I hate to be the stick in the mud here but we have enough people playing it already and in the ocean of (deserved) praises F4 is getting, one point remains really silent because no one has really anything good to talk about it: the writing and the roleplaying elements

Maybe i'm one of the weird guys that like my rpgs to have some good writing and effective choices, but so far of all the good stuff F4 is being praised for, those elements are still not being mentioned and after watching a stream with the whole Preston/Minutemen transcription i understand why.

The writing or freedom hasn't improved one single bit. It's still Fallout 3 tier.

The game is still a blast to play and my xbone copy is sitting tight just waiting release day, but i'm honestly disappointed that Bethesda couldn't improve their storytelling a bit. Sure, many people will think that the voice acting (which is GREAT - i cannot stress this enough, apart from the radio DJ the voice actors do a great fucking job) would do the job alone but it really don't. Fallout 4 is feeling like an awesome game... but an average RPG. I can't help but feel sad if this is the direction the series is going to take and i understand anyone who disagrees with me but still. They made a great game and just a bit more of effort in the writing department could have made it legendary - here's hoping they improve it for the DLCs like they did for F3 (apart from Anchorage and Zeta of course) at least.

This doesn't mean the game is bad in any means - au contraire, the gameplay is AMAZING and the crafting system is so fucking good i can't wait to tinker with it myself - but the point still needs to be raised.

It's a middle ground between Fallout 3 and FNV from what it looks. Combat looks a bit improved from what it seems, and the crafting looks pretty good. Writing definitely seems like it's improved quite a bit from Fallout 3.

Yes. Stalker on Master you're basically an NPC with a camera strapped to its head. It makes for more realistic gun battles with other human enemies. Obviously I',m not going to fuck up monster health.

It could have been made even simpler with the workbench system. Every part has its durability, and it can be repaired by dipping into the aggregate resource pool of materials you got.
