normal or 1.5 mode on original difficulty, will i also have to fight Aki afterwards?

It only appears in the Ultra and Arrange modes, no additional requirements. The Arrange mode has an easier version with slower attacks, and an easier final attack. In Ultra if you shoot at him while his bomb shield is active it shoots this super fast spray that will almost definitely kill you, so don't do it. But that also means you can't use the A button to focus until his shield goes away. Thankfully he doesn't have this in Arrange.
Your bomb is also taken away by bugs before it actually goes off, so it has no prolonged cancelling effect, all it does is cancel whatever bullets are currently on screen, and they come back almost immediately. By the time you're allowed to focus again the screen has already filled back up completely.

He's also way harder on Ultra 1.5 than the original game, his attacks are way faster and it's just silly.
>>
>>128566686
>>128568162
Thank you very much!

Alright, next i'll aim to finish Normal or 1.5 original.

Meh. Not that I have website brand-loyalty or anything, but I don't much care for sites where people can make their own sub-forums.
>>
>>128583213
How could we organize tournaments? Use something like Google Forms for submitting scores and have people attach replay/input files off their run?
>>
>>128586627

From what I remember from participating in a system11 batrider tourney years ago it's basically a local scoreboard with a time limit. You kind of have to trust people on their scores. Asking for a replay or a screenshot is okay as long as it's easy to submit.

1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iVX8pLmULk#t=0m36s how do you get these power-ups to give you a good score? Is it random or what?

Also, while I'm at it - man, the art direction took a pretty big hit between G-Darius and Burst. Graphically it's a clear update, the dated resolution & poly counts in G are obvious... but the color use and environments in G are top-notch.

Gaiden also looks great but 2D ages better like 90% of the time so it's not really a fair comparison.

On Arrange mode the most common strategy is to use strategically timed bombs to get inside the pattern and pointblank him. Then you move down right before the next wave appears and repeat.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jg6TIZ3nucQ
You can see it demonstrated here, but you can be even more aggressive and bomb just as the spawn point for the first wave has begun descending. Your invincibility frames will buy you enough time for the opening to appear in the middle and you can spend more time pointblanking him.

When you run out of bombs you kind of just have to try to dodge for as long as possible.

Ultra mode is more complicated. Most people use the easy strategy where you use timed suicides to scroll most of the pattern offscreen, but you can also use strategically timed bombs and positioning to manipulate the pattern into being the same thing every time, then you just have to memorize a way through. I've only actually seen this in action with the TGA-RET superplay but I started doing it in practice because I got bored with the first method. It requires very careful movement though because you only have a few pixels to work with during the first part of each wave. It's also easy to start shooting a little too early and trigger the return fire.
>>
>>128668872
What changes for Ultra, besides your shot being a bit less powerful?
>>
>>128669747
The first phase lasts longer and the bullets are faster, the second phase is much harder but you can skip it compeletely because he has no invulnerability after the first phase ends. The final attack is completely ridiculous and is designed so that you can only ever deal damage to Aki while you're dodging it, there's no time when Aki is vulnerable other than the beginning that you aren't completely surrounded by bullets. Or you can just cheese it with suicides.

It's okay as long as you eventually stop credit-feeding it, otherwise you'll never get to appreciate the game's challenge and thus get bored and stop playing it in short notice.

That's the main problem with credit-feeding. It gives people an empty or extremely shallow victory and makes them believe they're done with the game, thus killing 99% of the fun they could have with it.

I'm not really bothered much by others' insults, and I hate League of Legends in part for its tattletale culture. The biggest problems I have with League beyond that is me lacking the motivation to improve (I can accept that I suck but the game is not compelling enough for me to want to improve or continue playing) and the fact that I'm not much of a team player in the first place. I actually had a fair amount of success with DotA2, I just don't think the game is all that fun for a number of other reasons that affect mobas as a whole.

Honest question,

How long does it take you to 1cc a shmup on average?

From the minute you start the game for the first time to the moment you finish your 1cc run, how long does it take?

I'm curious because I've never tried to 1cc a game before.

