>Note to self; In times of way, keep alert, even on Sundays...
One of the three Northampton Sisters, and apparently the one who gets into trouble a lot
>Goodbyes are not forever. They simply mean I'll miss you until we meet again!
She was a tough little ship ;_;7
Thats Enterprise bro
>You're wrong! The future doesn't happen by random chance. It happens because we will create it!
>A Medal? I refuse. No need for medals, sir. Duty doesn't need to be rewarded.
Second american Carrier ever made, is 4 tiers higher then the Carrier it replaced.
>No worries sir. I promise the next one'll come home in one piece
Second of the Northampton Sisters - running gag that no one knows how to pronounce her name correctly
>The study of history lies at the foundation of all sound military operations.
...except in relation to WoWS
Thats too bad, I quite like it. But thats because I'm a diehard burger - this game converted me from being a hopeless IJN fanboy
I countering your rape spam, rapepammer.
>You know, it would be nice if I've got an air defense station...
First of the two Omaha's.
I enjoy being an underdog. Makes wins and gains that much more enjoyable.
Only Colorado, and a real shame there are no New Mexico's
>You want me to retreat? How about no.
Last of the Northampton sisters. Chester and North look like boys to me.
shipgirl designs crack me up because when you think about warships you normally think of stuff like huge guns and thick armour and hundreds of people onboard working to keep all the systems in check then you see these tiny little moe girls with ship bits stuck to their arms and legs
>Commander...Sorry I won't be able to give you...that dance I promised...
>Her first duty was to assist in the USAAS's first aerial circumnavigation of the world.
>Raleigh was moored at berth F-12, on the east side of the north channel at Pearl Harbor, when the Japanese made their surprise attack. In the first attack wave a torpedo passed ahead and a second hit Raleigh portside amidships. The cruiser took such a list to port that it appeared she might capsize. As crew jettisoned topside weight to keep her upright, her gunners helped to destroy five Japanese planes. Several of her crew were wounded, but none were killed.
Served during the war a decommissioned in september of 45
>I'm okay, commander! I'm okay! They just got my magazines. I'm okay...so please...don't worry!
>Shaw sustained major damage from multiple bomb hits by Japanese forces during the Attack on Pearl Harbor. The spectacular explosion of her forward magazine provided one of the most iconic photographs of the attack. She was repaired within a few months of the attack, and served in the Pacific through the rest of World War II, earning eleven battle stars.
Heres that iconic picture that was mentioned.
She was detonated, and repaired, returned to service at the end of august of 42.
I really do think DD's should get health pots.
Anyway, I've got more of these, but I'm gonna stop - the rest are for ships that don't exist in the game, classes that we might see in the future though.
I know that feel.
Hotel provokes all kinds of funny feelings in me.
The REAL 0.5.1.0 patchnotes: http://pastebin.com/GjgqJWWL
and here's the 0.5.1.0 tech tree mod, because the previous version is incompatible
Unfortunately no, but I have Langley, Hornet, and Yorktown
>The REAL 0.5.1.0 patchnotes
Didn't have the link at the time, sorry senpai
So, with WG planning on making a 2nd IJN CV line, would the USN get one too? They made a lot of CV's, but most of them were the same class.
Also, Enterprise premium when?
but I get more from her sister to be honest, family
What I am getting from this is that they have substantially changed how the game itself handles speed/engine power, or at least massively consolidated it.
Also a slight buff to IJN cruiser speed.
They also changed a lot of the flooding params to be much higher which we of course knew.
I'm gonna notepad++ this shit to get a clearer picture without all these fucking "removed"s
>Jewel of the Polish navy
That's fucking hilarious.
God the updated IJN CV spread is FUN! Seriously missed it from CBT! (Little different of course, but similar.)
Also, despite being against a Bogue and Langley, I didn't feel the same plane rape as prior to the patch.
By which I mean I actually tied a fighter langley for plane kills! (11, bogue had 22)
That changed fighter T3 perk was a horrific nerf/balance to USN planes it would seem?
No more 100% placebo IJN Fighters.
Why does she need Glasses?
