if you care about your permanent villagers' house staying decent, then never do those delivery or decoration errands.

You also have to keep Re-Tail filled up at all times. There are plenty of furniture that they'll never place back in their house once they've lost it, i.e. Marshal's Space K.K. on his table (albums aren't counted as furniture by villagers), and weird spots like Static's third guitar spot he'll never fill back again with a guitar if memory serves right, villagers with duplicates of one item are a problem too.

I just have to bring my 3DS over to a best buy right? Do I have to access anything in game to get it? But that's impossible to miss, villagers wanting to move out have very noticeable habits (always outside until they notify you, never gives errands) and you know it's only determined when you start a new day. At the worst, you can always probe ahead with a new save file to check if everyone's still in your town.

I'm a bad mayor since I really only see the villagers as collectibles now, but can you really blame me when their conversations are so limited compared to the Gamecube?

City Folk got released the same year it was announced on E3. Everyone's just being too pessimistic about it, but it'd really be more surprising for Nintendo not to cash in on Animal Crossing for the Wii U especially if it ends up being literally just New Leaf HD as feared.

If the NX is as innovative of a hybrid home/handheld console as they claim it will be, AC would be the perfect launch title. AC is the type of game where it can be most comfiest either in front of a tv in your home, or on your 3ds on a subway.

Having the ability to pick between these play-modes would be a massive selling point.

So much of the advertising for AC & CF seemed to focus primarily on the game being a comfy, chill at home type of game. The first game was advertised as a game for stoners to chill with. While CF was advertised as a game for women to chill with at home, bonding with friends over WiiSpeak.

And even attempting to 'repair' a villager's home to original status is a lost cause. People at TBT (and on tumblr blogs) have been outright banned for "lying" about a villager being original, even though they had their original (restored) possessions, but they were in different locations in the home.

It's inevitable once people saw how disgusting their villager houses became after a year of errands. People in /acg/ had already been fussing about it from the start, but the people who cared about it would never accept villagers from other towns in the first place so it wasn't a loud issue.

It surprises me that these people who do care about this now don't get bothered that their villagers are still used good with letters and them always remembering their first town. It'd be a different story if that town was actually your friend's but that's unlikely with online forums.

What's a good way to make a lot of bells? I'm currently paying off the upstairs being added to my home and would like to make it bigger and add more rooms for storing things because I'm a hoarder. Sharks are definitely worth your while. The shadow you would be looking for is easily distinguished from other fish, as the dorsal fin will be sticking out of the water.

Thanks again. I caught a bunch of new bugs and even two extra that are worth 10,000 each(!) and a bunch worth 6,000 and 8,000. I missed the two sharks that I found though. Going to the island for beetles is so much better than collecting fruit from tours.

When I feel like a villager has worn the same thing for too long, I usually send them 2 or 3 of the same shirt at the same time.
They'll put the 1st one in their house, they'll most likely put on the 2nd shirt, and the 3rd one will go into their inventory, so there's a large chance that they'll regift it to you or another villager.

It seems that certain villagers will only wear certain types of clothes. Like Ken wouldn't wear the Royal shirt no matter how many times I sent it to him.
And even though Filbert asked me for my Chef outfit he only displayed it. But he wear the Skull tee as soon as he bought it from me.
I have Able's filled with my own designs so they don't start wearing a crappy one and I usually have a a shirt on hand for one of the villagers to ping and request if I want them back to change. Luckily for me they haven't been swapping shirts for a while now even though they chat often.

you can prevent random move ins by having 10 villagers.
If you have 9, the final one will move in via streetpass or online play, so turn off your wireless and don't play online.
If you have less than 9, the game will keep giving you villagers every 4 days until you have 9.
