>implying anyone cares about VGL
Shit that makes me miss ded hours general
It's fun for the whole family, is what it is.
>in b4 /merit/ brutality sparks off the Los /4ccg/ riots
So basically you are just unable to stop yourself from being a cheeky cunt.
Like that smugleaf referee. I love you for doing the grim reaper, but what is this gman tier attention whoring? As silly and hyper sensitive /merit/ might be, I still find them very predictable - can't be that hard to avoid shit.
>Not according to the wiki.
my b :~)
We would like to be having word with you, comrade.
This is another thing I don't get about you. One minute you are all apologetic and merit's bitch, the other doing cheeky banter again. I don't know if you just pretend to be a brown noser or if you are unable to see how unbelievable you make yourself by displaying so much contradicting behavior. You just end up damaging controlling your lads' posts as well as merits', putting yourself in an awkward middle the moment thing. Who even knows at this point what your true viewpoints are if you end up correcting both sides?
Anyway, why not just scale back what you do and do it properly instead? Tony's autism is the reason he is kept around. Before his regime things might have been easier, but we got shit like sexcopter's ms paint job on the menus, and everyone trying to smuggle in cheeky banter. That shit was fun most of the time, but every now and then it just made the cup look like a way worse circlejerk than it actually is.
>/biz/ will most likely never play again after this cup
Everything is ready with the team (except for the kit... I guess)
I couldn't spend much time on Skype today so didn't see if anyone tried to contact me. Who should I talk to?
So, /merit/ members, instead of doing anything productive or being actually prepared for Cup (like having emergency streamer in case of Sou's PC blowing up - if Boris wouldn't be watching, we would end up in dire situation. Come on, even friendlies have backup streamers), are either:
a) permamently away, forcing managers who care and have some skills to do their work with aesthetics;
b) stalking people they have on their shitlist and trying to punish them for every sentence that hurts their little feelings, even if those are not posted on official 4CC media
c) Sou himself, who is actually based and understands what 4CC is about, but cannot take everything on himself and his voice does not count with overwhelming majority of bronies.
Yeah, we're certainly in Orwellian state, as next step will be punishing thought crimes against kekpony and his left testicle. Cup will probably die in next few seasons if they won't change approach, Cup will die out of lack of interest in next few seasons.
>don't realize that people take bantering and shitposting way more seriously than you do
>Taking banter and shitposting seriously
That's not how banter and shitposting works...
>capital board names
Man the /w/ sticky might not have as many relevant links
well there's only one since wallbase is dedbut at least we don't call the boards /W/ and /WG/.
Maybe. I can give you this however.
This thread has a disturbing lack of birds
Step it up
The post-apocalypse is lonely
Yes, it is.
Have some cup related pics to pass the time.
Let's build a campfire and tell stories while we sulk in this dark abyss.
Thanks senpai I didn't have that one
Have a classic
Pic now relevant because >/y/
Drama, nothing new actually.
Some people take this too seriously, some other take it way too lightly, they fight, fling shit to each other, feelings are hurt and it all leads to nothing, same old shit.
I feel like the problem is now its not just randoms shitflinging at each other, its also the people who run the cup. The people who should remain objective but have continuously proved they are incapable of doing so.
Eh, I'm not gonna be too picky, after all it's a bunch of people doing this stuff that will get us some laughs and hype >for free, I appreciate and respect that.
I'd just love if they could keep their feelings in check to avoid issues like this, but I guess I keep forgetting where we are.
Ran out of cup pictures since I got a new computer, but have a filename.
Updated template w/ new logos because I'm autistic
I have to make a GK qualification poll to decide my general's second GK. And when I return 10 hours later, a character with 0 vote rose up to #3. I don't know is my strawpoll is rigged or what. Does poal.me disable proxy-voting?
Not sure what bs occurred here, but why did I have to find this after coming home?
>Hiro is considering a board for fanfics
>/fan/ team could play in Spring
I also hate /co/, because they're the only team I know that plays undeniably worse than the actual quality of the board, which is saying something when it's /co/.