Why does she appear Japanese while her sister appears like a White girl?
Why does she wear her hair in such a strange fashion?
Why does she wear such a strange bra thing?
Entertaining to look at numbers of ships not yet released.
>Fire-fighting ship to be purposefully used on friendlies.
CA's could properly play support!
>left to right
>Marblehead, Lexington, Sculpin, Edsall, Chicago, Maryland
Pruned Changelog of all the information irrelevant to a non-developer, such as "removed file" or "added file". These are worthless without access to the values behind them if they even changed at all.
>She's tanned, because she fought more under the sun
I had a dream there were subs in WoWs.
You could only queue against other subs and the game mode involved sinking enemy AI-controlled merchant ships.
certain captain skills and by default the upgrades for a ship do so little that they're literally worthless, you really gotta pick and choose which ones to invest in because you could get a perk or an upgrade that doesn't help you at all
>first match in the Karl post patch
>actually did well
>survived the match
>took a few hits and my engine stayed intact
>set a myogi on fire 4 times
Seems its gotten a bit better
Gnevy and Ognevoi teach you how to start relying on your guns and are a little harder because their damage output is a little low - more fires than HE is not uncommon. Get superintendent because you absolutely need to be able to sit in smoke and spam everything.
Derzki and Storozhevoi will be amazing if you have any skill in watching the minimap for suicide rush options.
Izy is in-between.
After going through the whole German tree to elite Roon, the grind through the Soviet DDs has been just terribly fun. I recommend them, and Kiev is certainly the cherry.
>buy WoD after literally 3 days without doing jack shit on MoP
>play it for a good while today
>have a fuck ton of fun
>garrison is neat as fuck
>literally making my shit more busier which is great
god damn i
WHO IN THE EVER LIVING FUCK DECIDED CAPTURE POINTS SHOULD BE 1000 EACH
THIS MAY AS WELL BE FUCKING CAPTURE THE FLAG EXCEPT WITH FAST AS SHIT CAPTURE TIMES
FUCK THIS FUCKING SLAVIC SHIT GAME
wrong thread m8
You came to the wrong general, anon.
That she is!
>kongo on strait
>ended the game with 2 hits and no damage, was a defeat
>second game, solomons
>get suicide rushed by a nicholas who broke through the slot
>got torp nuked trying to switch to HE
>switch to another ship
>derzki on big race
>head for DD fightan' arena
>get a helmet fire trying to dodge torps, fire torps, and gunboat, a pair or clemsons
>decide to grind some credits on aurora
>same situation, with a clemson and a sampson
>nuke the clemson after cracking his engine
>sampson closes and torp nukes me, cant turn fast enough and guns can't turn fast enough
Time to call it quits for a while...
New censorship program/system.
10/10 I feel safer with it in place.
>Thai street language
>Always used with "mae" (mother), the term "yed mae!" is an interjection expressing surprise or disgust to a situation, equivalent to "Fuck You!". It does not literally mean "to fuck your mother." Many variations of the term arise such as "mae yed!", "yed ped!" (ped = duck), "yed mon!" (mon is an abbreviation of "Doraemon"), "yed khrok!" (khrok = mortar) etc
Fucking SEA, I swear. Why is WG so concerned with
>our server gets shafted in literally every possible opportunity or just outright forgotten about
>except this one off case where some fucking engrish faggot decided to add the most retarded filter ever put into a game to cater to some backwater shithole that only makes up a minority of the server
first the flag retardation and now this
what the FUCK wargaming
That's what I figured it was since gook was also censored, but that doesn't explain why poop, sex, and fag are as well.
Perhaps the person in charge of censoring words is like... 12?
well the historical flag mod appears to have broken
Wow, so is WG retarded? Trying to cater to koreans gets you nowhere - they don't give a shit about bote games, or anything that isnt a MOBA.
>all this subtle moba shit in WoWS
>implying it isn't true
>Koreans play tons of different shit
>Japs only play browser region-locked games, Vita and japRPG MMOs that nobody ever heard about outside muh Nihon
Gee, I wonder what demographic is more profitable.