I am currently trying to 1cc Metal Slug 3. I've done 3 entire playthroughs of the game now with plenty of deaths in between. How long until I can 1cc it?
>>
>>128717534
Depends on how seriously I take it. If I hunker down and focus my efforts on one game, it takes roughly a week or two for "normal" or "hard" 1ccs. Otherwise it takes about a month or two.
>>
>>128717534
That depends on the game. Some games might take days, some weeks, some months and some might even take years. My longest 1cc took me around 2 years of somewhat casual play and I did my fastest 1cc in a single day.

The monitors aren't particularly expensive. ~$140 each on Amazon. They only have 10ms lag and look great, no glare plus IPS for better viewing angles, perfect for TATE setups. If you're super crazy you can debezel them to cut down on the space in between them, but it doesn't bother me.

There is no "average" since it heavily depends on how hard and long the game is and the player's prior experience with shmups like it.

Some are a walk in the park while others are a massive pain in the ass, with big middleground since each shmup has its own gimmick or particularity that differenciates it from the rest.

Touhou is still pretty difficult. Just not as difficult as lots of other shmups. It honestly depends on how you compare games with each other.

For example if I used a scale of 1 to 10 and I would rank SPS' route in DOJ and getting a 2-ALL with 2.1b+ score as a 10.

Then not even a Psikyo 2-ALL would rank as a 3 on that scale. A Touhou lunatic 1cc might be around 1.3 or something and a generic Ketsui Ura 2-ALL would be around 4.5.

The difficulty of most modern games is so negligible, they wouldn't even leave the 1 zone.

Opinions and stuff man.

Here's how we're going to make STG great again:

>grab a bunch of dedicated streamers and make a show about the games

Already done. Now we have 3 ways to reach the gaming community and drop this cult status:

>approach the speedrunning community and convince them to host score tourneys on their events.

This is the easiest way. Problem is, speedrunning community is majority consisted by autistic white kids with deep sexual issues so we may bring third wave feminism/SJW drama to our games.

>approach the fighting game community and convince them to host score tourneys on their events.

This is hard because fightans community is very reclusive and play fighting games only. Also shmups lacks "hype" so it may be hard to convince the negroes that the game is good. Good thing about it is that we may see japanese superplayers more often.

>create our own community by merging with another cult game (OSU/rhythm games for example)

This is risky and not really viable because we're dealing with autistic neet weeaboos here, however is the fastest way to achieve the 3rd step which is

>drop the second class citizen status and start creating our own tourneys

There you go! Of course we need someone with both money and time to work on that, so convincing one of those system11 overlords may be a start.

I feel kinda bad for the Darius series. I recently got into it and I'm having a fucking blast, it's not just that the gameplay is fun but it's also super-atmospheric and has an identity of its own with the music, art direction and general theme in a way that other shmups that I still love don't quite manage to approach.

And yet I'm too fucking poor to support Chronicle Saviours, and while in a way I feel kind of guilty that I'm not giving back to something that brought me genuine joy in a shitty time of my life; especially since I'm seeing that the general internet reaction to this series outside of the shmup clique (and sometimes even within it) seems to be that these games are decent at best and garbage at worst. On the other hand I think pricing a game like this so highly is a terrible idea.

CS mode actually makes this a perfect shmup for newbies to get accustomed to the genre, moreso than replaying the first stages of Gaiden and G until you get good. And yet they seem to be counting on making money solely on the the hardcore, existing Darius fan audience when I think they could snag a lot of the mainstream types who are now trying out the cheaper Steam games like Mushihimesama, Ikaruga and whatnot.

So... I dunno, what should I do? Wait until I'm in a better monetary situation (I found a way to make money, I'll probably be in a far better situation in a couple months) or wait until the price goes down?
>>

To finalize this I guess my main issue is that this series is just gonna die out, remembered by a tiny fanbase and remembered by general gaming audience as sheer mediocrity and that I'll be partly to blame for it. I even pirated my copy of the second Taito arcade collection.

Everyone is too poor to afford CS, onee-chan.

Also, right now I'm interested in CS, SFV and Dragons Dogma but I can only afford one, two if I prostitute myself. I know poverty very well.
>>
>>128887907
It's really too bad they went with that $50 price tag. I guarantee they'd make more money if they went with something like $25 or $30
>>
>>128888358
That's my point though. I feel that this game doing well could do something to revitalize the series but god damn is it expensive compared to other good shmups on Steam. Right now I'm having more fun with this series than the others, but that's not how typical audiences will think, they'll just get another game that's also good.