/m/ has been getting better recently so I'm hopeful for them.
>expecting anything else from /4ccg/
So we can safely agree that these are the Dank Memes of this Babby cup
>Cheeky 90+ goal abuse - /a/
>Umaru abuse - /a/, /wsg/
>beta uprising - /r9k/
>weeb uprising - /a/ and other weeb teams doing well in the cup
>Babby cup was suppose to be a containment cup for weeb team so they won't leak out into the Elite Cup
>Weeb teams were set loose and are now threatening the integrity of the Elite Cup
>Sou let this happened
Truly we are entering the dark age of 4CC
Tony already banned Smugleaf before the cup because he left a 'Tony is a kek' in the note.
Boris lifted the Smugleaf ban because 'he is useful' but banned Koala and Hamuko as a sacrifice to the Pony Gods.
Get fugged, [s4s].
how are any of these useless?
>/his/ (wanted for years
>/aco/ (only useless since it's not a /fur/ containment dump)
not to mention the other candidates have purpose too
>/cel/ - /hr/ wants them to go away, just push them to 8gag
>/fg/ - only Risk players seem to be pushing for it. delete it in a year
>/fic/ - will improve quality on three boards (/mlp/, /tg/, /lit/)
/his/ is alright and while I don't mind /aco/, wasn't the reason why we didn't have a western cartoon board because western artists are too trigger happy with copyright claims?
/fic/ will be a cancer inducing tripfag fest though.
>wasn't the reason why we didn't have a western cartoon board because western artists are too trigger happy with copyright claims?
Pretty much but since 4chan has a DMCA policy now, they get safe harbour protection as long as they comply with takedowns. And copyright takedowns on 4chan are meaningless anyway, because by the time a DMCA request arrives the thread usually has been pruned already anyway.
/eternal skateboarding general/
And all of them will still be accepted over /4ccg/ :^(
It's being pushed as a containment board for roll threads and imageboard role-playing as well as a solution to the quests and CYOA threads. In reality, it's only Riskfags that want their own board after being denied on /q/ several years ago.
They do have one thing of quality.
A virtual football team that has it's games shown in fucking bars and conventions. Can't say the same thing about /vg/ who's only claim to fame is inspiring boards to talk about forming board leagues.
Somebody post the YT vid of guys watching the summer 2015 final in a bar.
while /pol/ has polar opposite opinions from tumblr, it works in exact same way. Nothing but mindless drones shouting self-made words and acronyms, blindly following their ideological leaders, group hugging and indulging in own illusions about how the world works or how it should be and instantly branding anoyone who dares to have different opinion. It doesn't even work as containment board properly, as /pol/tards are constantly shitting other boards with antijew and antisocialist propaganda or ebin holocaust denying. Existence of /pol/ does not solve any problems by keeping certain kind of people out, it rather creates new problem by attracting that kind of people who shouldn't browse 4chan in first place.
Go ahead and call me a good goyim or post happy merchant picture, I know that this is the only response you are capable of.
>/pol/ is actually one of the better boards on this website
/pol/ACKS ACTUALLY BELIEVE THIS
YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP
The people spamming /pol/ may-mays on your precious board aren't "from" /pol/. They're from your board, but they just can't help themselves from acting like retards everywhere they go.
/pol/ hates these people too.
Personally I find /g/ one of the most cancerous boards in existence. The reasons are quite obvious.
That and /sci/ to some extent. But that's probably because browsing /sci/ makes it obvious that 4chan is full of underage kiddies.
/e/ and /wg/ have lewd things in them that, I think in /wg/'s case, can't be porn.
/hc/ has BDSM "torture chambers". /x/ talks about torture chambers
HIME HIME HIME HIME
Alright this one's got me. Mormon .gif/.webm's and "how to get rich quick" schemes, can't see anything there.
Pixels are art. I think >vectors?
Made pots assuming everyone in the VGL stays in.