>Japs only play browser region-locked games, Vita and japRPG MMOs that nobody ever heard about outside muh Nihon
but anon, that isn't true, the Japs basically pioneered the whole damn videogame industry
>45% w/r overall
>has the Tirpitz, Sims, and Gremy
>44k average damage in the Taiho
>Taiho's average damage on NA is 80k
These are your team mates.
If you get a fighter vs fighter engagement as soon as the fighters clash rapidly tell yours to go home and at the same time tell them to attack the fighters. If you do it right the game deletes exactly 3 enemy fighters. People are already abusing this and I bet it's a long time before it gets fixed. Go destroy the Anti air scourge.
This just happened to me in my bogue, I actually came here to see if people were reporting a bug and here we are.
Fully upgraded bogue fighters with fighter ship upgrades and I go against a langley fighter group and as they clash suddenly 3 of my planes were gone in an instant.
Nah m8 I was in a T7 game and Gydeon was on the opposite team in a Hiryu with the +1 fighter/bomber perk. Guess he wanted to farm lower tiers with his maxed out captain. He still out outplayed by our own Hiryu somehow and Gydeon performed worse than his own team's Ryujo.
hey /wowsg/, i've been playing for about a week. how are my stats?
Cap XP is the best thing that has happened to DD's in a while
Aside of course, biased soviet DDs.
>Play IJN BBs
>Switch to USN BBs for the hell of it
>Suddenly, 70% winrate in the past week
I don't understand. Everything about IJN ships on paper seemed to appeal to me more than the American ships by miles. Many times, when I'm in an American BB, I curse that I don't have enough speed, or that my firing range is too short, or that I didn't have enough health to tank fires and flooding. Why am I winning so much? Is it because I bought a nendoroid of pic related, and she's blessing me with with the power of the abyss to sink filthy IJN scum?
How did the new torpedo bomber things effect Jap carriers? Hiryuu specifically. I researched it a long time ago, but I've held off on buying it because I heard the Jap TBs were going to get an inverted spread. This didn't happen, but I'd still like to hear about the current situation. I just got out of a match where both teams Hiryuus scored under 1000xp...
I know that feeling
Closer range means better accuracy, I guess.
Also, Abyssals aren't USN dude. USN are girls.
Any idea when we're getting the rest of the German tech tree, or is WG just going to sit on their arses patting each other on the back for actually doing something good for 0.5.1 for the next year?
We'll probably get a line of Britbong ships, most likely a BC/BB line, then I figure they'll start filling out the rest of the Sov and German tree's. Right now I think WG is just trying to get out contents, instead of spending a ton of time making whole trees.
>no free for all mode
What would be funny is nation locked mode, with no mixed teams. All jap (axis) on side, all us (allies) on the other.
Would be interesting
>burger girl looks more Asian than the Jap girl
>Game with nothing but other damage sponges for me to shoot at
>can actually have point blank range brawls without having to worry about getting fucked by a million torpedoes trying to get close
Given a parity in crew, commanders, and supplies, I'd give both to Yamato, I seriously doubt that an Iowa could stand up to a Yamato alone in a straight up fight in any configuration.
Lets do some quick math.
8 Squadrons each.
96 squadrons in the air per side
24 Hakuryus equals 192 Squadrons at once in the air.
>We'll probably get a line of Britbong ships, most likely a BC/BB line, then I figure they'll start filling out the rest of the Sov and German tree's.
I guess, but this one line at a time bullshit annoys the fuck out of me, I'd much rather spend a little while longer waiting and get an actual tree.
>there will never be a WoWS for the pre-dreadnought era where the prime fighting range is within 9km and all the battleships have rams
>pre-dreadnoughts will always be shitty tier 2s that can't do anything in this game
It sucks to be interested in obscure time periods.
Are you seriously comparing a single BB with 6km range to half a team full of DDs spamming walls of torps 10-20 km out every 30 seconds?
Frankly I'd be happy to finally be able to just get in range of the Tirpitz's torps
>Iowa wouldnt be able to win with 16 Harpoons and 32 Tomahawks
Why did they release vodka DDs before making any bong ships? Why make ships for a nation that ended up being almost irrelevant navally instead of ships for Europe's foremost naval power at the time?