And like, sure, it has a lot of content, and is longer than the average shmup... but ultimately shorter games still offer a VERY similar experience; you'll still be playing the shit out of something like Mushihimesama until you get close to perfecting it or actually do perfect it. The difference is that the many missions in Chronicles mix things up while in, say, Gaiden you're just repeating the EXACT few stages while learning new things every time. The CS Mode way of dealing with the whole "learning the game" aspect is more accessible, but the audience that cares for accessibility is not gonna pay 50bux for a game just to try out a genre.

And with the people saying dumb shit like "I'm not buying this shmups aren't worth money because they're a simplistic genre with no depth unlike true AAA releases" it just makes things more awkward. I mean yeah they're right, it's too expensive, but that's not the reason god dammit.

I'll also say that I only really researched the general reaction to the Darius series in the English-knowing Western games community and I have no idea how much Japan cares about it these days. I have no idea how to check user scores and whatnot or what popular Japanese gaming sites with stats are; that one ship waifu is popular on Pixiv but I do wonder how many of them actually play the games.

I just don't want the series to die, is the thing. It seems like a valuable franchise to me but only a tiny group considers it so and Degica are not making any effort to bring in more audiences.
>>

Wait until you're in a better monetary situation and the game's price is no longer an issue to you, then buy it (which by then might be cheaper).

From what I gather the shmup community-approved ones are Gaiden, G and Chronicle Saviours. Those are the only ones I played so far (yeah I pirated the latter hence feeling a bit guilty)

The older ones from what I gather are not very well-liked, but I'll play them eventually because I don't really trust what people consider "bad games"; I can't think of a shmup I like but people hate, but as for an arcade example I genuinely think the arcade Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun (Renegade in the west but I prefer the "high school delinquent getting revenge for his dumbass friend" theme) and would honestly recommend people to emulate it or get it as part of some arcade collection.

A problem with Darius 1 & 2 though is probably the widescreen arcade set-up; emulating them probably feels like playing Arcade Mode in DBCS on a normal monitor. But I'm sure there would be something to like in them, I've heard songs from them and I actually prefer some of the sprites to their Gaiden equivalents; as I said earlier, Big Thing looks way more menacing in the first game and less like a cartoon villain.

Do you mean visually or gameplay-wise? Because if it's gameplay-wise then I'm a shmupbaby and I can't really judge the difference between a good Cave boss and a bad Cave boss, they all seem cool to me. Visually? I... honestly disagree. Stuff like that works fine with the weird cutesy childish look of everything.

I just wish Cave dropped the pre-rendered poor-man's-Donkey-Kong-Country thing with the sprites, it just feels bizarrely out of a place for a game not made in the 90s. But then modeling detailed sprites takes time and good spriters are probably more expensive than 3D modelers.

That may depend on how difficult the game is and how good are you at shmups. It may take a long time to 1cc a shmup, but it feels satisfying once you do it.
Also, scoring or superplays are even more skill-demanding, so 1cc's look like basic shit.

go play Suguri or Sora. No continues: you die, you end up at the title screen. No guilt over using continues.
You can play each stage individually though.
>>
>>128916398
Using continues is fine for the first time playing to see the stuff that the shmup you'll play offers. If you do it too much, you'll just waste your time, so you'll need to use save states/practice mode to work on individual stages or maybe even specific sections. That way, you'll save on time and your frustration.
>>
>>128916398
Using 30+ continues means you're dying a hell of a lot, you probably need to work on your fundamentals a little. Bullet leading, enemy leading, bullet reading, good hitbox awareness, good movement control, basic routing and memo, all that stuff. It all comes down to practice in the end, stick it out with a game for long enough and you'll see improvement.

I used to be a credit feeder. now I typically beat a game with 1 continue. I've not put more than 8 hours into a single shmup. you just get better as you play more, but also you have to force yourself a bit. you won't get too much better if you keep credit feeding

what part of the screen are you looking at most of the time? your eyes should be just above your ship and you should be thinking where bullets will be in the next second or two so you know where it's safe to move your ship

Ok, where to begin:

>Are hardcore shmup players fucking insane?
Hardcore players are mostly autistic world record aspiring score players or game company employees that produce superplays, solely 1ccing shmups doesn't make you one.