>he doens't know
They created a meme so large that even the fucking creator of the series recognized.
same company, so you get official stuff like this
# of Teams that started in the VGL1 - 13
# of Teams that started in the VGL2 - 5
# of Teams that started in the VGL3 - 3
# of Teams that started in the VGL4 - 3 (+1 revival)
# of Teams that will debut in the VGL5 - 8
Three championships have gone to the "First Founding". One has gone to the "Third Founding".
I also feel as though a better pick could be made for /ksg/'s spot, like /npg/ or /aa2g/.
Weeb games are bad, but dedicating a whole thread to just dump /e/-tier content of the characters is even worse. They're all cancer in the VGL
>/npg/ did better than /mk8g/ last league
>/npg/ is a pot below /mk8g/ solely because /nepgen/, the #2 team threw the game against /mk8g/ for the memes
Rankings, ladies and gentlemen.
>Pot 2 isn't autism
/nintyg/ is manchildren
/domg/ has a Dwarf Fortress-tier wall of entry
/@/ is a weeb gen
/feg/ is a weeb gen, and based on a shitty series at that
/dsg/ is a collection of /v/-fags that come in and out at random intervals talking about the most mundane of things
/fgg/ is fine
/gsg/ is one of the most autistic generals in the board, just ask them about borders
/mk8g/ is actually a tripfag circlejerk.
not trying to be mean, just taking the piss out of a few generals I dig
I actually like /int/ a lot so I wouldn't be too sad if you guys advanced.
The worst possible outcome of that group for me will be /wsg/ and /n/ advancing
Which knowing my luck is probably what will happen
For /sp/ to stay in babbies, they need to lose by at least 2 goals, or lose by 1 goal and /diy/ doesn't lose by at least 2 goals.
/sp/ will advance with at least a draw. /sci/ will advance with any win. Both will advance if /sp/ loses by 1 goal and /diy/ loses by at least 2 goals.
Because having many people in the midfield does not guarantee control if you're a fucking retard.
What people need to figure out already is fluid. After watching a few certain matches, I think I'm finally understanding how to make it work.
Or so help me god.
Check out this article from 2014
Poor, poor, poor PBK
What we did to them was unfortunate
>I'm a basement-dwelling weeb who doesn't have social skills
>I can't even stand to see normies enjoy themselves that I have to take every opportunity to shit on them when I can
>and bottomed the group
I don't think you know what that means desu desu desu
Oh, sort of like Group G?
It's not that /fit/ aren't really fucking good; it's just that they suffer from the /s/ syndrome of looking way too good because they don't get any real opposition until the knockouts happen
/r9k/ is at it again
Le ebin contrarian
If we go by the facts than Ved is first because he can do 60fps. After that it's Boris at 2nd because of his efforts over the past years, GB 3rd because comfy, Gracen 4th, then a power gap and then Sou at 100th and the rest after that.
He has a psychopath stalking him who sends him parts of his daughter each time a smile manages to creep on his face.
You don't get it, Anon. If he laughs, she dies. The killer is running out of toes to send.
Hype is good on small doses.
I like Ved, but he has a problem that he scream over every little thing. GB is a really good example of a commentator knowing when to get hype.
Also Tenko is pretty OK as a color commentator and his ban should be lifted
>Also Tenko is pretty OK as a color commentator and his ban should be lifted
The only reason they banned him is because Boris hates any and all forms of fun, and his yes-men horsefucker troupe supports him in his no-fun policy.
He's banned from commentating.
I remember back in Spring when Ved paused the game just as Mangum was tapping in the ball less than a feet away from the goal, and he still screamed like crazy when he unpaused as if he wasn't expecting it.
What? When? Why?
Top Tier, serious mode:
Boris, Gracen, Nepgear, Paval
Top Tier, happy little accidents:
Sou, GB, Tenko
Solid tier, serious mode:
Carma, Lark, Tottori (rip), Captain Planet, Pybro
Solid tier, happy little accidents:
SDA, Headbuddy (rip)
CanadaFag (good riddance)
Just mute the commentary tier:
Not football but good tier:
Twinky, Polybius, Craig
Boris (whe /mlp/ isn't playing)
I literally can't stop being so hyp about colored horses:
Boris (when /mlp/ is playing)
I think it was just major warning, real ban came after he called Boris while being completely plastered and spent whole match laughing at innapropiate moments, interrupting everyone and making angry german noises
>Rules have been rewritten just for /utg/
>the city of the /ag/ league
/utg/ and /fgog/ were both stated way before any of the two signed up that they would be exceptions due to already being around for a few months and quickly becoming very fast and populated generals.