>radar not allowed
The ability for Iowa to track a moving target while Iowa also moved, and track it accurately, would be an insurmountable advantage against Yamato. I'm a Hotel man as much as the next here, but that's the simple truth of the matter. By 1944, Burger tech was light years ahead of Jap tech. If no radar fire control is allowed, then Yamato has a very good chance of winning.
>Why make ships for a nation that ended up being almost irrelevant navally instead of ships for NOT RUSSIA
Dude, it's not that hard to understand why
Because Russians make up a huge portion of their market and they already started the game off with two of Russia's other most hated nations, Japan and AMERICA.
Anyways Warspite was in before ruskies.
If the Sea Sparrow were installed it would use them, don't know if the CIWS can stop shells since the system wasn't designed for that.
not guaranteed to be a 'bug'... but is in fact working as intended possibly.
Perk clearly states "100% increase to combat performance of fighters for each tier of difference between them..
SO a langley with T3 (stock) planes has 21 dps and 501 survival.
A bogue with 'best' planes has 35 dps and 940 survival. AND ARE TIER V's
that is a difference of two tiers.
So 21dps vs 35 dps and 560 vs 940
the 35 of course should win WITHOUT that perk..
toss the perk into the mix and ^ becomes
63 vs 35 and 1680 vs 940
Note this is not counting any module bonuses..
So that would certainly cause the higher tiered fighters to get RAPED considering the langley has nearly double the dps and survival rolls.
6 dice rolls with ___ chance to insta-kill the 'better' planes.
So there is no reason to use top tier fighters for FIGHTER VS FIGHER planned loadouts.
Anybody have the post/cap showing how to calculate the % to kill a plane? (like 23% per plane dice roll for langley to kill a hoshou plane vs 14% for hoshou.. prior to this patch of course.)
I seem to have misplaced it and am curious how ludicrous the % chance is with this new setup.
TL;DR: Simple math shows that the lower tier turns into the hulk for double or triple damage against higher tier, :^)
>one of the main features of the patch is events and challenges
>no events available
>no challenges available
nvm, located it.
"Chance of 1 Squad to shoot down 1 Plane:
Total DPS / Survivability = (X)*100%/sec"
For the Langley: 63 * 6 = 378(Lang dps) / 940 (bog's surv.) = .40212 (40.21% chance per second(46.9% with 7 fighters))
For the Bogue: 35 x 6 = 210 (bog's dps) / 1680 (Lang surv.) = 0.125 (12.5% chance per second (14.5% with 7 fighters))
So yeah! That'd explain it. (I am assuming the talent actually increases the survival rate, and not just the damage.) and again, the above is not counting the % increase from modules.
and the numbers are NOT cumulative.. (two squads vs 1 would be two 'rolls' of 40% and NOT a single roll of 80%)
>Buy my first BB after sitting on Chikuma for ages
>So stoked to fire a full broadside at some cruiser scum
>Get in the game
>Kawachi takes a fucking century to get anywhere
>Die of old age waiting for the guns to reload
It's neat that some of the small guns auto attack nearby ships tho
At least you're not in the South Carolina. Don't worry, Myogi is much faster and fires much further, and it's not long till you unlock Kongo "Tier 5 Goddess" Bongo after that.
Yamato. At least during good weather.
Iowas FC can't secure enough hits while being outside Yamatos immunity zone.
Once the range is around 20km Yamatos armor and size carries the day.
>tfw you remember how relatively accurate secondaries used to be in CBT
So sleepy. But I can't put this free premium to waste.
