I just played a game vs a team with a medic and a nova on ours. Nova kept trying to kill the butcher, who obviously just killed her because nova can't fucking kill a butcher solo, especially not with the non-decoy build. She never, ever, not even once, attacked the medic. Even if the medic and the butcher were together, she went at the butcher.

It's not even that. It's more like a CoD clone with overpowered cooldown skills.
I say CoD clone vs TF2 clone because CoD gameplay is all about "see first, kill first" while TF2 is actually about moving around to avoid fire. Damage values in Overwatch are insanely high, if you catch someone who didn't see you at first you'd have to miss a LOT to not kill him first. That's exactly what made TF2 good, outside of snipers and demomans there were very little scenarios where you'd just get gibbed without being able to turn it around.

Blind is good against AA heavy heroes, I give you that. But the current high level Thrall meta is to build heavy into chain lightning to get sustain and poke. If youre against a team with no lockdown or blinds you can go WF and just rape everything, but the opportunity is rare. Ive found going the chain lightning build vs blind is totally viable. If you get blinded, step back and poke and try to land a firefox. The time it takes you to CL + fox the blind will be off and you can go back in. You are right that blind is a hard counter to him though, but it doesnt put him in a hopeless situation like it does raynor or other heavy AA heroes.

I see that so often, people giving up seasoned marksman for fucking chain lightning mana. I don't get it. Going full windfury + marksman + manatide, you will never have mana problems and you have insane burst. At level 20, a single windfury does 2000+ damage, you heal for shittons during it, and it has a short CD.

Without burst? You joking? The overpower combo with thrall can drop 4k+ damage at level 20. in about 4 seconds. Any stun into firefox is enough time to burst down any non-super tank warrior, ive done it hundreds of times. My buddy plays tyrande a lot and if he lands a stun on someone late game, they are 100% dead. By the time his stun has worn off im already in their face and they are locked down by firefox. Its a guaranteed kill on almost anyone. If you think thrall has no burst youve never played against a good one. Id put him in top 10 best burst heroes easy.

Just play with your team, learn when it's safe to go in. You get blinded? Use your chain lighting. You get stunned? You fucked up by running into a stun. Play with your team, learn to position well so they're forced to blow shit on your tank rather than you. Sometimes you do get focused, and then you can either try to outheal it with your windfury and a wolf on creeps and some lightning, or you just speed the fuck out of there. As a thrall you're only an initiator in the sense that sundering is super good at splitting their team up if you get a good angle.

CL builds are a crutch for people who don't know when to engage and would rather sit behind their team and shit out a small nuke every other while. It's wasted on thrall, because
1. other heroes do that better
2. thrall can actually be tanky as fuck with his selfheal, so you're effectively putting yourself, a hero that isn't THAT squishy, behind the squishies of your team simply because you don't ever wanna get targetted.

WF build is theoretically better. I agree 100% that if youre not being focused or blinded, that WF build is just 100% better than the CL build in every way. My only argument is that the CL build is more well rounded and safe, something that is a big benefit when solo queuing HL.

You missed the part about "when youre not auto attacking, youre dying" when using the WF build. You cant self heal while blinded since you rely on your AA's for most of your self healing. You keep making false assumptions that the CL build just sits back and throws CL from the back line, which isnt what it does at all. You still dive in and engage with your warrior, the play style is mostly the same as the WF build, its just that you dont instantly die when youre stunned or blinded. With the CL build, your CL hits 5 targets which is a full round of your self heal ticks in one ability, AND it has two charges, meaning your constantly self healing. Id argue your JUST as tanky with the CL build as you are with the WF build. You are using your CL in melee to proc follow through during your burst combo, so its always bouncing around healing you. Also, int he CL build you can grab spell shield, which is a HUGE defensive bonus. WF cant get spell shield which makes you much squishier.

The point is that you can either take a build path that lets you be a standing autoattack turret (which is really situational and CAN be good) that only uses overkill to chase or you take a build path ignores auto attacking and you'll be using overkill for damage only, since it has good mobility.

Tychus is actually a really cool hero. I'm not sure why everyone always moans about his trait. Yes, it's not good if you're not going AA build. Yes, overkill can decrease your DPS if you're going AA build and use it at the wrong time.
Why is that bad? It makes him a bit harder to play, but not worse. Yes, his stutter step is shit because he attacks so fast, but what's your point? why does every single ranged assassin have to stutterstep and AA chase?

Im not a thycus player, but ive seen the complaints and ill try to lay it out for you in a way that makes sense:

Right now, tychus' trait makes his AA go faster and faster the more you use it. The only way to use his AA is to stand still. Since it happens so fast, you cant stutter step like other ranged heroes. Other ranged heroes stutter step during the brief cool down on your AA. Since the CD on tychus' AA is so tiny, theres no time to stutter step between shots. This means that any time you spend stepping is time you COULD have been AAing. So this is one major issue with his kit, he cant perform SIMPLE mechanical stuff that other ranged assassins can, putting him at a disadvantage.

The next major issue, is that overkill is a spell, not a auto attack. This means that if you go for a full AA build, all of those talents are wasted while you are channeling it. Since his AA requires you to stand still, the only way to take advantage of his AA talents is to stand still and get hit by AoE. Another problem is that while channeling overkill, his talent is doing nothing, making it completely useless.

No, it just doesn't work during overkill.

Look at it this way.
Overkill = autoattack damage while moving.
AA = autoattack damage while standing still, with the potential to be HUGE damage if you get the talents for it.

Tychus just isn't a hero where you faceroll all the damage skills you have. If you go AA build, you don't use overkill at all in some engagements. It's a conscious choice you need to make. Mobility vs damage.

Dancing around poking with CL looking for a good opportunity to dive in is exactly the best way to play thrall against a team with good CC. I agree with you completely. The CL build also has amazing burst, especially when in melee range. Luckily, theres plenty of CC in this game that gives you the opportunity to get in close and blow someone up.