>Just how many hours/days/years do you have to practice to do something like that?
It greatly depends on the game and the player's prior experience with the genre.

On one hand each shmup is unique and presents its own challenge, which might differ a lot in difficulty compared to another (e.g. It's not the same 1ccing a Touhou and 1ccing Radiant Silvergun or Ketsui), and on the other the time and effort required heavily depends on the player not only because each person's reflexes and memorization skills, but also because pretty much all shmups share some things (such as some super basic bullet patterns like linear aimed shots) which encourage a common of tactics that work against them (such as "streaming" or "cutbacks"), thus while each game demands its own share of learning and memorization, some player skills and tactics transfer from game to game.

>It doesn't even seem possible to me.
Usually what happens is that a new player finds a shmup that he really likes it and he plays it until he can one credit clear it, then moves to other games.
If you're a complete novice, and by that i mean you had never played a shmup until a few months ago, then even the easiest touhou could take you like half a year. But you do have at least a bit of experience with the genre, so i guess if you really want you could play an easy shmup you like or on a very easy difficulty and keep playing it until you manage to do it.

>Fuck, guess I'm staying casual.
And that's perfectly fine. The point of playing video games is to have fun. No point in doing something you don't really enjoy to impress a clique of neckbeards.

Whether you can or can't 1cc one game boils down to if you have or haven't fond a shmup fun enough to play a lot.

These ports are generally not terribly expensive to make, so a lot of what they sell is purely profit. Plus they don't have to print any discs whatsoever for Steam. Even just a few thousand sales could be considered a profitable success and spur them to make more ports

this is why you should buy Dariusburst AC

>Whether you can or can't 1cc one game boils down to if you have or haven't fond a shmup fun enough to play a lot.
Darius Gaiden might turn out to be this for me, well I might like G better if I didn't suck horribly at it but it's way too fucking hard. With Gaiden I actually feel that it's POSSIBLE to 1CC if even on the easier routes.
>>
>>128972808
As of now Zone G is the thing that's pisses me off the most and it's supposedly on the "easy" route; many of the other "harder" stages I played I actually find much easier and the stage itself is honestly harder than its boss (Prickly Angler). I think the stages with obstacles are the biggest challenge for me here because I'm used to bullet hell shmups where you don't have to take that into account. Not to mention, often often AVOIDING a bullet hell situation in this game is the better way out.

I've actually ruined some very good runs with a great score (by my standards) by just bumping into the stage like a dumb fag because my mind associates "shmup" with "thing where you only pay attention to enemies". Since like 2008 I've only played bullet hells whenever I was in a shmuppy mood unless maybe the occasional Sexy Parodius replay counts.

King Fossil is a very easy boss by Gaiden standards, even his sprite makes him look less menacing than he looked in the original game (though I dunno how he is in that one as I've not played it yet lol).

Play G-darius and get to the second stage on the lower route; Queen Fossil is a fucking AMAZING, super-spectacular and over the top boss battle that you need to witness. It's one of those massive screen-filling bosses where you fight different parts of it as you go along, like Titanic Lance in Gaiden. It's also fucking hard as shit and I couldn't beat it without using continues once.

It's also an artistically beautiful fight, with great composition sense to make everything feel epic as hell, very fitting eerie music and a moment where it jumps away from the "ocean" of orange clouds in an extremely well animated way.

G-Darius is too hard to be playable to me, but god damn is its presentation beautiful. Gaiden too, it's as epic as a 2D game could feel; G is as epic as a 2.5D game could feel. Both take advantage of their visual medium hella well.

Storm Causer is my favorite boss but it's gonna take a ton of practice to beat him without using a credit once... hell, even to get there without using a credit. Actually it was seeing Storm Causer on Youtube that got me into this series; I thought "holy shit, you're fighting a giant mecha ogrefish in the middle of a fucking tornado that HE created! to bizarre music that involves opera singing! This is some fucking Libera Me From Hell shit and THINGS LIKE THIS ARE IS WHY I LOVE ARCADE GAMES."

His mech design isn't that great, just a recolor of Golden Ogre... but the set-up and build-up for the fight, the way his surfacing syncs to the music... FUCK, what a great bottle.