>tfw playing nothing but the Karl to get it out the way quicker while I have prem
>tfw it's still pretty shit
>be IJN cruiser
>rush in close range
>fire 203mm railguns directly into everythings citadels
>annihilate DDs with 203mm HE
>2-3 ships killed
>die to return fire
>only 4 minutes into a match
>1500-2000 base exp
>decide to try surviving longer
>stay farther back
>no damage done
>still do significantly less damage
>end match alive
>700-1000 base exp
And that's why my survival percentage is 20%
>tfw I have nothing to grind but Myoko, Amagi, and Konigsberg with my free premium
easy wins, easy life
They were like firehoses. You were unstoppable at close range if you could dodge torpedoes or catch them on cooldown. The most fun I've ever had in this game was playing Nagato back then. I guess it was just too confusing for people to learn to stay the fuck away from the floating fortress.
mutsuki C hull with the gun upgrade makes it actually capable of shooting because while the hull upgrade removes 2 turrets, the gun upgrade Doubles the rate of fire of the remaining turrets, and vastly increases their traverse speed.
>unlock ranked battles
>ranked battles are unavailable
ha ha ha.
It's only real vice is that its slow, and the turrets turn like their covered in rust - both issues that can be mitigated with proper planning. Other then that, its basically a St Louis, but I notice its shell performance seems much better
>1m credit out of nowhere (actually it's from clearing a Mission)
This is why we can't go 1.0.0.
Get past it.
As fast as you possibly can.
Don't force yourself to play it any longer then have too.
Might just be all mental, but I get better games out of the Aurora then I do in the St Louis. The shell groupings seem tighter, and RNG tends to give me more fires, more penetrations.
I wouldn't be surprised if it had favorable RNG coding simply because its a premium, its russian, and its the flagship of the russian navy (once it goes back into service next year)
It's operating cost will still be less then putting Iowa back into service. So, in a question of whose more retarded, I can't really decide which side wins.
>I wouldn't be surprised if it had favorable RNG coding simply because its a premium, its russian, and its the flagship of the russian navy (once it goes back into service next year)
lol fucking what
>yfw Putin sails Aurora around the world to have a 1v1 rematch with Mikasa
>In January 2013 Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu announced plans to recommission Aurora and make her the flagship of the Russian Navy due to her historical and cultural importance. On 21 September 2014 the ship was towed to the Admiralty Shipyard in Kronstadt to be overhauled, to return in 2016.
Yep, she's coming back.
I would pay money to see it. Putin would probably captain the thing himself
btw china made a replica of their ironclad dingyuan
i suppose they are going to return her into the service too :^)
>tfw century old Russian, Chinese, and Japanese ships go up against our new playstation textured ships
>tfw we will never recommission the HMS Victory as our flagship
Fun little fact, the only US Navy ship currently in service with a combat record and ships sunk, is a 217 year old Heavy Frigate.
Shit, the more I look at this thing, the more it looks like a Star Fox ship.
Forgot the pic
According to wiki, the last ship with combat experience before Conny was the USS Simpson, a Perry class Frigate, that sunk a cartel submarine.
christ that thing is ugly. Function over form, I guess.
>navy thought stealth ships were a dead end 20 years ago
>trying it again
Shoulda just kept the sea shadow in service. What a waste of money.
Wow, look at this retard. USN is starting to look like special olympics of the sea
i googled a bit... they actually have their own submarine wharfs and submarine designers... my god.....
she has the bow like aurora <3
also what i like about that zoidberg class destroyer
>The class has a low radar profile; an integrated power system, which can send electricity to the electric drive motors or weapons, which may someday include a railgun or free-electron lasers;
>weapons, which may someday include a railgun or free-electron lasers
>They take the place of battleships in filling the former congressional mandate for naval fire support
dd >>> bb
bb go home, dd took your place
that one actually
I've spent literally the entire time I've been playing the game grinding for hotel, and now that I've unlocked her my motivation for playing the game has completely gone
drug submarines are steered with a car steering wheel
what a shame
why you don't play her now
also when ranked is back you can play her ranked
>bb go home, dd took your place
Destroyers actually did the bulk of the fighting in WW2. They were cheap, easy to build, easy to repair, and designed for high endurance. They could pretty much do anything needed, from escort to strike missions. They could defense themselves from air threat, and had the firepower to take out ships of larger tonnage.
There is a reason why all other surface warfare ship classes became marginalized post war, except for DD's and CV's.
I can understand that - grind to tier 10, and the last thing you want to do is go through all that work on another line. And since your at the top, theres nothing to work toward.