>and making angry german noises
So, basically, just speaking German normally.
I still remember when Tenko used to call GB and spend several matches in a row speaking nazi. One-time gimmick I would understand, but it was happening frequently enough to get pretty tiring.
I mean I don't see the problem here. The 6 month rule was rather extreme and one of the last traces of Demessup left in the league. If the 2 generals actually want to play, I don't see why not.
There were no 'exceptions', the rule was completely re-written because it was an awful rule to begin with.
The main reason it existed was because DeMessi had his rectum ripped apart by /[email protected]/, and everyone except him in the council decided to scrap it and just do every general by a case by case rather than set a global ruling, seeing as every general has different situations.
We also kicked DeMessi out the council because he got a bit mad + he's a useless cunt.
Well no, I don't have a problem with that, I just find it hilarious that /vg/ would scrap its sole rule to accomodate popular generals.
Wasn't the 6 months rule introduced solely because DeMessup was butthurt about [email protected]?
true that. It pains me to admit it, but Cunt Pony is truly irreplacable at this moment (Bent does nothing useful and can go fuck himslef though). But Boris? We have like 10+ people who streamed at least one event (starting from comfy invitationals and ending on official cups) at this moment. Although Boris is very useful due to his huge experience, quite solid technical aspect and great, balanced commentary, the Cup wouldn't crumble without him at this point.
We thought the rule was dumb because it was too broad. A 6 month old general could have very little culture or interest, while a 3 month old general could have tons of interest and culture. Not to say that we're just going to let any general into the league now, just that we want to go by a case-by-case thing. Something like /irg/, which is very slow, very new, and has no real culture yet, would be denied outright.
More like one, unless SeeSaw feels like drumming up more interest than the one positive response (and the couple where they felt too nervous about playing an action game) he got in his proof for /lisg/, and also letting them play autopilot or finding someone else in there to manage them.
Boris is a hothead who doesn't know enough
Ved is Boris 1.5 and knows even less about PES, its inner workings, and how to deal with the cup community.
Tony is never around
f4r is a cunt
BGP is a cunt
Nomo is a cunt
Nepgear is Sou 1.5, chill approach to streaming, comfy to listen to, but nowhere near as kek-inducing
Smugleaf, while cheeky, dedicates so much time and effort into the cup as a whole and is on time with his shit
QD is the community moderator bent wishes he could be, and just as good if not better than Lear.
gw, while abrasive and cuntish, is reasonable in an administrative position and is balanced out nicely by his counterpart QD.
Honestly replace Nomo with Sou and you have some top-tier Cup Administration. K
ZyzzStream was right, we should give extra right to teams representing the fastest boards. Each team should start out with just two silvers and then they'd have a right to promote other players to silvers and silvers to gold for every 5PPM the board gets. The biggest boards should also get medal keepers. Big teams having to play by the same right as small teams make no sense.
Could a 3-2-5 formation with 5 strikers kill every team in the cup.
>Nomo kicks /dsg/ out of the VGL 3
>Gman wins the VGL 3 with /[email protected]/
>QD watches this and becomes /[email protected]/'s backup manager
>Gman is banned
>QD gains managerial experience in /[email protected]/ and is made a /vg/ manager by gw's coup
>QD helps run the /vg/ league he once watched as a fan a year ago and is widely considered one of the better people associated with the cup despite his furfaggotry
This is a fucking saga
Nomo at least puts in a lot of effort when it comes to getting the VGL organized and is okay now that he doesn't post like at all unless it's a VGL announcement. Top tier organizer tho imo desu
>5PPM for each medal promotion
>/b/ will get somewhere between 20-30 medal promotions
SIGN ME UP
Not bad but I propose this 2-5-3 instead.