It was the same awesome feeling I got from the final boss of metal Slug 3,albeit downplayed because of the whole "major depression" thing.
>>
>>128973415

I've also played it on MAME and I don't get the complaints people have about emulation. It runs silk smooth as long as you have a non potato CPU. It may have 1-2 more frames of input lag and slowdowns might not be 100% accurate, but it's still good enough to fill the void while waiting for the steam port.

Since I managed to steer the conversation towards Gaiden I'm gonna ask this again >>128591179 especially since after playing Chronicle Saviours I saw that game STILL has those mysterious grey power-ups.

I have no fucking idea how to get a good score from them. It seems to be something about picking them up at the right time, as if you have to count down the seconds or milliseconds after releasing them, but I DON'T KNOW. It doesn't seem totally random but it also does, in a way.
>>128974368
I forgot to say that the reason I posted that was because Prickly Angler owns and to link this (don't worry about 'tumblr gifs', they're offsite) http://animatedscreenshots.tumblr.com/post/17906255312/darius-gaiden

Also, the Ogres... they look artistically great in 2D traditionally-hand-drawn-from-scratch-form, but kinda lost some of their visual appeal in the game where it's obvious they had to trace over 3D models to get the effect they wanted. Still, it's understandable; doing all those elaborate animations would have been EXTREMELY time-consuning in 2D, and time is money.
>>
>>128974803
At least they painstakingly drew their insides even though you see them for a fraction of a second. So they still put crazy effort into SOME part of him.
>>
>>128965882
Well at least in the case of mushi and deathsmiles, they had already put most of the money and work into them from the 360 ports, so porting to pc cost them pretty much nothing.

What's the absolute easiest, babiest route to 1CC in Darius Gaiden? I was told going straight A-Z is that, but that's the one that ends with Great Thing; during one of my early "just put coins in to see the game" routes when I had just started playing (I forgot what the route was) the final boss was Odious Trident, who was a pathetically easy motherfucker by final boss standards. So clearly diagonal A-Z can't be the easiest route, right?

>>
>>129016150
>>129016397
Generally, when you're given the choice between two levels, the one on top will be the easier choice. However, if you find you're struggling with that you can always just play around and see what order you find easier.
>>
>>129017254
Yeah, I can't really agree with that. It took me fucking eons to get the hang of Zone G and even then I can't make my way through it without use of bombs. Other "harder" stages are actually easier as far as my ability goes.

To be fair though, maybe I just need practice dealing with obstacles. For like a decade I've only played bullet hells with no walls or stage hazards to avoid

Also, will anyone answer my question of "is the score you get from the little grey balls in the Darius series random"? I can't figure that shit out and those godforsaken things are in all 3 of the Darius games I've played.
>>
>>129016053
MoF is the easiest, followed by TD and then IN because of how easy it is to deathbomb in that game.
>>
>>129016053
PCB, because its gimmick can either make you want to play for score or gives you a free hit/bomb, but it won't give you bad habits like the deathbomb window in IN.

So that's where they got the idea for Normal Palm, the shittiest shot type in Futari by a large margin.

Formation doesn't even work like that in Mushi, in 1.0 the spread width is changed by focusing and unfocusing and in 1.5 they just automatically lock on to nearby enemies, a mechanic that manages to be even shittier than Palm's option behaviour.

Oh and if you have trouble with the tiny round bullet things he throws https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcQX_5CayXQ#t=6m41s (ignorant touhoufag uploader and not very good playthrough, but it should get the job done)

dodging them is very context-sensitive. Sometimes it better to just go around them, sometimes it helps to remain in the middle.

Beyond that, the purple things are not an issue if you have the piercing green shot, but require a little more attention if you don't. Everything else should be self explanatory and just a matter of fast reflexes.

>>
>>129023598
I FUCKING HATE THE LITTLE JUMPING MECHS SO MUCH. Twice in Zone G they just fall from the fucking top of the screen onto you with which is utterly unpredictable.

Zone G is annoyed me so much I just decided to savestate at the beginning and practice that way. I know it's cheap but fuck it. The Fatty Glutton stage after that is challenging but in a fun way, G is just torture to me.
>>
>>129024128
>>129023598
Also, my cheap baby way of dealing with that stage is using a bomb when the first walker mech & tadpole clusterfuck happens, then another right before the second bunch of tadpoles comes up (the one one where lowest one has a shield pick-up) when the bipedal hopping mechs are firing at you. Otherwise it requires really skillful dodging, and while I've done it without bombing it's not something I want to risk most of the time especially at my newfag skill level.