I have that problem - i have no desire to play a ship if I've already gotten the daily on it. I actually quit playing War Thunder from boredom once dailys were removed completely.
Dunno what to tell ya senpai. If all you've played in BB's and Cruisers, give DD's or CV's a try - playstyle is so different you might enjoy it. If thats something your already familiar with, give the game a rest for a while.
But give your Hotel some love - you worked so hard to be with her, she deserves some of your time.
The person driving it is probably gonna be a desperate mexican with no other job opportunities. His only hope is that the coast guard doesn't catch him and make him talk, because cartel goons would chop his wife and kids into little pieces, and send him a DVD video of it.
I was trying to a little while ago, but SEA is pretty ded so getting into T10 games can be a pain in the ass depending on the time of day
honestly probably going to go play some GS games for a little while and take a break from the game. knowing me I'll be back soon though, probably once all the mods are fixed
Depends on if you want to keep lower tier ships. I still have my Tenryu because its just a great fun bote.
But port slots are a precious resource assuming your not gonna dump real money into the game to get more.
actually that article had a pic of a captain of one of those submarines who said that they lived on crackers, canned beans and milk and it was 'hellish'
`Once upon a time there were three little sisters,' the Dormouse began in a great hurry; `and their names were Elsie, Lacie, and Tillie; and they lived at the bottom of a well--'
`What did they live on?' said Alice, who always took a great interest in questions of eating and drinking.
`They lived on treacle,' said the Dormouse, after thinking a minute or two.
`They couldn't have done that, you know,' Alice gently remarked; `they'd have been ill.'
`So they were,' said the Dormouse; `VERY ill.'
also they had a some kind of commissar aboard whose job was to prevent possible mutinies
also it seems their crew isn't particularly afraid to fail their mission
She was my favorite
But Clemson stole my heart
well you can get free slots with some random codes flying here and there, i think i got at least 2 or 3 free slots with codes for the month which i play, it's mostly na stuff though and nobody knows when you can get the next code
anyway chikuma is crap, hashidate and umikaze are decent, but you dont want to keep them too unless you want to stat pad intentionally playing very low tier games for quite a while
still many people keep umikaze
Man, I don't know how much the Gun Fire Control Mod affects accuracy, but it's definitely noticeable on the IJN cruisers.
Consistently slamming 7 of my 10 shot salvo into a BB from 14km away is the greatest feeling in the world, especially when I have a 20% chance of causing fire.
Why did the server have to go down? I was having fun again in my Mahan killing Derpitz.
>5 citpens in a row against some guy in an Iowa
man, poor dude
also this ship is alright I guess, it's giving me a bit of motivation to keep playing
How is Chikuma crap when Hashidate is a level above it?
Also is it a good idea to sell the other factions' starter ships? Can I get them back when I need to advance their trees?
Yeah you can buy ships back whenever you want, including the tier 1s, but I don't think they give or cost much/any credits so it's only really for the port slots
and the Chikuma is bad because being a tier higher means it's fighting against other higher tier ships, and compared to them it's not very good
I had the fire control upgrade, but got the hull upgrade after this one. Both teams were the magical level of bad enough that I could just sit back and club.
We were still dangerously close to losing because I was busy clubbing A, and as happens so often nobody went to grab C early not even a DD
poland actually had navy
i recall they had a submarine which was sunk by allies with friendly fire :^)
oh, wait it was a british submarine loaned to poland
So that people will buy that line's premium and grab some cash before they finally release the relevant ones. That's when people will gobble it all up with prem time, free exp and premium boats.
>install game for the first time
>these two started this 1v1 at less than half health
>they spend literally 8 minutes firing HE at point blank range straight into each others citadels without doing more than 30k damage combined
>one of them only managed to get a kill because of fire damage
what the fuck did I just watch
Finally a game with DD where I wasn't pure shit.
>Can't seem to win a game with the Konigsburg after just buying it
>don't care because it's a stupidly fun bote after playing nothing but BBs for the last 600 games
man between this and my new Yamato this game is starting to be fun again
An actual mission!
>Win battle and destroy two ships.
So my german grind is postponed...
what the fuck is this shit, didnt they add +XP for capture? Two games now with zero capture points and Ive been capturing from the start in A and B game. Is it only ABCD games that counts?
You may be able to pen unarmored things like Tenryu, Kuma, Langley, Hosho, Bogue, etc.
So, at shorter ranges, yes, you can try AP agaisnt those targets.
Against pretty much everything else, use HE.
Is 5.1 fun?
Won't be able to play until Sunday atleast
Stop firing HE at max range, start firing HE at ranges where you hit and wreck shit.
Stop missing with torps, start hitting with torps.
Don't rush in like a retard.
Don't torp your allies.
Post yfw you realise that Kongo is Tier 5 KV2 all over again.
Anyone else playing with the osx wrapper and hanging on update? I know I can fix it with a full reinstall, but i'd rather not.
These are the signal flags, with some others. There's a pirate flag with a skull as well, most probably for tutorial or some new mode.
>the IJN flag triggers me
one part of aslain's modpack had historically correct flags
except for some German ships which should have reichsmarine flags it worked fine
of course the new patch broke everything again because we can't have nice things
Does the soviet flags look weird? I took one from the tier two and one from the tier 5 as they both uses different flags in the original.
And here is the closeup.
Finally got the New Horizons mission done.
So many kill stealers.
Jesus fucking christ people, if the Montana is at 1k HP and on fire and has already popped his repair, he is not a fucking threat.
You've not seen anything. This is how you know its the weekend.
circles of wows hell:
>dds who launch torps ahead of friendlies
>cas who die to dds
>bbs who run to the edge of the map and stay there all game
>cvs who run to the edge of the map away from their team and get picked off
Are people so trash at this game that playing shit like NM that still averages 50% in WR is considered hell on earth?
I mean, I'd freely admit that IJN BBs are superior, but I refuse to believe there are players who can't do decent with US BBs, even with the slow speed and range.
Gee, this surely will stop those Zao's shells from penetrating my ass. Thanks, WG!
That's not what the patchnote says.
Yah. "Bad translation".
No new ships have received the sonar.
It's very useful on the early german ships, because they have a better, longer range version than everyone else does.
I can confirm that it is useful through my own experience.
You can check the actual ranges in-game. The German acoustic search is effective for a couple kilometers farther than other nations.
> tfw fire torp salvo clear away from allies
> tfw ally suddenly changes course and steers true into the full force of all 4 torpedoes
Shouldn't there be some warning for this?
>Playing match at tier 6
>Konig player asks what his HA button does
>"Oh lol thanks I never knew that"
That's why you've never had trouble with it as a DD
Try it from the other side as a person who knows what's going on.
>aim ahead of blueline
>he crashes into line and stops at a standstill
>torp a blueliner
>crashes into line and comes to a standstill, invalidating your torps
>they then do supersaiyan turns and rape you with their guns
blue lines kill this game
>planes spot a dd
>frontline DDs spot a DD
>any cruiser spots a DD
90% of the time you don't even need Sonar to spot a DD. Hell, if you're first on the front line, you're prime target for free citpens.
It's placebo shit, your kraut boat's sonar isn't as great as you make it out to be.
>You use it when dds are hiding in smoke
Wow, tell me something I don't know. That applies to every ship with sonar. That extended range isn't a fucking gamebreaker, it's still placebo shit.
If you know that sonar is used vs DDs in smoke, why make examples of all the times DDs are spotted out of smoke?
Would you rather fight a DD at 5km or 3km?
Never said, anywhere, by anyone. Just useful. Like the U.S. BBs having 20 second repair parties instead of the 10 seconds IJN has.
You know why I think tanks are better than ships? Because there is no shipgirl out there that is cuter than Yukari and that's a fact.
Who said anything about 15km? Low tier BBs like Kawachi can't even hit that range and Wyoming can barely reach it. Jousting at 6-8 is more than enough, and you don't need fucking sonar to help you out.
>There is this thing that will help you dodge the torpedos and find DDs in smokes
>I don't need it because I always click DDs at exactly 6 kilometers and haven't had a DD sneak on me ever