>>
>>129025385
I can't tell if you're trolling or making an honest request in a trolly way so

G does some interesting stuff that you couldn't do in a fully 2D game and has great art direction, miles above the pre-rendered sprites in a lot of Cave games

Gaiden has great 2D sprite work

They have fun gameplay and very interesting and unique presentation and it all comes together to create a fantastic atmosphere
>>
>play dodonpachi for the first time
>complete it in 20 something minutes

Is it really that short or is there something wrong with the rom or something? I didn't see any credits, just some guy telling me the battle is over and shit. Damn, donpachi was like double that.

Also, I got a lot of slowdown, is that right? Mame says it has no problems with it and my pc is good.
>>
>>129025781
A single loop in DDP takes about 20-30 minutes, so you're good. The slowdown is just a CAVE thing; where other bullet hell games have a lot of slow bullets, Cave have "relatively" fast bullets but the game slows down when a lot of them are on screen.

Yeah. It's just not coming soon enough. I don't even hate Deathsmiles at all (I can deal with little witches, and I recalled only playing Rosa anyway). But if given a choice between the two, I'd pick DDP-DFK + Ketsuipachi DLC (not sure this particular DLC was released outside of Japan).

Ah, fuck it. That argument's over and done with.
>>
>>129025717

i'm a walking caveshit strawman
>>
>>128986718
I had a similar thing happen to me

in Ikaruga I had a high score of about 800k in normal mode. I went from having 2 friends with Ikaruga and being below both of them to having 8 friends and being above 2 of them I think. in my first run of the day I beat my high score and now only have 1 friend above me

I then proceeded to die to the first boss multiple times on other runs, but that's not the important part
>>
>>129025781
Unlike Donpachi, Dodonpachi doesn't let you into the second loop unless you qualify for it with 1cc plus one of the following
>collect all the bees in at least 4 stages
>no more than 2 deaths
>270 hit chain
>50,000,000 points
>>
So is Dariusburst legit good?
>>
>>129031432
Is Donpachi a completely free 2nd loop or does it require 1cc?
>>
>>129031914
It's good but I'm gonna wait before buying it either to be in a better monetary situation or for the price to go down (pirated lol)

Gaiden and G have far better art direction though
>>
>>129032305
If you credit feed it still loops but there's no '7 years later' cutscene. I don't know if the TLB still appears at the end or not.
>>
>>128974803
>grey power ups
Yeah, they're score items. Rather than sit on the screen like most other power ups they circle around a point. And you're right again, their value changes as they circle around. iirc they're worth the most whenever they're the furthest forward (3'oclock) and worth the least when they're furthest back (9'oclock), and somewhere in the middle between both of those. Value keeps cycling up and down as they spin, no big time pressure.

If you get big numbers you're doing it right, and if it's iirc 51200 then you nailed it

I should play Darius more even if just for the great soundtrack and hilarious boss names
>>
>>129032305
>>129032830
Actually, it looks like this is incorrect. I only ever credit fed the Hong Kong version, I guess the dialogue is just missing entirely from that version whether you 1cc or not, but it's still there on the Japanese version. So it looks like 2nd loop has absolutely no requirements.

Noob question because I must be missing something. Holding down the fire button in Mushihimesama makes you move slower and displays where your hitbox is, autofire is a shoot button you can hold down if you don't want the move-slow-for-weaving-hails-of-bullets stuff or is there more to it.
>>
>>129048901
That's pretty much it. You can also tap the fire button to move around without being slow. If you hold autofire and tap fire (or use the optional "rapid fire" button, as opposed to the "rapid autofire" button), you get more damage out of your familiars.
>>

Arrange mode starts you at full power, you use that to get through the first 3 stages then use your extra resources to glide through to stage 5?
>>
>>129049938
Arrange mode has a much steeper difficulty curve since it starts you off with more power than you can ever get in a regular run, but then puts more in front of you later. Normal original the difficulty curve is far more lax, but starts out harder because your relatively quite weak by comparison.
